I so love baby tapirs and their “watermelon with legs” look!
Humbugs! They look like Humbugs with legs!
Yes! that’s what they remind me of!
Yes! That’s how they’re described at the San Diego Zoo (where I saw my first one). Love the thought — sort of a camo watermelon.
For a second my mind went right to “I open at the close.”
Such interesting looking little dudes!
“And I will do tapirouettes for Oreos.”
(Leaves a path of Oreos from baby tapir to my front door).
Oh.My.Goodness. The white-tipped ears, the leetle tailio, the pinstripe-polkadot combo suit..and the ohsokissable schnozz…I.can’t.breathe…

That color scheme doesn’t even look real!
His coat looks like those little square with squigly bits inside that you’re suppose to read with your smart phone.
I think this is my new favorite aminal.
It’s definitely the most excellent tapir I’ve ever seen!

They look like elaphants with rhinoplasty. Have better coats definitely.
