Adorable! I must admit I had a moment of “Just pick the little guy and carry him down the stairs already!,” but it’s probably good to let Hamlet figure out how to navigate the stairs on his own. He obviously can, even if he is a wee bit scared.
Oh my goodness – the surprisingly deep grunting, the zigzag descent of the stairs, and the splat landing—this is one of my very favs!!!! And his belleh!!
I’m trying to figure out how he was simultaneously grunting and oink/squealing–shall we call it squoinking? (And, yes, I laughed out loud when he nose-dived into the oatmeal. I like oatmeal my own self, but dislike the feel of it on my trotters…)
I think they are using his favorite treat as a deliberate encouragement to learn to navigate the stairs. Once he has gained confidence in the stairs he can move about the house more freely!
