Somebody Switched to a New Shampoo

The kind that adds extra bounce.

Maybe this time they should’ve tested it on animals first? Sent in by Miriam who found it on DogWork

  1. Martha in Washington says:

Where can I get a case of this stuff!?!
    “and I’ll tell two friends…and they’ll tell two friends…ansd so on…and so on…”

  2. I’l have what he’s having…. Oh, and… Where’s Bea!!!???

  3. Nicole M. says:

A pup? Surely you jest. That’s obviously a kangaroo.

  4. or a springtail. or a springtoe.

  5. watching that happy pup puts a huge smile on my face 😀

  6. I approach my Wednesdays with equal vigor and enthusiasm. Don’t we all? SPROING SPROING SPROING!!!!

  7. Field studies: advancing our knowledge of Cute by leaps and bounds.

  8. i’m feeling sick today and this brought a smile to my face. thank you co!

  9. Nobody does pure joy like a dog. I only wish I had about 1% of his energy.

  10. My dogs do that at the dog park when they aren’t sure where the ball went – it cracks me up everytime, they look like kangaroos!

  11. oooh!ooh! have y’all seen the new volkswagen commercial?!

drove Miss Schnozz absolutely bonkers when it came on 🙂

  12. You know….I dont think there is a person anywhere who can say that dogs DON’T know how to live life exuberantly and to the fullest!!!

  13. The Original Jane says:

Very appropriate music. So bouncing in the fields to a dog is like swing dancing is to humans – pure joy!

  14. Dog + Big Field = Unbridled JOY!!! 🙂

  15. (a la Animaniacs:) Boing-y! Boing-y! Boing-y!

  16. Stephanie says:

    Pure Awesomeness!!! =)

  17. Did you mean to say “maybe we should have tested it on HUMANS first?” Erm, that makes more sense to me, because we all know animal-testing is bad, right? When it’s just for a shampoo? Oh, and BOING! And I agree, where’s Bea?

  18. Oh my snot! It took me practically the whole video to realize that it WAS a Star Wars ad! I kept thinking, “That one dog looks like an Ewok!” 🙂

  19. cellarmouse says:

dog is so filled with joy to have pleased his man…man must be teaching working dog something useful to man…but what?…please explain…(btw i think this explains very nicely why humans became bipedal on the savannnah – gotta see where yer goin’ eh – and where the lions are comin’ from…)

  20. That almost killt me with laughter! Thanks for the link.

And I love this goggie–he’s outstanding in his field?

  21. This pup needs some Ritalin! I know some kids with this kind of energy.

But this video brings back a funny childhood memory — when I lived on the family farm as a kid, my sister and I wrote a note to the neighbors telling them to keep their dogs out of our wheat field because it was destroying the crops! They had Great Danes and they were trampling down the grain by running around in the field. We heard our parents talking about it, so we took matters into our own hands. And when the neighbors read the note, which we left for them in their bedroom and then were stupid enough to hang out, as usual, with their six kids, down at their barnyard, my mom showed up and marched us back home threatening us with a two-by-four! Must have been quite a site!

  22. Fird Birfle says:

    *delighted giggle*

*shakes pompoms for Bea, for tanguera and for the Doggeh*

  23. And the AT-AT costume at the end!!

  24. Mercy. We have so much to learn from the critters about enjoying the simple things.

  25. oh so cute and immediately reminded me to go watch ‘dalmation in snow’ on the tube of you.

  26. mine too!!!

  27. Lurken-sproinging … has gone to the dogs.

  28. Be sure and check for foxtails.

  29. OH, thank Ceiling Cat CO is back! My long national nightmare is over!

  30. PS Reminded of old Far Side cartoon, with the kangaroos: “Just jump, you fool! You don’t have to say ‘Boing boing boing’!”

