Any ordinary dog can play fetch-the-stick.
A really ambitious dog will play fetch-the-mizzenmast.

Full of NTMTOM flavor! (It was use of the word mizzenmast that did it, I think.) Thanks for my first chuckle of the morning!
The sea doggie must be some sort of mast-stiff.
OCH MEIN G_TT!!!
Estoy “verklempt” !!!
Nice language mash-up, Fird!
aw shucks, v
It’s my way of honoring ethnic diversity
That is a very cool photo, with the curve of the horizon, the colors, etc. And of course the puppeh and NOMTOM’s wit make it exceptional!
Go, dog, go!
Katrina, is that you?
I used to LOVE that book as a youngun!
Doggeh is carrying the muzzlemast…
What a great photo! I love that you can see the paw under the water.
Is that mast form the Sloop John B? (your welcome for the earworm)
Damn you! *shaking fist*

Hey guys, Skippy is hanging out at the hospital today. He needs blood work done and I dropped him off this morning and will pick him up on my way home from work. The doctor suspects his pancreas isn’t working right, and if that’s it he will just need to take supplements to get back to normal. (I don’t know whether I’ve mentioned it here, but he’s had poop issues for a while.) Anyway, I’m sure he’s having a good time–everybody there loves him because he’s so mellow.
Keeping Mr. Skippy in my thoughts, even if he is having a good time. I just want him to be okay so please keep us posted.
Thanks Rachel. He’s a pretty healthy guy for going to be 16 in January, but of course I worry when anything is wrong with him. I’ll let you all know.
Sorry, I meant Rachael. I’ll bet that happens to you pretty often.
Hardly ever.
Signed,
Rachel. I mean Rachael.
HEH HEH HEH
I sure hope Skippy is feeling better soon. Me and my feline kids will be sending positive thoughts his way.
Sending the Skipster warm fuzzy thoughts from the ceejoe household. And that’s alot of thoughts!
I hope Skippy is OK. Please let us know how he is doing.
You guys are all such good friends. I’m sure the Skipster will be fit as a fiddle soon.
nnnnnnnnoooooooooooooooooooo skippymom!!! I for one, elegantly and sophisticatedly REFUSE TO BELIEVE that there could be ANYTHING
wrong w/ Mr. Skippypoo.
*pokes finger in each ear*
*closes both eyes*
“la la la la la la la la la la dee dah…la dee dah….la la la…..”
Sending positive thoughts to Skippy!
moi, aussi!
Et moi.
Crossing fingers for Mr. Skippy!
My orange boy, Kyuri, just got diagnosed with diabetes. We’ve changed his diet, and next weekend we get to learn how to give him his insulin. (Oh joy…….)
yee HAW??
By the way, I didn’t really mean to steal this thread. I should mention that the picture of the dog swimming with the big stick is awesome.
“Have you seen my mizzenmast? It’s mizzen.” –Ernie, in pirate gear, to Bert
Ha!
Wonder if Gordon knows what kind of pooch he has (breed, if any)? My doggirl could be Turbo’s litter mate, they look so similar.
