All Is Right In My World

Rounded belly, pleasantly full.
Sun beam gently warming furry skin.
There is nothing but fulfillment here.

    kees kees snorgle smooch

  3. ashagato says:

    the belleh is the cutest!

    • No no! It’s the pink paw pads. I want to chomp chomp gently on everyone of them. I bet they’re really warm too!

BTW I love the smell of my Birman cat’s feet. They always smell so warm and earthy. Is that weird?

    Tough life there, Ms. McPuppersons

  5. Rachael says:

Smooth pink chubbular belleh! Who could ask for more?

  6. Theresa says:

    Giant head!

  7. Nikki says:

Your Honor, I would like to submit into evidence Rule of Cuteness #40 wherein “sleeping in a sunbeam is cute.” And, if it please the court, I argue that engaging in Rule of Cuteness #40 while simultaneously brandishing pink toebeans and a ridiculously adorable chubby tummy is, without question, assault with deadly weapons… This is an egregious and premeditated attempt to cause squees, brain explosions, spontaneous ovulation, and extreme desire to flirbert that belly.

    • ceejoe says:

You used the real spelling of ded!

      • Nikki says:

Yep, that’s me. Livin’ on the edge…that’s just how I roll. Take THAT Mod Censors!

      • victoreia says:

You mean “dedly”. And I wonder if adding the “-ly” tricks the Mods……

    • Fird Birfle says:

If it also Please the Court, I would like the opportunity to particularly
commend Nikki on the simultaneous use of the verbs “engaging” and “brandishing”.

      Well-done, you !!!

    • Angel says:

Nikki has found the Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD)! They weren’t hiding in Iraq after all…..they were right in plain sight, in that sunbeam. Who knew??

  8. skippymom says:

Can I please be this puppeh? I am sooooooooo tired of being me.

    • Gigi says:

      I understand completely skippymom.

      • skippymom says:

Can you imagine how wonderful it would be to be able to sleep as much as you want, and have your awake time taken up with playing and eating? What a lifestyle. Being human is just such a drag.

        • ceejoe says:

Ok, so I believe in reincarnation, and so here’s my theory: maybe if we do a really good job being a human this time around, we can come back as a spoiled puppeh or kitteh…

          • skippymom says:

I once heard someone say he would like to come back to life as his wife’s dog. I thought that was such a sweet and touching way of expressing his complete devotion to her.
Years later it occurred to me that he was actually saying his wife treated the dog better than she treated him.

  9. Nikki says:

Doo dee doo, don’t mind me I’m rearranging the furniture here in the Mod Lounge–pushing my chaise into a sunbeam to see if I can attract puppies…

    • ceejoe says:

did you say “p*ppy”? someone earlier said that is a banned word… can’t imagine why… but who are we to judge the mighty Mod God.. :)

      • Nikki says:

I can’t figure out what would have caused it, but maybe the mighty Mod God was just looking for a little company in the Mod Lounge…

    • Robin Kiesel says:

  11. khaulamazhar says:

Adorable and I feel kind of envious, it would be nice to be able to take a break from the world and find a nice sunny corner…

  13. Theresa says:

    Puppy! Puppy! Puppypuppypuppypuppy!

  14. Theresa says:

    Whoa, I tripped the ModAlarm!

    • Nikki says:

Oooh, Hi Theresa! Pull up a chaise longue–I’m over her in this sunbeam and there’s plenty of room for you over here…

      • skippymom says:

        PUPPY!

      • Theresa says:

Whoa, correct spelling of chaise longue! Classy company in detention today!

        • skippymom says:

Theresa, I have actually heard Richard Sher on Says You pronounce it “chaise lounge”. Wicked facepalm.

          • Sprock says:

Does it make it classier if the CO moderation place is referred to as the Moderation Longue?

        • Nikki says:

Would you care for a tea sandwich or a scone?

        • ceejoe says:

Whoa, I just learned something! I’m a pretty detailed speller/grammer nerd, and I never knew that!

        • Emmylee says:

*gets ready to aim spitballs at the Mod folks…when she hears Theresa say “classy company”*

Whaa??!!….well I guess if there’s a sandwich to be had, I’d take one with cucumbers and watercress ;)

          • Emmylee says:

HAHAHAHAH….in trying to wreak havoc on the mod lounge…I get sent there. *sighs and shakes head*

Oh…there’s my chair with my name on it.

          • Sharpy says:

go out, enjoy your freedom! we will always have a cucumber sandwich here for you!

          • Nikki says:

Sharpy I’m tewtelly jealous that you get to write the name of that vegetable without getting sent to the Mod Lounge! The filter makes it ever so difficult to post the Mod Lounge daily menus…

        • phred's mom says:

Kudos, Nikki! I had given up on anyone actually getting “chaise longue”
right. However, I remember my philology teacher in high school reminding
us that English is a living language and modifies words from other tongues
constantly. I call it “The Elephant and Castle” effect. Londoners out there
will get this reference. I hope.

  15. Commence Sunbeam Snooze now!

  16. Decca says:

When I first started volunteering at our local shelter a few years ago, I was surprised to discover how many people stopped by to look at the animals because they needed a break or wanted to de-stress. In retrospect I’m surprised it didn’t occur to me.

  17. victoreia says:

Sunbeams are the bestest napping spots!

    • Fird Birfle says:

Hence the reason (or le raison, if you’ll allow me to get all “foofy” and Frawnsche
about it) that one of my top priority determining factors in selecting any new living place, has *ALWAYS* been a combination of:

*Quantity and size of window wall space /vs. regular wall space
      and
*locations of windows vs. sunrise/ sunset locations.

      • lds7yrs says:

Me, too! If I have a choice, that is.

My dream house has east facing windows in my bedroom; it may not be for everybody, but hey, this is MY dream!
