Look, she’s starting to get a run through her hose

Everyone knows you shouldn’t let a dog get too close when you have your hose on.

How else are you supposed to deal with the dog days of summer?

Dogs lurve the hose! But you try to get them near the bathtub and its panic and pandemonium all over the house…

    • Jae says:

Ha! We used to have a springer spaniel and we had to spell the word “bath” around him because he would run and jump into the tub the moment he heard it.

      • Blue Footed Booby says:

We did that, and then he learned how to spell bath. He’s a freaking labrador. He has webbed toes. Why do you have to make our lives difficult, dog? :/

If there is one truism in this world it is, where there is water, there will be a lab.

I would have loved to see the results of the Big Shake ™ that came seconds after this shot.

interestingly, my lab/shepherd mix HATES the hose. in fact, last summer when it was 1000 degrees here in chicago, i got her a little kiddie pool and she wouldn’t go anywhere near it, as she had seen me filling it with the hose.

i love the arched back on daisy in the picture. pure canine bliss…
