Roses are red
Violets are blue
Valentine’s Day is a made-up commercial holiday
My favorite OS is Windows 98
My heart just skipped a beat!
mine, mine, mine
I luff u, Teddy!
He had me at ”s alright’. <3
To put off concern…I asked on YT if the roses were dethorned. They replied that they took them away from him after the first rose munch. So my beloved Teddy Bear is just fine.
Teddy is so cute. I love the idea of giving your pets Valentine’s Day treats. In fact, I think I might run to the store later to pick them up some. Thanks for the idea.
he is too funny! maybe this question has been answered already, but I would love to know if all porcupines make noises like Teddy, or is he just special?
I think your question calls for intensive research! How can we get a hold of more porcupines and lots of corn? *starts searching the interwebs*
I’ll provide the corn if you provide the porcupines! We definitely need some hands on experimentation on this subject–wearing very thick gloves, of course.
Yay for Teddy! I’ve missed him so…
I do remember that question coming up with one of his previous videos, and someone said that when they’ve had to try to shoo them off to the side of a road, they’ve been pretty vocal.
I did find a video of vocalizations…
http://www.junglewalk.com/popup.asp?type=a&AnimalAudioID=14845
And maybe I’m biased…but I think Teddy sounds way cuter.
Oh that just made my day. I love when she gets closer and his vocalizations get louder. It’s like he’s saying yum yum yum…or is it mine mine mine? Either way Teddy is sure cute
MINE, MINE, MINE!
I sense a setup!
“Oh shucks, you’re right. No more corn. Oh hey, a flower… that’ll do. Love you.”
heh heh to both Teddy and Mike.
Teddy knows it’s always good to stop and eat the roses.
Heh heh heh…
I KNEW he was going to go for the roses! So, “Well, if you aren’t gonna provide anymore CORN…hmmm…these flowers will do…”
I would have to say Teddy Bear is a world-class nommer.
Can’t wait to get home so I can look at the video, I love Teddy!
I was having a really bad day until I heard Teddy Bear. I love that spiky corn noming guy. Is it just me or a one point does he say “merry Christmas”? (26 seconds in I think).
Thank you cuteoverload and Teddy for making my day a little better.
Katie, he does say “Merry Christmas.” Several licensed Cuteologists have confirmed this.
I wish they’d left the film running a bit longer — I want to know if he makes the same happy noises when he’s eating roses!
I love his little smacky/yummy noises.
I swear to God I heard the following dialogue;
“Teddy, did you eat all your corn?’
“Yeah, I did!”
“Was it good?”
“It was all right.”
Followed by “Mine mine mine mine mine mine mine!”
Listen again and tell me I’m crazy!
You are not crazy- that is EXACTLY what I heard. Or maybe we are both crazy!
That’s what I heard, too. I guess we’re all crazy!
Crazy for Teddy!
Me too. Another crazy person here.
That is exactly what I heard too!!! ♥♥♥
I heard “Yeah, yeah!” and “‘S’allright… Eh! Weeell… *mumble mumble*”.
I also heard the “S’allright!” Shades of Senor Wences…
I love to hear Teddy! But if I turn up the volume to hear his sweet nommings, I get blasted by the hoomin voice. (Not good at work.) Is there a way to contact the camera-lady and ask her to whisper?
Does anybody want to suggest to Teddy, that he might need corn-hab??/
Teddy is a little behind on his holidays…he totally said “Merry Christmas” at :26.
OMG, I heard it too!
You made me go back and check, and you’re right! (listening again wasn’t much of a hardship!)
I think Teddy loves anything he can eat.
I have become a Teddy Bear groupie! TEDDY TEDDY TEDDY!!!
I have become a Teddy Bear groupie!
I love the hoomin voice-over, BTW. She’s like a stand-in for everybody who watches: “Oh, Teddy Bear!”
Teddy is a porcupine for all seasons and occasions. His curmedgeonliness (Is that a word?) is what grabbed my heart.
I swear he says, “All right” at .18. Then there’s lots of hmm, hmmm, hmmm. I missed Teddy. Who knew porcupines could talk!
I’m POSITIVE that at about 0:27 Teddy says “Merry Christmas!”
Yes! You made me go listen again.
Did you hear it?
Yes, that’s exactly what he says!
I <3 Teddy.
It’s Teddy the talking Snoopy!
Haha! As soon as he finished the corn, stopped, sniffed the air, i knew he’d go for those roses
That’s not Teddy Bear, that’s COUSIN IT !! He even sounds the same!
He’s adorkable!
I hope those are organic roses! People, a word of caution. Your pet WILL eat the flowers you offer if he can and flowers are sprayed with the worst toxins our planet can spray on plants because they’re not being grown for the food market. If you present flowers for them to nibble on (and it’s a lovely thing to do) make sure they’re organic either by buying organic or picking them yourself from a safe place. My african grey parrot is a flower appreciator and nothing pleases me more than bringing him a tasty fresh rose from the garden!
Look out for the sly human arm giving Teddy a nudge to make him talk when the camera goes in close! Check out the right hand edge of the screen at around 0.35 seconds.
Here is a great article on porcupines and helps you to envision their personalities…and yes they do “talk”
Awwwww!!!
Life goes by so fast…take some time to eat the roses.
Sweet suffrin’ succotash!
I could swear that Teddy DOES say everything you guys say he does — and that Christmas greeting is so clear that I’m amazed I didn’t catch it the first time around.
