Oh my Lord – if that is not the teeny-ist, tiniest dolphin I have ever seen! I too have did not know that bebe dolfs were this itty bitty. I think I’m pretty dadgum ded, myself.

  19. ash says:

O M GAAH !!! want in the worst way.

  20. Link with bigger pics.

I think it’s a La Plata dolphin. They’re a lot smaller than the common Bottlenose dolphin, and this story comes from Uruguay, which is where they live.

    • Elena1030 says:

Well, that name is perfect for this lil’ dolf-dolf’s silverly loveliness. And the Man of ResQte must speak Español. ¡Qué encantador!

      A trifecta of Qte.

Excuse me while I recover from asplosion and the cleanup crew sweeps up all the glitter.

    • Holly says:

Thank you so much for the link. My first reaction was “WHAT is GOING ON?” I knew some fabulous CO’er would post the link. I’m so concerned for that precious little guy. Only 10 days old. I hope he can survive, the little beauty. He’s so impossibly tiny. It’s sweet that serious penguinhead is looking after him — and the handsome human, too.

    • ashagato says:

thanks Pixy! I love the second pic where you can see his precious little dolfin tailio!

  21. em says:

Is it wrong that the first thing I saw was the guy’s giant elephant foot? It took me a second to realize there wasn’t some kind of extra underwater animal swimming by.

  22. Martha in Washington says:

Baby Dolph would fit PERFECTLY in my hottub! Can Mr. Dolphin Cuddler come too?

  23. Ali-Baba says:

Ok, this is now on my list! The list that includes the mini-giraffe, house hippo, & whatever minuscule qteness comes next! :-)

  24. wiven says:

So cute!…but what the heck is going on here??! How does this happen, and how do I be part of it? Is it the Cute Twilight Zone?? O_o

  25. Syephanie says:

I had no idea baby dolphs were so tine tines. Can’t stand it. In what heaven do these babies live together and when can i visit?

  26. jenben says:

  28. AB says:

Sorry to say that the baby dolphin was too small and did not survive. =_(

I got directed to this pic by a friend on Facebook after being away from C.O. for a while. I clearly haven’t maintained my cute tolerance while I’ve been away, because my head totally exploded from the cute when I saw this. Good stuff, C.O., good stuff.

  37. Shari says:

I’ve had the flu all week and didn’t think anything would make me feel better today. I WAS WRONG! THIS DID! And I want that guy’s job.

  38. Scott says:

Prosh? Dolf-dolf? I gotta tell you, the captions on these things are so sickening, it tempts me to stay off the website completely. These are not real words!

Scott, if you are not willing to overlook grammar for the sake of Qte, you do not belong on this site. Go join an online grammar club and leave us in peace. >:(

    • michelle b adams says:

scott you totally do not get the spirit of this site. suggest you find one akin to national geographic or sierra club or animal planet, with a side of ‘this is serious.’

  39. flutterby says:

Adorable pictures, but is “fishes” tag correct when dolphins are mammals?

  40. y knot says:

  41. occula says:

I didn’t know they came in huggable sizes!! omg. And it doesn’t have feets to push me away like my cat does when I get too much of a hug cravin’.

  42. That is about the cutest little dolphin in the universe! I wanna cuddle it! And the penguin… penguins are ALWAYS cute!

  43. superboymom says:

  51. NormallyLurksOnly says:

Ok, since no one else has said it, I suppose it falls to me. *Ahem*: “Dear CO, as much as I am a fan of this little doll, this excessive qteness must stop, I know you’re just doing it on porpoise…”

  54. BUFFEH says:
  55. Ashley says:

is anyone else concerned why there is a baby dolphin without mum in what looks like a tiny pool? yes incredibly cute but also horribly disturbing…

    • Sharpy says:

really? REALLY? “horribly disturbing?” if you can use words with that many syllables, i’m going to guess that you can do a little reading about the poor, poor, suffocating, captive ORPHAN dolphin.

      sheesh.

  56. Kim says:

Thanks a lot, CO, I’m now on Proshness life support. If you’d thrown that adorabuhl otter in from the other day, I would be in a Cute Coma right now.
