People magazine just recently had a photo article about Dolly Parton, who wrote Whitney’s most famous cover. Dolly was so gracious, saying she never minded that people thought Whitney wrote the song … as long as they sent the checks to her! What an interesting contrast in how to handle fame and talent …
I’m not sure it’s a makeout session when only one is doing the making out.
As for the sad news… not altogether unexpected, but still heartbreakingly sad. Just a few years older than I… She was a major talent, and her songs accompany many of my high school and college memories. Sigh. My thoughts are with her daughter.

I am doing ok….getting better.The whole neighborhood has had a rough week.
