Do We Run This on Caturday or Bunday?

Peeps! We’ve got a dilemma on our hands! As you can see, we have here a video of a cute kitten wrassling with an equally cute bunny. So should this run on Caturday or Bunday? <shatner>Wedon’tknowwe… just… don’t… know!</shatner>

Gee thanks, Cheryl E. Now my head hurts from thinking.

Wouldn’t this be suitable for Whensday?

  2. Andi from NC says:

  4. skippymom says:

    Both. Duh.

  5. Both, just link the Simon’s Cat bunny episode with it. Life imitates art!

  6. Janet in NYC says:

Yes, this must run on both days!

  7. Nano's mom says:

I believe this should run Caturday AND Bunday. And in between. In fact this should be on a continuous loop. Then I could just sit in front of my monitor and melt into goo.

  8. Depends who wins.

  9. gotta admit, relatively few bud vids, in comparison to the cats that have overrun the www.
(The cat was riding the bun 32-34)

  10. Sounds good to me!

  11. Wow. Bunny kicked some kitty butt–I have to go with Bunday.

  12. Fird Birfle says:

I was gonna say it was nice.

    Shatner.

  14. fleurdamour says:

    Or Twosday!

  15. Fird Birfle says:

Also: “Run awaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay…… It’s the Killer Rabbit of Caernabogg

[As I'm presently too anti-geek and layzee, to bother doing the Research, I"m SURE that i've misspelled the Rabbit's territorial placename....sorry, peeps]

  16. fleurdamour says:

They’re pretty well matched, aren’t they? The kitteh’s got claws but the bunneh’s got the moves with his back feet.

  17. Fird Birfle says:

    Also also:

“Lets get rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrready to rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrUMBLE !!!!!”

  18. victoreia says:

Ya beat me to it, skippymom!

  19. Mary (the first) says:

I’ve just realized, I don’t need a guard dog. I need a guard bunny!! That bunbun is fierce!!

  20. Fird Birfle says:

    Nicely done :)

  21. skippymom says:

    High five!

  22. MORTAL KOMBAT! Doodoodoo…

Srsly, just post it on both days. Kitteh and bunneh are equal stars

  23. skippymom says:

Hey, you guys, I recently saw a rabbit running down the side of the street. Not hopping, but running like a cat or a dog. Is this even possible?

  24. That’s OK Fird i’ve got the Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch

  25. ARRRG!! Mutant rabbits!!! Run for the hills!!

  26. sleekityin says:

The money’s got to be on the bunneh in that tussle. (But I reckon the kitteh wins on cuteness points.)

  27. Bun is a relentless fighting machine. I like how he stuff the kitty under the couch at the end. “Now stays there, ya kid, if ya knows whats good for ya!”.

Also, watching the guy in the lounger with his socks on makes me wonder if TV in Russia is so bad, they stage bun/kitten fights instead of turning on the tube.

  28. My kids & the wild bun in my backyard said … “and the answer is ……BOTH !”

  29. I was just about to mention the bucking bunco the kitteh was riding. What a riot!

Also, both Caturday AND Bunday are appropriate. Duh.

  30. skippymom says:

But really, can somebody who knows about rabbits tell me whether it’s normal for them to run?

  31. skippymom says:

    Triple duh.

  32. bookmonstercats says:

William Shatner hosted a UK satirical comedy panel show recently. He was brilliant, sending himself up constantly and was immensely popular with the audience. Clip included

  33. bookmonstercats says:

Looking at the title of the clip, I wondered if it’s the best Russian version of Kramer v Kramer

Not very witty, but willing to try

  34. Fird Birfle says:

    “One, two, ….” ;)

  35. Blue Footed Booby says:

    Immoral Wombat

  36. wuyizidi says:

Kitteh is also lazy, half of the time he’s laying on his back, like “no, you come at me bro.”

  37. Fird Birfle says:

skippy, here is one statement but I don’t know much about the reliability of this webpage. I attempted to look on a few questions websites but you have to pay off their grandmother to log in on those …. so this is the only item which came up *relatively efficiently/ easily* . Hope they’re correct. Smooches, Leslie

Running/fast hopping is a sign of playfulness and happiness. Rabbits hop and run fast when they have a large area in which to play.

If your rabbit is running turbo-speed away from something, make sure he/she is not running away in fright.

  38. baileysgrandmom says:

    Ride ‘em, Catboy!

