Once upon a time, there was a Husky puppy named Amelia.

There was also a Husky puppy named Molly.

Neither of them were sad, exactly, but, neither felt complete.
The Cute Overload Fairy heard their sighs and acknowledged their incompleteness. So, she went right to work and brought the two together.

Molly and Amelia were very happy to find each other and watched the world go by with the best friend they ever had.

Thank you, Kiera J., for a happy ending.

Awwwwwww! So Sweet! Glad they have a happy ending together!
I love a happy ending, especially one that involves a dog companion. And I really need it and the pictures of sweet puppies these days. Just had to let my beloved dog, Wile E. Coyote, go to doggy heaven last week and am missing him terribly.

(((((((((((((((((((Sprock))))))))))))))))))
I’m sorry to hear about your sadness; I have been there, myself. Have you read the book The Art of Racing in the Rain? (Don’t read it now; it’s too sad!) Look for your sweet pup again during your life! You never know where he may show up – or who he may show up as! I am still looking for my FurLove, Foley to pop back into my life, give me a secret wink and say hello!
Yes! Great book, and ends with a lovely premise.
I have read it, but had forgotten all about it. Am glad you reminded me of it. I’ll know I’ve met him again the next time I feel soulful brown eyes staring intently at me as I eat dinner.
Thanks, all, for your kind words. It’s nice to be among animal lovers who can understand the loss.
Signed,
Certain that CuteOverload commenters are the best medicine in the world, aside from a puppy dog kiss
Oh, Sprock… hugs and comforts and healing thoughts!
Oh, and…. eyebrow dots!!!
Yes, those two are the Queens of Eyebrow Dots!!
[waving picketing sign] Eyebrow Dots! Eyebrow Dots! We want Eyebrow Dots!
Eyebrow Dot Contingent, are you with me??
YES.
oh I do hope that Meg will someday acquiesce to our request!
*prepares city hall speech*
I’m glad to see that the contingency is moving forward and strong
Although I gotta admit I am lost to those eyes!

