All Is Right In My World

Rounded belly, pleasantly full.
Sun beam gently warming furry skin.
There is nothing but fulfillment here.

  2. spring sunshine falls warm
    upon fat leetle belleh
    kees kees snorgle smooch

  3. ashagato says:

    the belleh is the cutest!

  4. Tough life there, Ms. McPuppersons

  5. Rachael says:

Smooth pink chubbular belleh! Who could ask for more?

  6. Theresa says:

    Giant head!

  7. Your Honor, I would like to submit into evidence Rule of Cuteness #40 wherein “sleeping in a sunbeam is cute.” And, if it please the court, I argue that engaging in Rule of Cuteness #40 while simultaneously brandishing pink toebeans and a ridiculously adorable chubby tummy is, without question, assault with deadly weapons… This is an egregious and premeditated attempt to cause squees, brain explosions, spontaneous ovulation, and extreme desire to flirbert that belly.

  8. skippymom says:

Can I please be this puppeh? I am sooooooooo tired of being me.

  9. Doo dee doo, don’t mind me I’m rearranging the furniture here in the Mod Lounge–pushing my chaise into a sunbeam to see if I can attract puppies…

  10. Rarely this inert,
    Need to recharge batteries
    Dreaming of mayhem.

  11. Adorable and I feel kind of envious, it would be nice to be able to take a break from the world and find a nice sunny corner…

  12. I understand completely skippymom.

  13. hmstracylee says:

    *teeptoe*
    (quiet) boooop

  14. did you say “p*ppy”? someone earlier said that is a banned word… can’t imagine why… but who are we to judge the mighty Mod God.. :)

  15. Robin Kiesel says:

Let me know if it works

  16. skippymom says:

Can you imagine how wonderful it would be to be able to sleep as much as you want, and have your awake time taken up with playing and eating? What a lifestyle. Being human is just such a drag.

  17. I can’t figure out what would have caused it, but maybe the mighty Mod God was just looking for a little company in the Mod Lounge…

  18. Puppy! Puppy! Puppypuppypuppypuppy!

  19. Whoa, I tripped the ModAlarm!

  20. Commence Sunbeam Snooze now!

  21. Oooh, Hi Theresa! Pull up a chaise longue–I’m over her in this sunbeam and there’s plenty of room for you over here…

  22. Ok, so I believe in reincarnation, and so here’s my theory: maybe if we do a really good job being a human this time around, we can come back as a spoiled puppeh or kitteh…

  23. Robin Kiesel says:

    *Dreaming of mayhem* Perfect!

  24. skippymom says:

    PUPPY!

  25. skippymom says:

I once heard someone say he would like to come back to life as his wife’s dog. I thought that was such a sweet and touching way of expressing his complete devotion to her.
Years later it occurred to me that he was actually saying his wife treated the dog better than she treated him.

  26. Whoa, correct spelling of chaise longue! Classy company in detention today!

  27. skippymom says:

Theresa, I have actually heard Richard Sher on Says You pronounce it “chaise lounge”. Wicked facepalm.

  28. Would you care for a tea sandwich or a scone?

  29. You used the real spelling of ded!

  30. skippymom says:

Sandwich would be lovely. And is there any Pimm’s? Wait, I’m not in the Lounge. Can I still have the snacks?

  31. Whoa, I just learned something! I’m a pretty detailed speller/grammer nerd, and I never knew that!

  32. Can I have both? :D

  33. When I first started volunteering at our local shelter a few years ago, I was surprised to discover how many people stopped by to look at the animals because they needed a break or wanted to de-stress. In retrospect I’m surprised it didn’t occur to me.

  34. Of course you can have both! I also have some strawberries and lemon tarts. And Pimms! What a great idea. In fact that is downright perfect. Don’t worry, Skippy, I can make yours in a “go cup”…

  35. CO. Come for the cute, stay for the education…

  36. skippymom says:

    Are there cucumber sandwiches?

  37. skippymom says:

Nikki, I just used a magic word to get in, so no need for the travel mug!
    *stretching out on chaise longue*

  38. Does it make it classier if the CO moderation place is referred to as the Moderation Longue?

  39. cellarmouse says:

skippymom, pimm’s fruit cup or liqueur?…

  40. *gets ready to aim spitballs at the Mod folks…when she hears Theresa say “classy company”*

Whaa??!!….well I guess if there’s a sandwich to be had, I’d take one with cucumbers and watercress ;)

  41. HAHAHAHAH….in trying to wreak havoc on the mod lounge…I get sent there. *sighs and shakes head*

Oh…there’s my chair with my name on it.

  42. phred's mom says:

Kudos, Nikki! I had given up on anyone actually getting “chaise longue”
right. However, I remember my philology teacher in high school reminding
us that English is a living language and modifies words from other tongues
constantly. I call it “The Elephant and Castle” effect. Londoners out there
will get this reference. I hope.

  43. go out, enjoy your freedom! we will always have a cucumber sandwich here for you!

  44. but of course.

  45. Sharpy I’m tewtelly jealous that you get to write the name of that vegetable without getting sent to the Mod Lounge! The filter makes it ever so difficult to post the Mod Lounge daily menus…

  46. Yep, that’s me. Livin’ on the edge…that’s just how I roll. Take THAT Mod Censors!

  47. victoreia says:

You mean “dedly”. And I wonder if adding the “-ly” tricks the Mods……

  48. victoreia says:

    Cucumber! Dead!

(Sorry–just trying some Mod Lounge passwords…..)

  49. victoreia says:

May I have a c*c*mber sandwich, please? And what is “Pimms”? Is it like tea?

  50. victoreia says:

Sunbeams are the bestest napping spots!

  51. Victoreia, Pimm’s is British gin-based alcohol (gin, botanicals, herbs) that is used to make a drink called a Pimm’s Cup. It’s a classic summer cocktail in the UK the same way the mint juleps are traditional for the Kentucy Derby here in the US. It’s quite yummy. Here is a hilarious article in Slate about Pimm’s. http://www.slate.com/articles/life/drink/2011/06/pattersons_pimms.html

  52. :)

  53. Looks like perfection too us:)
    Bella and DiDi

  54. Fird Birfle says:

    :)

  55. Fird Birfle says:

    so twue.

  56. Fird Birfle says:

If it also Please the Court, I would like the opportunity to particularly
commend Nikki on the simultaneous use of the verbs “engaging” and “brandishing”.

    Well-done, you !!!

  57. Fird Birfle says:

“phiLOLogy”??? do edify us, plz. K? thx.

  58. Fird Birfle says:

Hence the reason (or le raison, if you’ll allow me to get all “foofy” and Frawnsche
about it) that one of my top priority determining factors in selecting any new living place, has *ALWAYS* been a combination of:

*Quantity and size of window wall space /vs. regular wall space
    and
*locations of windows vs. sunrise/ sunset locations.

  59. LIfe is really hard.

  60. Bravo!

  61. Oooooowwwwhh! …♥

  62. No no! It’s the pink paw pads. I want to chomp chomp gently on everyone of them. I bet they’re really warm too!

BTW I love the smell of my Birman cat’s feet. They always smell so warm and earthy. Is that weird?

  63. happy puppy lies
    dreaming frolics in the warm
    sunbeam is happy too

  64. (tries to erase extra syllable from screen with pencil eraser)

  65. Fird Birfle says:

    *giggles*

  66. Nikki has found the Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD)! They weren’t hiding in Iraq after all…..they were right in plain sight, in that sunbeam. Who knew??

  67. lds7yrs says:

Me, too! If I have a choice, that is.

My dream house has east facing windows in my bedroom; it may not be for everybody, but hey, this is MY dream!
