Cell Phone Etikit

As a matter of courtesy to others in public places, we suggest that you remember to silence your meowbile device. Or, set it to vibrate.

Mind if I take this call, Ant?

Not only purringks, but making teensy air biscuits, shiny, miniscule grey nosicle, fuzzy, vulverable belleh spots, twitchingks, carrot tail, 9 and 3 earses….and….and…gah! Eet ees too moische…. :-)

      • loribelle says:

I was thinking–that kitteh is radioactively cute!

        • The Original Jane says:

LOL! My sister just said the same thing about the Geiger counter before I clicked on the comments! :)

            L’excellence, c’est ici :)

(I had to read your item twice, b4 I saw the word adjustment!!)

          • bob drummond says:

Hey Firdie , How many languages do U speak fluently ?

          • Fird Birfle says:

            Hi bob :)

I would only venture to claim fluency in southruhn ‘Mericun-speak and in Outrageux Francais.

(one tiny bit: although occ, if someone is speaking frawnsche in fast-forward or some particular lingo (corporate-Frawnsche-speak?) ,
I might miss part of his/ her point … in general, I do seem to have made myself understood, pretty decently, to folks who are in the States from France itself, from a Fr-speaking area of Canada, or from the various Fr-speaking segments of both Haiti and/ or of Africa ….with people smiling afterwards…)

I made a bit of an effort to get some German and some Russian under my academic belt…didn’t get nearly as far with those. I would say that I can still stumble my way through kindergarten (See Jane place the Pencil on her Aunt’s Table) sentences, very very slowly, READING, in those two. But I found German grammar structure quite odd & disconcerting (verb doesn’t come until everything else has been fully described and conjugated) …..It does feel s’what beguiling, to be able to make out the word(s) written on Russian signs, where people are walking, or in public demonstrations, etc, in photographs though…..I like the Cyrillic lettering system.

I do still have the basic alphabets/ letters and a few color words and basic words in my lexicon from all three.

Also due to our family spending two tours of duty (I was only around, during the SECOND trip much later) in Japan, I have some familiarity, not with spoken sentences, but with some necessaries in that language; again, the first 10 numerals, the “politeness” social phrases, some words for flowers, etc.

Thank you for indulging me in whatever these 4 paragraphs were …
            Peace and vocabulary to All.

Is it weird that I held my breath for fear of waking this darling little niblet?! And that my only thought was “OMG, I’m dyiiing!”

    • Fird Birfle says:

oh how kind you are carmeira that U di-unt wanna wake him/ her!!!

You get my personal Purple Heart Award !!!

  5. joools in PDX says:

It’s the back feet in prayer mode at :06 that slayed (slew?) me.

  6. ams1001 says:

He looks like he has a zipper down his belly. I guess that’s how they get the motor in..

  7. Theresa says:

This is infinitely preferable to cell phones in public places. I think I could even deal with a train car full of these. :P

    • Shari says:

That would be the coolest commute ever, Theresa! Who needs a “bar car” on the train ride home, when you could relax with tiny, purring, sleepy kittens?

      • Theresa says:

Amtrak should get right on installing them on the eastern corridor. The ride from New York to DC would fly by.

        • Fird Birfle says:

          Where do I buy a ticket, Th ???? :)

        • fanciD says:

And everyone would miss their stops by *several* stations, have to get a train in the other direction, miss it again…
But they wouldn’t really mind so much.

        • bob drummond says:

Just press a button ,down drops a purrring kitty ! What a way end a hard day at work !! WOOO WOOO !

      • Saffron says:

Oh man, instead of a quite care there could be a purring car. That would be the best EVAR.
It would have made the ride in 100 degree heat in the train with NO air conditioning last week somewhat bearable. I hate Amtrak.

The teeny air biscuits have made me DED.

    • E.a. Solinas says:

They wouldn’t have to warn you to turn the li’l kitteh off before a movie!

