Spy vs. Spy

Alone in the remote shadows, Spy Kitten watches his high-profile target. Years of rigorous training have made him a master of concealment, undetected by anyone…

… or so he thinks.

And now, Jason W. with a true tale of survival: “This picture is of my brother’s cat that he just got the other day when it rode in the engine compartment of a car for 45 minutes to where the people were going. My dad found it and my brother adopted it.”

Dude, I’m real happy for your cat an’ Ima let you finish, but that is the craziest run-on sentence of all time!!!

Is he hiding in the inky shadows of the dimly lit Quonset hut?

Sorry to be slow on the uptake, but which feline was the rescue? I want to know who to admire for their 45 minute drive…

My guess is the little fuzzypants in the second photo.

The first kitteh appears to be checking out the oven. Not sure what he sees in there, though. Thanksgiving turkey, maybe?

My Eddy once tried to climb into a hot oven. Just another indicator of his intelligence level.

I once made and folded up my sofa bed. It required just a little extra push to go in all the way that morning. I put the cushions on and a few seconds later heard a very muffled, “Mpheow!”

When Kyuri and Ezri were wee babies, we had a dual recliner with a hole in the back. Said recliner was in the middle of the room, and acted as a room divider. Every now and then, I would have to look under the recliner, and free said babies.

It was even worse when they got into my folks’ bedroom, and under the bed with the adjustable mattress. (You know, you can elevate one end or the other, or
both.) We learned quickly to check under the bed before leaving the house. “Where are the kittens?” “I don’t know. Did you check under your bed this morning, Mom?”

[sigh] I miss them being that small.

Hubby is tiling the kitchen this weekend. While this project is going on, the glass-topped stove has been moved into the dining room area (which is really just the nexus where the kitchen and the living room meet). Murphy has made this his cool oasis. I’ve informed him that once the stove is moved back into the kitchen, he may no longer lie upon it, but he just gives me that “I don’t speak English” look.

SPY VS. SPY, wasn’t that a feature from MAD Magazine ?
Maybe the title should be Kitty vs.Kitty or perhaps the
CAT from U.N.C.L.E. ? Anybody out there remember that show ?

    • Ozbirds says:

Yes. I remember Spy vs Spy from MAD magazine…..as well as The Man from UNCLE.
*sigh* memories light the corners of my mind. La lala la la la

  10. Well which ever one was rescued.. YAY for RESCUTES!!1111111

It’s a good thing they are teaching computer skills to this kitty at an early age. My cat will only occasionally type correctly with her paws. She seems to prefer to “butt type” by sitting on the keyboard instead.

I don’t want to be a party pooper, but I just wonder if someone on the other end of that 45 minute drive is missing their kitty? My cat wandered onto my neighbors U-Haul truck once, and they moved him to their new apartment. Luckily, they brought him back!

    • kattie says:

I was just about to say that!!
45minute drive is a long way inside the engine compartment, but its not a long distance! They should have taken the kitty back, the fact he got out doesnt mean he’s homeless…!
Yay for ‘rescutes’ but it’s not a rescue if they don’t try to find his home first…

      This kind of makes me sad… ;__;