  39. Create a new day: Caturbunday

  40. Oh Lawdy! I was LOLing at the 20 second mark and almost snorted at the 32ish mark when Kitteh went for a bucking-bunneh ride!

  41. fleurdamour says:

Or a holiday – we have Boxing Day, make it Wrestling Day.

  42. I was gonna say…

Should you post this on Bunday or Caturday?

    Yes, you emphatically should!

  43. 6rabbits says:

The bucking bronco bit was where I started LOL instead of going oooh and squee! They are having an amazingly good time!

  44. fleurdamour says:

It’s an Aes-hop’s Fable – The Tortoiseshell and the Hare

  45. skippymom says:

Thanks. The guy I saw didn’t look playful. He looked as though he was trying to get somewhere faster than hopping would take him. There was no dog chasing him or anything. Maybe he was on his way to visit his grandmother and was very eager to get to her house.

  46. 6rabbits says:

Rabbits seriously wanting to get somewhere
    RUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUN with all feet
off the ground at one point (stop-motion-photo link below).

And…a relevant encore presentaysh from CO itself!

  47. 6rabbits says:

    *clapping* :-)

  48. Or Dedsday… ded from the qte!

  49. I had to go back and watch it again to catch the bucking bronco bit.. :)

Also, I like the giggling in the background by the people.

  50. skippymom says:

Thank you! This guy was definitely “seriously wanting to get somewhere.”

  51. skippymom says:

    YES!

  52. MandaPanda says:

    “Five!”…”Three, sir!”…”Oh yes, three!”

  53. PandaManda says:

THEY ARE! Everyone thinks bunnehs are all qte and shy and sweet, to which I say “HA!” My sister has one and I swear, that thing is crazy fearless! He regularly runs off all three of our mom’s dogs (one of which is a German Shepherd) and my 16 pound kitty (a Scottish wildcat who is built more like a bulldog than a cat). Insane!

  54. Or Fursday.

  55. javabunny says:

    and the bunny wins!!!!!!!

  56. I actually saw this episode on tv when travelling in UK last month (from Australia) and it was a weird programme – five comedians, not a lot of laughs – but he saved the show!

  57. For some reason, I have the “Time Amok” music running thru my head now…y’know, from Tue Kirk/Spock fight scene.

  58. THE, dangit. Spooty autocorrect thingy.

  59. The bun runs the kitten over like a bulldozer. lol.

  60. Man talk about a great wrestling match

  61. Our rabbit was always trying to have his wicked way with the cat.

  62. I may be misusing some terms here, but I think you’re asking if a rabbit ever runs with a gait like a trotting dog — involving diagonally opposite front and hind legs working together — rather than the rolling front-and-back “hopping” that is the rabbit’s signature way of moving. I doubt that they do if they’re really aiming for speed. For the fast get-away often needed by this prey animal, they use the front-legs-together/hind-legs-together gallop-like gait pictured in the links. Those powerful hind legs do send them flying through the air before they land on their front feet.

However, we have seen our pet rabbits WALK for short distances — that is, walking like a cat, with diagonally opposite front and hind legs working together. It’s hilarious to see, and we always say, “Hey, caught ya walking!” And they always seem a little surprised at themselves, like, “Oops, I didn’t mean to do that!” I’d be very surprised if you saw a rabbit fast-walking (or trotting) down the street, but there could be some nut rabbit out there who enjoys a different way to move. But to do it to get away from trouble, nope.

  63. This video needs a Star Wars Sith Lord vs. Jedi audio track. Anyone?

  64. you should run this on Wee’unsday.

  65. InterspeciesSnorglingDay! :D

  66. bookmonstercats says:

It’s based on the previous week’s UK politics in the main, Jean, so I can understand how it didn’t hit your Aussie travelling funny bone. There are two regular panellists, one on each team. The one on the left is Ian Hislop and he’s the owner and editor of the satirical, government-baiting mag “Private Eye”, not a comic. The one on the right is Paul Merton, whose humour tends toward the late Spike Milligan’s. The other two panellists vary from week to week; usually one comic and somebody in the political news, not necessarily a comic. The chair varies. Shatner was great, though, wasn’t he?

  67. Fird Birfle says:

    :)

  68. Hyacinth says:

    just sayin’…

  69. Often bunnies are scared during interference with other animals in videos. But these two are really playing and having fun. Lovely!
