Yeah, they were particularly obnoxious this year. As a young man recently said to me: “happy end of political advertising day! Now we can go back to our lovely Sensodyne commercials!”
I don’t understand all this moaning about “gloating”. All I’ve seen so far is the same excitement that was going on four years ago, coupled with relief and, in some cases, gratitude and a couple well earned victory laps for the hard work that went into the campaign.

I agree! Plus I was getting 8-10 robocalls a day. Had to unplug the phone during dinner just to get some peace. Blerg.

I know how you feel, kitteh. And now that it’s over, the gloating is almost as hurtful as the hate and vitriol was before the election.
(I’m not disappointed with the election results. I’m just disappointed in the behavior of so many of the political party supporters. From both sides.)

I was always told as a kid that there are sore winners as well as sore losers, and gloating never looked good on anyone.
