When Amanda left for a six-month deployment in the Air Force, Daisy was just a puppy. Now Daisy’s all grown up, and mommy’s home. Grab a tissue and watch.

I so hoped this video would wind up in CO!!! Puppers is so happy to have mommy home!

And we are so happy, and thankful too, that Daisy’s mum is back, safe and sound, from her service to our Nation…

dang, who’s cutting up the onions in here..?

  4. Absolutely beautiful 🙂

  5. phred's mom says:

Fird, quick! Another wad of Hello Kitty, no, make that Hello, Puppers
tissues, stat! We are awash here. Snif!

  6. I love, love, LOVE how it seemed to take Daisy a second to believe it was real before she went berserk with happiness.

  7. I couldn’t wait to get home to watch it so I sneeked out of the office to watch it on my iPod and now I’m bawling my eyes out! What is the boss going to think?

  8. Did not grab a tissue. You’d have us warned. Mistake, my mascara is over now.
Ha ha no kidding, this is a fabulous vids. Adorable!

  9. wannadance says:

first of all, i would like to say: thank you amanda for your dedication and hard work and for loving that DAWG and for loving our country.

and further: that baby was nearly levitating. ti sounded like she was crying and laughing, both with joy. i know i am.

  10. Fird Birfle says:

    How’s this, phred’s mom?? 😉

  11. This is going to be my go-to video anytime I need affirmation that there is goodness and happiness in this world. *snif*

  12. It’s you! It’s you! I can’t believe it’s really you! WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN ALL THIS TIME?!?

  13. Martha in Washington says:

Anyone who still insists that animals don’t have emotions has clearly never seen a homecoming like this!!

    stupid allergies *sniff*

  14. Aww. I used to have a beagle named Daisy. Baroooo!

  15. A beagle is never shy about letting you know how much they love you. My Sam cries and goes nuts like this when we come back from vacation. Daisy couldn’t have hidden her happiness if she had tried. Doesn’t it make you feel great to be so love? I’m glad that you are back home safe with Daisy and your other loved ones.

  16. tommygirl says:

    This dog is awesome =D

  17. oh very cute!

  18. phred's mom says:

you’ve done it again, Fird. Thengew muchly.

  19. Kari Callin says:

  20. “Video currently unavailable.” 😦

  21. I grabbed a tissue, but it wasn’t because I was crying…if you know what I mean.

  22. I was able to play the video just now (check the timestamp on my reply).

If anyone else cannot see the video, please leave us a note in the comments. Thank you.

  23. Kimberly says:

I second the thanks and awesome video comments, etc.

But did anybody notice the GIGANTIC dog bed! I mean that beagle has it made! It’s like the equivalent of a King size mattress for the liitle gal, and looks super padded and comfy!

  24. Madame X says:

  25. Cubbybutt says:

    Wait. No! Really?

  26. dubyah1 says:

Lol, her husband sounds exactly like my brothers when they want to show you something extra special: yeah, yeah, flowers are great, herd, herd, go see the dog!

  27. hksginger says:

This is sooo adorable but the puppers cries realllllly freaked out one of my puppers. he got all agitated and very vocal … hint, keep the sound low if you have doggies nearby

  28. OMG! It’s you! It’s you! I’m never going to let you out of my sight again! OMG! Can you believe it? It’s YOU!!!

  29. She may have needed to get close enough to smell the truth. OMG! It’s MOM!

  33. Mary (the first) says:

How’m I supposed to eat with this lump in my throat? snf
And yeah, anyone who thinks animals don’t have emotions as we do, is simply crazy.

  34. Hanglyman says:

Videos of soldiers coming home to their dogs are probably my favorite cute genre, right after Maru. 🙂

That is one excited doggy. I wonder if she’s still going? I can imagine her whining and jumping happily for months on end.

  35. Grab some Kleenex? Heck, grab the whole box! So sweet!

  36. wannadance says:

animals have languages, i just know it. remember those two cats ‘talkin’. i know a bunch of peoiple who said thier cats came running, including my jasmine, cat treat ‘ho. feed her tgreats and she is yours forever, no matter who you are..that jasmine: so far in about in a few short months, she has frozen over a central a/c, covered and crashed my machine and blogged up a brand new vacuum cleaner. FUR, that’s how, that perky siberian fur..she is probably gloating to her friends who i cannot see..

  37. Welcome Home Amanda!!! Daisy kind of missed you,

  38. Awwwwwww, this is really touching!
Hey! why got sand in my eyes?

  39. it was out getting its awesome reloaded. all better now.

  40. completely understand. that’s how i get when my soldierette comes home, too. luckily, she’s done with that for good.

  41. laurielou2 says:

Had to stop in the middle….overcome with tears.

  42. kodalai says:

I think she was asleep when Amanda came in — it took her a moment to wake up. 😀

  43. kodalai says:

I like how the doggie was so excited she wriggled away, ran a few steps in a circle and then came back! Too much happy to be contained!

  44. KIttyMarthaPoo says:

I cannot pull up the video. It’s a blank white area.

  45. Happy Hound Sounds!

  46. Dang it, those onions are making my eyes water too…..

Dogs are great, this is so heart melting! 🙂

  50. This is the cutest, sweetest, most wonderful thing evers! Love, love, love.

  51. Welcome home, Staff Sergeant Amanda! When my husband returned from his deployment our pups literally tackled him and covered him with kisses. It was so awesome 🙂 Nothing’s better than welcoming your airman home.

  52. Welcome home, Staff Sergeant Amanda! When my husband returned from his deployment our pups literally tackled him and covered him with kisses. It was so awesome 🙂 Nothing’s better than welcoming your airman home.

  53. That sounds exactly what that dog is saying 😀

  54. Now that would’ve been a great video too.

  55. warrior rabbit says:

I don’t think you want to know what I first thought you meant.

  56. beach2peak says:

Way too short. I could watch this for hours.

  57. Do I have to be the stick in the mud to ruin this moment with the fact that you should never leave a choke chain on a dog when you aren’t walking him? Just pointing it out. Besides that, lovely video.

  58. Actually, you should never put a choke chain on a dog, period – whether they’re on a walk or not. Choke chains kill.