  8. Theresa says:

PS: This is one of the best candidates I’ve EVER seen for a good “Nibble nibble squeeze squeeze pokey pokey BEEP!”

  9. 260Oakley says:

Reception must be good, ’cause that kitten has lots of bars.

  10. JenDeyan says:

Gobble, gobble, nom, nom… You mean I was suppose to save some for other people. But it was so nomolicious…

  11. SlaveToCat says:

Looks like the next invention from Apple. The I-Snorgle phone.
You can set it to purr instead of vibrate. It makes I-Biscuits when your sweetie calls you. And if you forget to call mom on Mothers day you get the five claw face swipe the next time you touch the I-Snorgle. For added security it comes with a built in Tailio which wraps around a finger or belt loop so you never lose it.

    • 260Oakley says:

It also comes with a personal assistant, Tabbi, who ignores you when you want her attention and won’t leave you alone when you don’t.

  12. Kari Callin says:

    { no….no….gnats…mosquitoes!}.
.*.bats at them with his paw*
    {no…too many…zzzzz…NO!}
“Oh, you’re here keeping me safe! purrrrrrrr….purrrr……..zzzzzzzzz…..purrrrrr

  13. jen says:

    aaand i am SLAYED.

  14. Donna says:

    Stretchy feetsies!

  15. Fird Birfle says:

PLUS I LIKE the spelling of the wird “etikit”, pyrit !

  16. Mudbug says:

Oh SURE ! It’s cute now when he/she’s all small & adorable but wait till he/she’s full grown & takes up your whole lap while you’re on the computer trying to do something important like a business email or trying to comment on a C.O. pic !
AND won’t accept “wait till mommy’s done” for an answer !
Except for the color that’s exactly what my Stoney looked like at that age.

  17. rooanne says:

Ded. That is all. Well also it was so cute I almost cried. Oh and I think kitphone WAS on vibrate!

  18. Mamabear says:

The wee little feet making dough!

Involuntary dough making makes me cuhrazy, be it in a kitten or a big old cat. They’re so relaxed and happy that they’re dreaming of nursey-nursey time. How relaxed is that?!

  19. T.U.M. says:

    TINEE TWITCHEE TABBEE TUMMEE!!

  20. Rut roh. This sent me down a “sleepeh babeh kitteh” YouTube wormhole from whence I cannot escape. HAYULP!!

  21. MinglesMommy says:

That is one deeply contented little kitten.

Isn’t it funny how we all stop what we’re doing to watch a video of a kitten sleeping? Animals are AWESOME. :)

  22. kris says:

this is the best post evah!!!!

  23. babsy says:

    Shiny, shiny toe beans!

    • savvy_geek says:

Is it me, or did those toe beans look like little gummy candies?

    • Anonymoose says:

I was gonna make an “ickle shiny toe bean” comment if nobody else had yet babsy. What a cute behbeh!

    • Kery Frank says:

Toe beans and air biscuits, purring and sleeping, AND looking cute with a nice full tummy…….This one must set a record for acheiving the most cute rules all at once!!!

  24. Legotech says:

No “Cats and Racks” tag? :)

    • Fird Birfle says:

this little kitten morcel is in a hooman being-s HAND.

the c/n/ r category is best when a female of the hooman species….a particular
part of the TORSO of the female hooman ….as well as the kittayn is *cough* visible….

  25. Sasha's Mum says:

Kitteh is in the “RPM” phase of sleep (rapid paw movement, of course).

  26. Janet in NYC says:

    Love the teeny claws!

  27. Teresa says:

AWW :D What a little cutie :D I would just LOVE to gently snorgle that kitty :D

  28. sleekityin says:

Can’t help thinking the kitteh is purring out the opening bars of the “Imperial March” from The Empire Strikes Back”. But it’s such a wee sweetie and the rear paw clasping and crossing is ultra-qte.

  29. sugitomo says:

That belleh is purring for some raspberries.
