The kind that adds extra bounce.

Maybe this time they should’ve tested it on animals first? Sent in by Miriam who found it on DogWork

Nobody does pure joy like a dog. I only wish I had about 1% of his energy.

  9. BudgetBunny says:

My dogs do that at the dog park when they aren’t sure where the ball went – it cracks me up everytime, they look like kangaroos!

You know….I dont think there is a person anywhere who can say that dogs DON’T know how to live life exuberantly and to the fullest!!!

  12. The Original Jane says:

Very appropriate music. So bouncing in the fields to a dog is like swing dancing is to humans – pure joy!

  13. Nikki says:

  16. jakepets says:

Did you mean to say “maybe we should have tested it on HUMANS first?” Erm, that makes more sense to me, because we all know animal-testing is bad, right? When it’s just for a shampoo? Oh, and BOING! And I agree, where’s Bea?

  17. cellarmouse says:

dog is so filled with joy to have pleased his man…man must be teaching working dog something useful to man…but what?…please explain…(btw i think this explains very nicely why humans became bipedal on the savannnah – gotta see where yer goin’ eh – and where the lions are comin’ from…)

  18. Lucinda says:

This pup needs some Ritalin! I know some kids with this kind of energy.

But this video brings back a funny childhood memory — when I lived on the family farm as a kid, my sister and I wrote a note to the neighbors telling them to keep their dogs out of our wheat field because it was destroying the crops! They had Great Danes and they were trampling down the grain by running around in the field. We heard our parents talking about it, so we took matters into our own hands. And when the neighbors read the note, which we left for them in their bedroom and then were stupid enough to hang out, as usual, with their six kids, down at their barnyard, my mom showed up and marched us back home threatening us with a two-by-four! Must have been quite a site!

  19. sue says:

Mercy. We have so much to learn from the critters about enjoying the simple things.

  20. ash says:

oh so cute and immediately reminded me to go watch ‘dalmation in snow’ on the tube of you.

  24. Theresa says:

PS Reminded of old Far Side cartoon, with the kangaroos: “Just jump, you fool! You don’t have to say ‘Boing boing boing’!”

  25. Lizzy says:

I’m thinking Huntaway/Gazelle cross? Maybe with a side of SPRINGbok? (I’m sorry, couldn’t help it.)

  26. Mudbug says:

I call it : “Octopi Seattle 50,000 times”

  27. Grace says:

I do so love the unabashed joy of dog!

  28. This sproingy dog is obviously the result of secret government labs genetic experiments, crossing a dog with a gazelle!

  29. MamaDawn in Tulsa says:

My mother-in-law’s dog used to do the same thing when we went to the lake… until one time she forgot about the boat slip and went “boing-boing-splut”. No animals were harmed in the making of this memory.

  30. zoetta says:

    This made me so happy!

  31. Sprock says:

And that, my friends, is what we call “unbridled enthusiasm.”

  32. callmekay says:

Oh, Lord, please give me just a tiny bit of that enthusiasm . . .

  33. s says:

Oh Joy! Oh Rapture! A field of tall grass! Mine…all mine!!!!

  34. Shazzanorth says:

Was having a sad day – but not now. JOY!

  35. Sadie's Mom says:

I used to do this with my dog…toss pebbles into field to get her to chase and bounce… Found out she was finding the rocks, and swallowing them… She nearly obstructed and had to have surgery to remove one. No more rocks after that. Be careful!

    • Sharpy says:

how weird. reading this is sort of like finding and swallowing a rock. i’ll return to sproinging through the fjords.

  36. ColumbaNine says:

Am in tears, but in a good way. Memories of growing up surrounded by wheatfields and my awesome dog Blazer. (O the things that I have seen, that I now can see no more…) But Blazer still visits me in my dreams, and now he can talk to me! (In my dreams. He gives me advice about dating and work…mostly he tells me who I can trust! and you KNOW I believe him!) Anyway. One day I shall be surrounded by wheatfields again…and have a dog…sigh. Thanks for this joyous post.

  37. Bri. says:
