Me toooo!!!
Oh his little “meeps!” Such a sweetie.
OK, so I DIDN’T imagine them! “Meep” is exactly what I heard, too!
meeping and shaking–I’m a mess.
exactly….
I had no idea that deer make noise!
meep! meep!
A new term is born: spot-tocks.
I want to get a little step-ladder for this babe… He/she looks too short to reach the meelk bar.
I had the same though!
I bet the mom will lie down. Or maybe she will manage to stand on a lower rock.
I *like* it!
Bless his tiny shivering spotted tock’!
And he did look a little short to reach teats, wonder if there are any other vids.
The meeps slay me. And all that leg. Like a deer version of an AT-AT.
BAMBI MEEPS!!!! I die.
I die! To fawn, to sleep, perchance to meep
‘Midst iamBambic pentametric sheep.
Certainly iamBambic, but can’t be pentametric, ’cause it only has four feet.
Le sigh!
A metric foot I amputate
To beat Will Shakespeare, 10 to 8
Yet still maintain internal rhyme
And keep Ms Baxter’s prompting line:
(IamBambic tetrametreeq):
“I die! To sleep, perchance to meep!”
Wheres there’s a Will, there’s a way. *golf clap*
that is absolute gold. wow.
Tick Tick Tock Little April Showers
I love that song!
Oh, sorry, ignore the woman saying silly things like that.
Bambi!
Uh, I’ll just go get my meds, now……
I thought it was drip drip drop little april showers..
Dear meep-able baby deer.
At first I was like: “Where’s the mama? OMG! Where is the mama?” Then I could not think anymore because by brain exploded into a zillion sparkly bits.
I too was glad to see the mama later in the vid!
Mama was so graceful and gentle. Such beauty in one video. Sigh. I think I watched this a hundred times.
Me three! Feel much better knowing mama is there too.
He meeps like Beaker.
I love Beaker…. I love the little meeps…. such a cutie… love the music too. anyone know what it is?
That’s very rocky ground for someone just learning to walk. Perhaps I should keep him in my very flat and green back yard for a while. You know, just for his own safety.
I was thinking the same thing–learning to walk is hard enough without such an uneven surface! Perhaps we could share the little one…
oh good lord it meows! i hope he was able to get some dinner!
So, um, exactly where do deer and adorable fawns exist on a rocky seashore? Are these Hawaiian deer? Are there such things? I am perplexed and pensive…
Hawaii is ONE of several locales featured,
at the beginning of S. F.’s webpage; however there isn’t any quick, evident reference point listed for “cute little bebbeh deer” on his webpage …..
If they are Hawaiian, they’ve been hiding from me!!!!
(OTOH, what’s a beach?)
According to tales from the natives,
beaches are though to contain sand and dented beer cans …..
Signed,
(Somewhat) Cynical Floridian/ Hippie
*PS: actualleh, there *DO REMAIN*
a few places which make a valiant attempt to prevent cars and
disreputable trashiness on the actual beach/ water’s edge.
Many of them are associated with Nature Preserves.
Exhibit A: CALDADESI Island, off SW Fla

http://www.floridastateparks.org/CaladesiIsland/
AFAIK, none of the beaches in Hawaii allow vehicles on the beaches. Sadly, empty cans, cigarette butts and other trash are highly invasive species…..
I too was perplexed by the strange juxtaposition of newborn fawn and rocky shore!
I AM DED FROM TE QTE!!!!! BUuhhhh *head xplodes*
What a nice way to perk up a Monday evening
Teensy and wobbly and fragile and…Meep!
Adding to the head ‘splosions from the overloads of the cuteness! And who knew baby deer meeped?? Not I. But mama deer, why o why did you have your bebeh on the rocks, instead of the pretty green grassy meadows, or at least the soft and sandy sand?
I was thinking the same thing. All those pointy rocks!
– momentarily attempted a bit of research — ‘t’ain’t a simple one-click question on / in/ around Steve Fagan’s webpage, to locate the Deer Data. His homepage shows numerous adventuresome, adrenaline-pumpin’ locales: Hawaii, Brazil, etc etc ….
That noted ….
LOOKIT THA FUZZY EARS AND THA KNOBBY KNEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEz of this adorable bit of fawn floof!!!!!
**bounces off,
in some surreal, wackadoodle mode of locomotion, due to xtreme uber-cuteness of the little fawnie-pooo**
*gets the padded room ready for Fird*
For all those wondering where the deer is from, it’s Departure Bay which is at Nanaimo British Columbia on Vancouver Island only a few hours from me
Well get right out there, and tell that mama deer to be careful!
I’m getting right on that
Take a coat. It looks chilly. (hands sue a sandwich and a thermos of tea from the mod lounge)
thanks, I’m huge tea drinker.
can we come visit?
breaks out the air mattress, come on over!
[pulls claws in and starts packing]
I’ve been there many a time … but never encountered anything even remotely cute. Crabs and seagulls, that’s about it. *pouts*
IMO, crabs (the sea kind, not the *ugh* Other kind) can be moderately cute …
Noice.
yep. Gots to be blacktail from the look of the doe.
*Puts on coat, grabs blanket, heads up to Vancouver Island, wraps cold, wettish fawn in blankie, carries anenerable bebeh over nasty sharp rocks to safety.*
All I ever find on the beach is shell pieces! (pouts)
Well, it’s 9.22am and I’ve just been rendered useless for the rest of the day. Thanks a lot, Cute Overload!
Those meeps are too much! I never knew…
Only a few hours old and already navigating those rocky shores with far more grace than me. I’d be falling over and scratching myself on those rocks every couple of steps.
The earses! THE EARSES! I want to nom them!
Adorable, but am I the only one wondering what a deer is doing on a beach? lol
Are you freaking kidding me?!?! I’m ded. Ded, I tell ya!
*Hauls out the Hello Kitty Defibrathingamajigg from the hall closet and
makes numerous telephone calls requesting additional Emergency Cuteness medical staff for tonight*
This is the most precious video!! Phyllis
Really???! How am I supposed work after those sweet little “eeps”? Suh-Woon!
– not too certain, whether our ability to maintain work production,
was Meg’s top priority, when she posted the dear deer ????
Waaaaaay too cute!!!
So relaxing….. zzzzzzz…. lowered blood pressure….zzzzzzzz…… I had to watch twice in a row. One of the most precious things I have ever seen.
My day was very harsh until now… but now I’m glad I could get through it to see this leetle bebeh meeping ald learning how to use that huge leggy-things momma fawn gave to him!
teh *meeps* r even ky00ter den teh tocks! *meep* … *meep* =^..^=
I really need to watch this on a computer with sound (darn you, workplace, for not having speakers in my computer!) I want to hear these meeps everyone is talking about!
Mod lounge? What did I say? *shrugs and lounges on the couch* I’m feeling exotic… someone peel me grape?
come back soon!
Was/is he an orphan?
I am very fawnd of this little guy!! Great comments, everybody!!
