Spy vs. Spy

Alone in the remote shadows, Spy Kitten watches his high-profile target. Years of rigorous training have made him a master of concealment, undetected by anyone…

… or so he thinks.

And now, Jason W. with a true tale of survival: “This picture is of my brother’s cat that he just got the other day when it rode in the engine compartment of a car for 45 minutes to where the people were going. My dad found it and my brother adopted it.”

  1. Li’l Stripey Is Watching You!

  2. Dude, I’m real happy for your cat an’ Ima let you finish, but that is the craziest run-on sentence of all time!!!

  3. Is he hiding in the inky shadows of the dimly lit Quonset hut?

  4. It’s a game of cat and also cat.

  5. Sorry to be slow on the uptake, but which feline was the rescue? I want to know who to admire for their 45 minute drive…

  6. INKY SHADOWS! Click and Clack shoutout! Bring on the Bronko Nagurski long underwear and “Hey guys, watch this!”

  7. Sonje Henie’s tutu!

  8. My guess is the little fuzzypants in the second photo.

The first kitteh appears to be checking out the oven. Not sure what he sees in there, though. Thanksgiving turkey, maybe?

  9. Looks ok to me says:

That’s not a run-on sentence. It has a perfectly good subject, verb, etc.

  10. ♪♫ Private eyes, they’re watching you ♪♫

  11. tinytabby

Sorry, you didn’t do it so I had to!! 🙂

    Covert kitteh is covert.

  12. Captured on CCT: Covert Cat Television.

  13. My Eddy once tried to climb into a hot oven. Just another indicator of his intelligence level.

  14. Fird Birfle says:

    Were you proud? 😯

  15. Yes, but is it a man-eater?

  16. Fird Birfle says:

    BWAH HA HA @
    “COXGCU” = “Cute Overload Extremely Grainy Close-up” !!!!111!!!! 🙂

Mike, did *ALL* your English Composition teachers propose marriage to you?????
Or only those who were females??

  17. LOLO, oh, yes indeedy!!!

  18. yay for fathers finding cats and yay for brothers adopting them! :))

  19. mine got into the dishwasher. i couldn’t close it, push push, thought it was a spatula, looked in. cat eyes, very calm.
granddaughter swaddled dolls, cuddled them into all appliances. had to do dolly check often. resembles me.

  20. Oh yeah, my heart was just bursting with pride that I had raised such an idiot.

  21. He’s saying, “There must be a bottle of Filippio Berio Extra Virgin Olive Oil in here SOMEPLACE!”

  22. I once made and folded up my sofa bed. It required just a little extra push to go in all the way that morning. I put the cushions on and a few seconds later heard a very muffled, “Mpheow!”

  23. bob drummond says:

SPY VS. SPY, wasn’t that a feature from MAD Magazine ?
Maybe the title should be Kitty vs.Kitty or perhaps the
CAT from U.N.C.L.E. ? Anybody out there remember that show ?

  24. Well which ever one was rescued.. YAY for RESCUTES!!1111111

  25. It’s a good thing they are teaching computer skills to this kitty at an early age. My cat will only occasionally type correctly with her paws. She seems to prefer to “butt type” by sitting on the keyboard instead.

  26. Thank you!
Tinee Tabbee is keeping tabbs on his kitteh friends.

  27. Second Kitty: COXGCU? But it always comes out so sharp on CSI!

  28. Guinea Peeg Lover says:

    It’s like layers inside layers.. it’s Cat-ception!

  30. When Kyuri and Ezri were wee babies, we had a dual recliner with a hole in the back. Said recliner was in the middle of the room, and acted as a room divider. Every now and then, I would have to look under the recliner, and free said babies.

It was even worse when they got into my folks’ bedroom, and under the bed with the adjustable mattress. (You know, you can elevate one end or the other, or
both.) We learned quickly to check under the bed before leaving the house. “Where are the kittens?” “I don’t know. Did you check under your bed this morning, Mom?”

[sigh] I miss them being that small.

  31. I can’t resist _that_ lead!!! Please to watch the new Simon’s Cat…

  32. Looks like a tiger to me.

  33. All together know: “BO-O-O-O-GUS!” 😀

  34. The Simon’s Cat cartoon is a riot!!

  35. Yes. I remember Spy vs Spy from MAD magazine…..as well as The Man from UNCLE.
*sigh* memories light the corners of my mind. La lala la la la

  36. Familiar to everyone with a computer and a feline overlord…… ROTFLMAO!!!

  37. I don’t want to be a party pooper, but I just wonder if someone on the other end of that 45 minute drive is missing their kitty? My cat wandered onto my neighbors U-Haul truck once, and they moved him to their new apartment. Luckily, they brought him back!

  38. Kari Callin says:

I spy, with my little eye, something that begins with “C”!

  39. AWW 😀 I am glad that your brother was able to save and adopt that kitty 😀

  40. i got one in the cabinet

    no really. for realsies.

  41. First person to post a pic of their cat looking at these cats wins the internets.

  42. whoever does the foley on these things is a frippen gee-nyuss.

  43. I was just about to say that!!
45minute drive is a long way inside the engine compartment, but its not a long distance! They should have taken the kitty back, the fact he got out doesnt mean he’s homeless…!
Yay for ‘rescutes’ but it’s not a rescue if they don’t try to find his home first…

    This kind of makes me sad… ;__;

  44. Guinea Peeg Lover says:

But after someone does that, someone else needs to post a picture of their cat looking at that cat looking at THOSE cats. That person wins THE WORLD.

  45. Guinea Peeg Lover says:

    Is it a corn dog?

  46. I know…I know…..waving pom poms…..

    Its a Catillac Escalade……

  47. You need the Infinate Cat project…. http://www.infinitecat.com/

    Enjoy 🙂

  48. Hubby is tiling the kitchen this weekend. While this project is going on, the glass-topped stove has been moved into the dining room area (which is really just the nexus where the kitchen and the living room meet). Murphy has made this his cool oasis. I’ve informed him that once the stove is moved back into the kitchen, he may no longer lie upon it, but he just gives me that “I don’t speak English” look.

  49. bob drummond says:

Thank you Carrie , I “tuned in” to the infinite cat and I absolutely loved it !!!!

  50. Me too. 😦

  51. Oh, man! Now there’s a NEW site I will need to bookmark and check daily! Love the cat-related quotes from famous people on this site!