*cues Yakkety Sax b’ground music*
*waving pompoms*

Easily Diverted.
How most beautiful!!!
Little peenk tongue sliver!!!
Today, I wish for everyone to have a buddy like these pups have. (waves hand spreading fairy dust all over the comments page.)
I wish my neighbors, whose poor little dog barks nonstop when they’re not there, would read this and get a clue… “Get a Clue: Get Two!”
Love love love these little babies!
are they the poster children for the (hopefully) pending (currently in committee?) Eyebrow Dot Rule legislation or WHAT?!
also, y’all will appreciate this: my bartender has Maru on his business cards. yes, you read that right…
“my” bartender, tracy?? You have your own personal bartender, do you? I know you like the G&Ts, but really, now.
well I have a bar that a friend and I go to regularly, and we’re 99.9% of the time served by the same guy. and yep, it’s always G&Ts… so, yeah… :/
THIS is why I liked you Tracylee! An infinite love of G & T’s
but you’re missing the important parts…
eyebrow dots and maru.
see above, for my comment on the Eyebrow Dot Contingent.
I have a master’s degree in Missing The Important Parts, tracylee.
*snicker* where’d you get your MMTIP, skippymom?
At the World’s Greatest University.
lol. I think you all are right about them being the poster children. *rushes to take the pics and put them on posters…* I shall be distributing them shortly
YOUR B’tender has MARU on his bidness cards?????
*immediately packs suitcase and calls Greyhound to book a ticket,
to move to tracylee’s town (even though I don’t partake much of the ol’ alkyholl)….*
Fird, I’ll bet tracylee’s PERSONAL bartender would be more than happy to mix a Shirley Temple for you, with a little umbrella and everything.
*YAY*
Firdie, everyone loves a Designated Driver!
dang, I think I’m being made fun of! guess I shoulda worded it better… *grumble*
*plants loving smooches on tracylee, trying to cheer her up, feeling guilty because I started the making fun of*
Here, tracy, want to hold Skippy for a couple of minutes? Oh, wait, you’re not a cat person….
OK, disclosure: I’m jealous because I don’t have my own bartender.
*hangs head*
hehe <3 'salright, skmom… I have to go out for G&Ts so often because Miss Freeloader Schnozz won't make 'em for me
I bet these two will grow up to be a big sweet handful, since I remember someone saying last week that huskies are kind of high maintenance.. in a good way, of course…
If they’re anything like my brother’s huskies they’ll be big lap dogs. He’s had several over the years (bred then for awhile, so puppies!!!!) and they are just big suckies, sweet, sweet suckies. One liked to drape himself over your shoulders when you sat on the couch.
Huskies . . . ah, huskies. On one hot summer day at the farmer’s market, I was wearing a skirt . . . and was wrenched out of my reverie by a cold husky snout up my skirt.
8O8O8O
Yup! When we get home every afternoon, our dogs let us know on no uncertain terms that it is time for walkies. They cannot understand the human concept of changing clothes, of course, so they typically follow us back into the bedroom, all excited with the “wanna go” bug. I got one of those cold snouts while standing in the closet looking for something to change into.
Just saying hello . .. OH!
*That’ll* wake anybody up outta their reverie!
indeed!
love theresa’s cold snout story! i can almost feel it
Having experienced something similar myself, so can I!
Those are more than mere eyebrow dots. Those are eyebrow blobs.
Hahaha…I read that as “Cute OverLoRd Fairy”….I call that job.
Absolutely beautiful puppies!
Amelia seems to be part raccoon, particularly in the pic w/ Molly and the toys, but ALL qte!
I was thinking that if you blur your eyes, they look kind of like kitties. But now I think maybe I’m high.
The default setting on my eyeballs is puppehs, not kittehs. And I’ll have some of whatever you’re having.
hands loribelle a gin and tonic
Mmm. Just the right amount of lime.
I take lemon, but I knew you’d want lime.
Song lyrics “ya put tha lime in the coconut & drink it all up ….”
Harry Nillsson (excuse the misspelled last name there)
Other Nifty Nillson Facts; see below.
Upon hearing Nilsson sing, Little Richard reportedly remarked: “My!
You sing good…………… for a white boy!”
The Beatles themselves quickly became Nilsson fans.
In 1968, Aerial Ballet, was released; an album which included Nilsson’s rendition of Fred Neil’s song “Everybody’s Talkin’”. A minor US hit at the time of release (and a top 40 hit in Canada), the song … became extremely popular a year later when it was featured in the film Midnight Cowboy. The song would earn Nilsson his first Grammy Award.
The song …also became Nilsson’s first US top 10 hit, reaching #6, and his first Canadian #1.
The album Aerial Ballet also contained Nilsson’s version of his own composition, “One”, which was later taken to the top 5 of the US charts by Three Dog Night .
Nilsson was also commissioned at this time to write and perform the theme song for the ABC television series The Courtship of Eddie’s Father.
The result, “Best Friend”, was very popular, but Nilsson never released the song on record; the original version of the song (entitled “Girlfriend”) was recorded
while [recording the album] Aerial Ballet but it was not included on that LP.
It eventually appeared on the 1995 Personal Best anthology
AND I LOVE THE ALBUM THE POINT by him released 1971
*the more you know*
Well, in that last pic, as I was scrolling down and saw just the earsies, my brain said “KITTIES!!!!!1!!”
Can I get a raspberry mojito, please?
Eyebrow Blotches!!!
(similar to Eyebrow Dots)
(and I started reading the comments up from the bottom, so I di-unt see warrior rabbit’s item until after I had posted mine …)
YAY for Molly & Amelia — BFF’s in Cuteness !!
(From “White Christmas”, as sung by the PUPPINI Sisters)
Sisters, sisters
There were never such devoted sisters,
Never had to have a chaperone, No sir,
I’m there to keep my eye on her
Ah…..an earworm my sister and I sing all the time…..(when we’re in the same place, anyway)
I know from experience that puppeh butts make a soft, and sometimes…aromatic, pillow.
