Okay, class, get your utensils ready

You need to melt some white chocolate and butter. Just melt a bunch. Because you’re going to make a double batch. Now get a biiig bowl. Dump in some flour. Get a big bag of chocolate chips. Stir it all together. You want it nice and fluffy without being too gooey. Sorry if I don’t know exact measurements. It’s an old recipe I got from my mother. Now spoon 18 dollops of dough. Savor the goodness while still warm.

Droooool, Cutest Paw!

Haha, I see your point, but my first thought was her pretty eyes conveyed “Why yes! I DID make them all myself! Thank you so much, but no, you may NOT have one.” ;D

Peeps! I am sad today. My little guy has been diagnosed with hemangiosarcoma. He has no idea, he’s still being a derp but he’s lost a lot of weight in the last month. :(

    • tracylee says:

oh nooo! is it your greyhound? contact Ohio State University – they may have some information… I know they do a lot of research and even send medication to cancer houndies

Miss Schnozz sends cold nose pokes and tail wags your way

    • Fird Birfle says:

whudever that thing is it sounds like a cancer-y word.

Me sowwy. I’ll help you to pout, ThirdShift. Keep us posted.

    • Mary (the first) says:

What kind of little guy are you talking about here? No matter who, sorry for your sadness. Is the little guy going to recover?

    • Rachael says:

Oh no! I can’t even express how sorry I am. Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you and your little guy. *hugs*

    • ThirdShift says:

Thanks peeps. Yeah, the “litle guy” is the greyhound, not so little; when he first came home he was a 72-lb lump of lurv and hand-licks. He’s down to 65 now, there’s a lump on his left flank which we biosied. Going to see the vet again today to discuss what to do, but it’s probably not good. Big breeds are proned to it, and recurrence even after surgery. It’s not highly survivable. :(

      • Gigi says:

I’m so sorry for you, I know how hard it is when one of your furry babies is verry sick. Hang in there, know that you are my toughts.

          • Madame X says:

Oh, Willoughby, you’re as handsome as your namesake (I assume he’s named for Miss Marianne’s ill-fated love), but an angel instead of a cad…

The girls and I wish you and your momma the best…

          • emmberrann says:

@Third Shift: Willoughby is a very Elegant Dog, with the most beautiful expressive eyes. I am sorry for his illness and pray for his swift return to complete health. I am always moved by the illness of people’s bffs (best furry friends) because I have been and always will be moved by the illness of my own late-and-much-beloved. I send you many hugs, TS, and will be thinking of you.

          • 6rabbits says:

    @ thirdshift
Heart goes out to you. I just lost my number one son, Pup Doggy about 2 weeks ago and I am still a disaster area. He was the best thing that ever happened to me and I miss him terribly. Only thing you can do is just love on the little guy and keep him comfortable. I am sending positive energy to both of you.

  12. kiragirl says:

    OMG, eighteen
    that’s about 800 spots!
    I’ll take a whole batch.

  13. Theresa says:

Oh Skippymom! How much poop do you think they produce?

  14. Violet says:

Wow, that looks like a cookies and cream sundae in a really huge bowl. Get me a ladle, I mean spoon. Okay, I will just have a little lick.

  15. Zola Bunny says:

  16. 6rabbits says:

Whatever you do, do NOT click on the link, Cutest Paw, unless you have the Hello Kitty defibrabob-thingy right beside you! Still have trouble breathing and I only looked for a few seconds! Leethal!

  17. ThirdShift says:

One day when I have to write about him in the past tense, I’ll read these words and baroo my eyes out. Until then, thank you, Peeps of CuteOverload, for the outpouring of good will and affection. The outlook is not good for the little guy, the cancer is aggressive. He has about 3-6 months in which to get loved as much as possible. I’m sorry I don’t have better news.

    • Fird Birfle says:

WE LURVE YOU AND the lil’ guy!! You’ve UNDOUBTEDLY been the best part of his joie de vivre, TS :) He will know he has been well-loved !!!

    • lggbie says:

I am so sorry. Hemangiosarcoma is one of the worst forms of cancer and so common in dogs. It’s aggressive, and hard to treat, and usually when they find it it’s already spread. :( I lost my lovely Shep/Dobie mix to it, and one of my good friends just lost her Wiemeraner to it. Give your boy lots of love, and take care of him and you, and know he is grateful for the wonderful life you’ve had together. (I also lost my lovely pittie to cancer, a different form, about two months ago so I know how hard this is for you and I’m sorry – it does get less sharp and you will start to have more good memories than sad and when that happens, that is a good day.) I really like the sentiment I read when my little girl passed back in June – a young child, whose family dog was passing overheard his parents talking about why dogs live such comparatively short lives to their people. The child said that he knew why: people are put on the earth to learn how to live good lives and to love people. Dogs already know how to do that when they’re born, so they don’t have to stay as long.

    • Janie4 says:

He is truly loved, and is so lucky to have you. I firmly believe that you have given him a more wonderful life than anyone else ever would have. He loves you, as much as you love him. I hope one day I can be as brave as you and he are being together.

It sounds corny, but I believe in the rainbow bridge. I believe that we see them again, and that they are there to help us as much in the afterlife as they gave us love and help here. My heart is with you on this journey.

  18. BB/VA says:

What Janie4 said. Blessings to you and Willoughby.

  19. Lerrinus says:

Mom’s expression is like: “You’re gonna do *what* to my babies!?”
