Enormous Manatee action by CMGW Photography. Via BoingBoing. Spotted by eagle-eyed Ant.
Jabba the Hut’s brother?
Aww, this reminds me of the late, lamented NY Aquarium walrus, Ayveq, who became notorious for certain . . . behaviors. But he was also a friendly, curious walrus, who used to swim up to the glass to look back at the little kids who were looking at him.
“halp” from whom, the blorp or the kidlet?!
heehee Lurves me some Oh-the-huge-manatees!
Looks like he’s going to pop.
The much better version of ET: The Aqua-Terrestrial
Let’s hope he does not eat an “after dinner mint” (Monty Python reference)
Oh, no! Eet’s only waffer theen.
Are we sure that’s not really a Vogon & he’s not really getting ready to read some poetry?!?! Got your towel?
Not Vogon poetry, it’s the third worst poetry in the Universe!!!
I was under the impression that Vogon poetry was the worst poetry in the Universe !!!!
I’m afraid to ask what’s worse than Vogon poetry. And the thought of Vogon poetry being the universe’s third worst….
It was Paul and Nancy Millstone Jennings of Sussex. Luckily, it was destroyed when the earth was!
That’s a big relief ! —- What am I saying ????
Come give your Great Aunt Millie a keeeeeess!
The manatee ees smilingk, I theenk.
Oh, the huge manatee!!!
WINS, for reference to the “Oh the humanity” bit !!!
Manatees love to squash their noses against glass:
Maybe they are giving keeses??
I think he did that just to make the kids laugh. The ‘Jaws’ theme was playing in my head while watching this….
The cutest version of Jabba the Hut ever!
TOO TRUE!! Didn’t occur to me ’till I read your comment! Tooooo true! It’s Jabba under water!
THE BLORP HAS REACHED CRITICAL LEVELS!
That little girl looks like Boo from “Monsters, Inc.” finding a new friend through her closet door…
LOL She does! Oh too funny!…hmmm..will have to dig that out of the CD drawer.
What?!? No “blorp” tag? But … but … the manatee! It is blorptastic! In fact, it may be the most blorptastic thing I have ever seen!
Oooh, my first visit to the mod lounge. So embarrassing … I didn’t bring anything :-[
Yeah, where’s the “blorp” tag?!?!?!?!?
This child is just in awe of the blorp!
Beautiful. The inocence of both, and the possible power of both human and animal. And yet – the peace. Too beautiful! Thanks for sharing this!
“…and then the mermaids had a tea party but they ate too many seacakes and that’s how they became manatees.”
Wow. That’s a whole heaping helping of blorptitude.
Maybe a good nickname for this (guy ?) would be Mr. Blubber !!
BOY ! Is this guy (?) hummongous . Needs to go on a diet and fast !
“Get in ma belleh!”
Definitely need TEETH-HANCE on this one
[epic music] Blorp is coming!
