We have ermine here in Wyoming. They come and hunt the mice in our wood stacks in the winter. Once we saw one thru the sliding glass door. He had a dead mouse and showed off his trophy to us! He danced around, threw it in the air, ran off, ran back, repeat…This went on for about 10 minutes. Too incredibly interactive and cute to describe!!
On the other hand, we have to remember ermine are weasels. They attacked my friend’s rabbits one winter and made quite a mess.
