kittens named people names!
“Allan”? They miiight want to have their kitten sexed by a vet. That kitten looks like a tortie, and male torties are ridiculously rare…like, genetic freak o’ nature rare.
I was thinking the same thing! Not that “Allan-a” is in any way, shape, or form a freak o’nature. Nope. Nuh-uh.

True but maybe it’s deliberate. I once had a girl kitteh named “Harold” and I knew she was a she when I named her. I had pre-decided either Harold or Barbara .. and when I met the kitteh, she just didn’t look like a Barbara. So, Harold. Possibly Allan got her name in some similar manner.

I have a friend who has a male cat named Lola.
I asked her if he speaks in a deep brown voice, and she just laughed.
“Allan” is gorgeous!
It’s a very rare and very cute Cat-garoo Joey in his pouch.
That problem with that suggestion is the cats ARE the sock monsters! (At least, in my house…..)
So true….the kitten we are fostering drags anybodies and everbodies clean (or dirty) socks around. I just tell him to drag his “kill’ to the kitchen and play (which he gladly does). Never thought that cats would like to play with socks or anything like that. I KNEW dogs do but not cats.

That is actually Annie, not Allan. My wife appears to have mislabeled it. And she as ridiculously happy in that sock. Musta felt warm and cozy, like nursing on my hand which she still does to this day…

I must admit to wanting to see how the kitteh got into the sock. Picky would not have suckled my hand, he would have shredded it. [He actually bit me once when I was trying to gently brush his gums with one of those finger brushes - Eventually, I threw out the meat-flavored toothpaste, which he proceeded to spit out (ptui!).]

As an aside, and speaking of Annies, my friend Annie trims nails of numerous cats’ pointy bits. She uses a bag she calls a “beastie bag” in which to gently restrain them, my Bucky included. It’s very effective for keeping both parties safe from injury. I always feel compelled to apologize for Bucky’s foul language throughout the process, as the air becomes quite ‘blue’ with his utterances!!
I think I’ve seen something like that. Gabby got zipped into one once when she had to have her ears cleaned. She looked like a little red sausage with a calico head. Said bag had zippered openings for various limbs to be extruded from casing for nails to be trimmed or what have you.
Ack! I typed out a whole comment and it disappeared. Not an easy feat for me (typing), as I only have one functioning hand. halp, where’d it go?
