Got our snow yesterday! Not a Blizzageddon, but enough for sledding!

  2. Marci B. says:

Come to CT, I got a backyard full of snow for this very cute pup:)

  3. Theresa says:

    PS: tongue!

  4. Theresa says:

    PPS: BEEP! BOOP!

  5. kibblenibble says:

No snow in my neck of the woods (Napa, CA.) Loff thees leetle McPupperson. Is he an Aussie? He is already demonstrating a knack for excellent haunch-splayage. :-) Here’s a kees for Rooney’s leetle noggin: Mwah!

    • Fird Birfle says:

I wuz wondering… maybe he could be a Burmese Mtn Dogue.
Do they always have eyebrow dots? ‘Cuz Rooney haz no eyebrow dots ….

      • Siobhan says:

Nah, that’s not a Bernese. I definitely favor the Aussie thought. In fact, kibblenibble, your comment about “haunch-splayage”cracked me up. I just say there are no hip bones. But, definitely an Aussie. There’s the Aussie smile, too, as well as allover proportions and shape.

  6. stbernardmom says:

We got over a foot of snow last night here in the mountain of central Wyoming, and our Saint Bernards love it!!

  7. Shari says:

It’s been a lousy day – rude sales people, machine-hogging jerks at the health club, cold and rainy weather, 3 loads of laundry to do, nothing good in the fridge for dinner, I ran out of TaB, and I might be getting a cold.

Picture number one just made it all better…

  8. Chris B. says:

So far only about 6 inches up here in NW North Dakota. Last year at this time, I think we were up to a couple of feet and then got hit with even more. Floods everywhere. We still have Feb through May to get through. We could still get hit with alot. Just wanna beep that nose in the first pic and love the tocks in the second picture..

  9. JLAmusings says:

I’m torn between the cuteness of the tongue & the ‘tocks. Adorable!

    • MusicFan87 says:

I know! First pic, I was like, “Tongue!” Second pic, I yelled, “Puppy ‘tocks!” Toooooo cute!!!!

  10. Skip says:

What kind of dog is this? I must know.

  11. Becky Slam says:

Sunny in Ohio all day today. Snow is melting….for now. Great day, then I logged in and saw this puppy. Now it’s a phenomenal day. The cute is making me giggle against my will. This puppy is to die for. What eeez he, I must know? His furry little drumstick thighs, his blindingly white socks and his teeny little tongue are making my feel very maternal.

  12. HeliH says:

We have about 8 inches snow in South-Western Finland. And our dogs enjoy it a lot. :)

  13. Chihgirl says:

Precious fur-baby!!! I want to snuggle this fluff ball…the pink tongue curled “just so”…the beautiful little face…and the fluffy splayed ‘tocks!!!! Smiles……….

  14. Fird Birfle says:

Well, Rooney might not be “large” [yet] but he shore is already “in charge” !!!!

  15. Gigi says:

We do have some snow on the ground here in Quebec but not as much as usual and this week they say we’ll get rain and freezing rain so it will melt. We did get some cold days this years: -28 ºC = -18.4 ºF but also not as many as in the past.

But I wouldn’t mind snuggling up to that puppy anyway.

  16. Trina says:

I live in Seattle,WA where we had 15 inches of snow last week :(
We lost power for 2 days, unfortunately some of other cities won’t be getting power for another 2 weeks.

    • Theresa says:

Jeez, Louise, snow used not to be a feature of the Pacific Northwest.

    • ffleur says:

Just a bit north of you Trina. I am a proud and true card-carrying west coast weenie. Snow paralyzes us because it comes so infrequently we never get used to it. Now rain, we are used to rain. West coast uniform? Shorts, sandals with wool socks, parka and umbrella, natch

    • 6Rabbits says:

No power for 2 WEEKS?!!! 8O

    • Karla Borecky says:

Trina, I feel for all of you. Still getting over no power for 6 days after the Halloween snow here in New England. (Well, 6 days for us – more for others.) You all are supposed to be in a rainforest climate, no?? Horrible.

  17. debg says:

No snow in Kansas–it’s in the 50s.

ROONEY! How adorable. Boop and kissy on the nose.

  18. Gigi says:

Darn! Ended up in the mod lounge
Oh well. “”shrugs”" Bartender! I’d like a hot rum toddy please.

  19. awatts says:

Sure looks like an Aussie to me. I have an Aussie mix that looks really similar but black instead of brown (and full grown). Super cute Mcpupperson.

We’ve only had a dusting of snow here and there in NE Kansas. Very unusual winter.

  20. Madame X says:

Is Rooney a Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever? (Try saying that three times, fast!) Because adorable he is, in spades!!!

    • Theresa says:

That’s a good guess, he looks like a NSDTR. But I can’t see a tail. The tail shortage indicates Aussitude.

  21. simulflow says:

Here in Vancouver BC we had about a week where snow happened. I don’t know if we will have another one. It was darned cold and caused a Boxer puppy I know to turn into a lolloping goof (even more so than usual). :)

    Where was the tongue-hance??

  22. Miriam says:

    Puppy planking! (almost)

  23. Carrie says:

He looks like a aussie to me. Too cute!!

  24. No tail he is an Aussie! See second picture!

    Scruffs puppy behind the ears.

