OMG, the adorable hiney in the upper left corner! The cuteness is almost hurting my brain!
If you really care, you won’t eat them! Go vegan.
<3
Pigs are friends, not food. ^_^
The thing that has most pushed me toward being almost pure vegan, is having a bunny. That rabbit eats better than I do! And, just try living with the disapproval of non-veg food!
Guess I don’t “really” care, then. Yup, they’re cute. Yup, they’re smart. If I gave up any meat, it’d be pork. But, bacon is just so darn delicious….
You said it. Besides, we don’t eat them until they’re grown up, and they aren’t anywhere near as cute or friendly then.
Yeah, you never see these cute little guys at the state fair. The piggies at the fair always kind of scare me (even the littler ones!).
What made me turn almost pure vegan were 1) CuteOverload overloaded with the cuteness of piglets, and 2) the fact that for the last two years I’ve been giving lectures on bioethics for biotechnology students (and when preparing for these lectures, I had to confront myself with the fact that the foundations of modern medicine, biosciences, industry etc. had been built on unbelievable loads of animal suffering. So, YAY piglets! Long live all creatures big and small!
Wrinkly noses!!! Squeeeeee!!!
Let those other little piggies go to market, we’re staying home…
*performs the Triple Lindy into the piglet pile*
Ahhhh, nice and warm and cozy!
Well we’d have to be talkin’ about one charming mother[bleep]in’ pig. I mean he’d have to be ten times more charmin’ than that Arnold on Green Acres, you know what I’m sayin’?
“I just don’t dig on swine” was what popped immediately into my head
YAY Arnold
*swishing pompoms for Arnold*
flashbacks to Tocktober and Nosevember! Leetle Peegehs!
Ques John Denver’s “grandmas Feather Bed”…
Ahhh opiggies!
For the youngsters in the crowd.
When I was a little bitty boy
Just up off-a floor
We used to go down to Grandma’s house
Every month end or so
We had chicken pie and country ham
And homemade butter on the bread
But the best darn thing about Grandma’s house
Was her great big feather bed
It was nine feet high and six feet wide
Soft as a downy chick
It was made from the feathers of forty ‘leven geese
Took a whole bolt of cloth for the tick
It’d hold eight kids, four hound dogs
And a piggy we stole from the shed
We didn’t get much sleep but we had a lot of fun
On Grandma’s feather bed
Noooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!! I will not look at these lyrics! Will NOT!!! If I get this song stuck in my head I will have no choice but to do myself in, and then who would take care of my kitties?
notlookingnotlookingnotlooking
I don’t remember that song…Skippymom would you hum a few bars for me?
NON!!!
skippymom is so much better at debonaire & suave disregard, than moi !!!
But….but….skippymom….what’s wrong with “Grandma’s Featherbed”? I loff that song!!! Sing it with me, now…..
OK, listen. Long ago, my father and I were John Denver fans, and we listened to him all the time on eight-track tapes. But I could never stand THAT song. It’s cheesy and annoying–in my opinion. So if you all want to wander around singing it, knock yourselves out. Just please don’t do it anywhere near me.
Love,
S-mom
p.s. Skippy hates that song too.
Just be glad I did not link in Video! BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
*sound of gunshot*
Aaahhh! I had forgotten about that song. Thank you for the memories!
NYERRRHHHE!
Only problem with sleeping with piglets is they are always hogging the covers.
*golf clap*
And Oinking you while you try to sleep.
Happy Pig Day!. We remember nuzzling in our litters like this as babies. We love to cuddle.
Bella and DiDi
Hooray for pigs! Happy Pig Day! I’m glad to be a vegan, I must say!
“But please don’t call us now…” Lol!
You are crazy silly, “Crazy Pants.”
So adorable! Glad I don’t eat them!