  31. I’m thinking Huntaway/Gazelle cross? Maybe with a side of SPRINGbok? (I’m sorry, couldn’t help it.)

  32. Sorry about the thread jack but I just found this & knew it belonged here.
I call it : “Octopi Seattle 50,000 times”

  33. I do so love the unabashed joy of dog!

  34. Beautiful!! Thanks for the link!! I wonder how many of these babies will survive and become as big as their momma!

  35. This sproingy dog is obviously the result of secret government labs genetic experiments, crossing a dog with a gazelle!

  36. Nice. I remember that one.

  37. MamaDawn in Tulsa says:

My mother-in-law’s dog used to do the same thing when we went to the lake… until one time she forgot about the boat slip and went “boing-boing-splut”. No animals were harmed in the making of this memory.

  38. This made me so happy!

  39. The Original Jane says:

You may not want to know the answer to that question. And the reality of life for the momma is sad. Having warned everyone, this link is very informative.

  40. And that, my friends, is what we call “unbridled enthusiasm.”

  41. Oh, Lord, please give me just a tiny bit of that enthusiasm . . .

  42. Oh Joy! Oh Rapture! A field of tall grass! Mine…all mine!!!!

  43. Shazzanorth says:

Was having a sad day – but not now. JOY!

  44. Oh my dog, that was amazing. And the At-At at the end made me laugh so hard I nearly cried. Thank you so much! Can’t wait to share it with my own “Schnozz.”

  45. Fird Birfle says:

  46. Fird Birfle says:

    Makes ultimate sense to me.

  47. Sadie's Mom says:

I used to do this with my dog…toss pebbles into field to get her to chase and bounce… Found out she was finding the rocks, and swallowing them… She nearly obstructed and had to have surgery to remove one. No more rocks after that. Be careful!

  48. Am in tears, but in a good way. Memories of growing up surrounded by wheatfields and my awesome dog Blazer. (O the things that I have seen, that I now can see no more…) But Blazer still visits me in my dreams, and now he can talk to me! (In my dreams. He gives me advice about dating and work…mostly he tells me who I can trust! and you KNOW I believe him!) Anyway. One day I shall be surrounded by wheatfields again…and have a dog…sigh. Thanks for this joyous post.

  49. aaaand this is how Kangaroos evolved….

  50. Pretty much what I thought. The rare, elusive Dogalope, finally caught on tape!

  51. Oh! The housework
    I could conquer
    with that energy.

(today about all I can muster is enough to keep my eyes open)

  52. I’ve just tried watching it for the 5th time without smiling. Epic fail!

  53. starlinguk says:

Get the gun, ma, that kangaroo’s in the corn again!

    I keed, I keed 😛

  54. how weird. reading this is sort of like finding and swallowing a rock. i’ll return to sproinging through the fjords.

  55. I wondered where those pompoms got to!

  56. Catsquatch says:

In my former life I was a GAZELLE!!!!!

  57. Bea? (Sproing, sproing, sproing……!!) 😯

  58. Sorree, BC…… I dint see your Sproings……;

  59. Fleurdamour says:

    I wish I had 10% of this guy’s energy.

  60. Absolutely classic…this is a keeper!

  61. Land dolphin?!

  62. Methinks the AT-AT at the end was the same one with the winningest pet costume of all time…..

  63. *headdesk* Link fail……

*crosses fingers that it actually LINKS!*

  64. Any relation to the jackolope?

  65. Niiiiice! 😆

  66. “Their tops are made out of rubber
Their bottoms are made out of springs!
    They’re bouncy, trouncy, flouncy, pouncy
    Fun, fun, fun, fun, fun!”

  67. earlybird1 says:

And I shall bound, bound like zee gazelle!

  68. earlybird1 says:

The embarrassing thing is, I have often wished I myself could do this when I lose my car in the parking lot. Heh.

  69. The one will chase the other. But never capture.

  70. I usually wish I could hover, like a very large, drab, hummingbird. 😉

  71. The Original Jane says:

    Hey Scooby!

  72. I giggled through the whole thing

  73. You read my mind.

  74. Priceless!!! LOL!!!

  75. I love happy dogs! Farmer’s going to be ticked about his wheat, though…