  25. ashagato says:

only got a few inches of snow so far up here in Ontario so far…shhhh….definitely feel like we’re getting away with something…

    • chicky82 says:

What part of Ontario? We have nearly 40 cm (15 inches) just since Christmas, nearly everywhere north of Toronto has snow. Come on Spring! Happy puppy smile :)

  26. chanpon says:

    OMG, where is my tongue-hance?!

  27. JulieB says:

Looks like Rooney has already dipped his front pawsies in snow. We’ve had just a couple of inches here in southeastern MN. Very unusual for us. Last year, there was about 2 ft. I really don’t mind not having to shovel often!

  28. Theresa says:

PS I can’t eat it because the NFC championship game is in overtime, and I feel like I’m gonna throw up 8O

  29. MikeD says:

    It’s 2 Sox!!

  30. Mary (the first) says:

Here near Portland OR we had a day of snow last week but it almost immediately all melted away. Now just rain, rain, rain. If I had a sweet doglet like this, I could stand the rain. I’d cuddle him by the fire and we’d read. And cuddle some more.

    • lggbie says:

I hear you. I am soooo tired of the rain (also near Portland) but I fear it’s going to be like this until oh, July. I haz two doggies for to lay on me and make me feel less sad. Of course, then I do not feel like leaving the house. :)

  31. Meep says:

    Jumbo Pillow just got some!

    • KittyMarthaPoo says:

This is awesome. I love how kitty daintily dips her paws into the snow. Love how owner lovingly has her harnessed up so she won’t run away. I keep telling my mom to get her own cat a harness & let her check out the snow.

    • Karla Borecky says:

The tail on that kitty! Fantastic!

We put our Moonpie down in the snow once – it was up over her chest. My husband was holding her outside, as he did, and she expressed interest in being put down. We thought, where’s she going to go? It was fairly deep. Well, she took off like a little tank plowing through the snow. We finally went to get her because she wasn’t showing any signs of stopping.

She just passed away on Dec 23, our last kitty :-( . She was 20.

  32. 6Rabbits says:

I loff hees leetle delicately curled tongue! Voting for tongue-hance! You know just out of the frame is hees fluffy tummy! Want to snorgle now!

( Northwestern Indiana, home of “Lake Effect” snow, has had an amazingly warm winter–40s and even 50s!–but with the new year cometh the snow. Really hasn’t been too much, and we’ve had some 40 degree days in between the snow fronts. With a foot or so of snow on the ground we had a THUNDER STORM tonight. Bizarre weather!)

  33. Nucleus says:

Here in Sweden we have snow. It is dreadful. You can have it ;)

  34. emmberrann says:

How does he get his sockies so clean? It can’t be the tongue because they would come out peeenk…

  35. tracylee says:

no snow in the South (hooray)!
puppers already has his mittens on, I guess he’s ready to play outside :)

luurrrve the wee nommable earsies and the pbbbtthhhttt raspberry tongue!

    • Fird Birfle says:

Here in NE Fla, you wouldn’t even think it were winter (sorry pholks).
Daytime teps around 70 and this morning was foggy/ overcast/ somewhat muggy
(which in NE Fla means humidity around 65 percent)

      • Fird Birfle says:

        *blushingk*

        “teMps” not “teps”

        *blushingk*

      • Emmberrann says:

Ahh, quitcher grumblin’ Mz. Birfle! You ain’t sorry, not one bit! It has been TOO cold here in centeral OH (‘ceptin’ today-temps goin’ ta be fair-to-middlin’ tol’able). We even had SNOW on the ground (fer a coupla days, ‘ceptin’ today-it’s gonter melt on account of them tol’able temps).

      • Alyx says:

It’s expected to be 80 in central Florida for the next couple of days. It’s really dry, too, so the fire hazzard is high.

    • Noelegy says:

No snow in the South *cries*

I swear, I must have been a Siberian in a past life.

  36. Noelegy says:

Not. One. Bit. of snow here yet in my part of Texas. :( I ♥ snow but I totally live in the wrong state for it. My Colorado native hubby says I only love it because I’ve never had to shovel it.

    • Wend says:

Or shake it out of your boots, when it’s over the tops of them. Or slide off a fresh fall of it and into the ditch because the snow came one day before your appointment to get snow tires put on. ;)

Not that any of this is from personal experience.
*tucks hands in pockets, and fakes noncholance as walking away*

    • 6Rabbits says:

      AMEN!!

  37. Pup Rooney? ISWYDT.

  38. Wend says:

I’m being moderated. Imagine that. … wonder what I said…

  39. Miss Olive says:

    OMG those little hind legs…squeee!!!

  40. victoreia says:

Soooo, I shouldn’t tell you guys about the 78F here in the Aloha State……
    *whistles innacently*
*dons armor and hauls out bucket to catch flung pudding*

    • awatts says:

I just got back from a week in Hawaii and it was heaven.

I’m jealous that you actually get to live there, and “vacation” is going somewhere else :)

    • Queen of Dork says:

Here in Vegas, the weather was PERFECT today! (at least to me it was). Really very cool temperatures (50s or so) with big clouds in the sky which were white and a hundred different shades of grey with blue visible also, and sunshine mixed in with it all. And the icing on the cake, it was drizzling on and off. Sheer perfection! :) I wouldn’t mind at all if it snowed but I don’t think that’s going to happen.

  41. Christy says:

    Adorably precious!!! Love the tongue!
