  5. Meg, this post appears twice. It’s very Dept. of Redundancy Dept. and all but I’m thinking maybe you didn’t intend for it to appear twice….

  6. i’m in…..for the wall version…and if i can get rid of the “work” on my desk, maybe the desk version as well….!

  19. im in Bangkok – Thailand. it’s possible to order one, right?

  20. I was kind of disappointed with my 2011 edition. The 2009 edition was a huge hit in my office, but 2011 was not as cute and the captions were kind of lame. I will give you ONE MORE TRY.

  21. Not That Mike The Other Mike says:

We’re grateful for the feedback, as well as the extra chance. I did more of the writing on the 2012 calendar than past editions — that’s either good or bad news, depending on one’s perspective. ;) In either case, we hope you’ll enjoy the calendar.

  22. Well, I thought the 2011 calendar was fine…

  23. Not that the 2012 calendar won’t be awesome, too, with all that Not Mike (or whatever your name is) goodness in it. Just sayin’.

  24. Not That Mike The Other Mike says:

It should be, but if you have difficulties, please post about them here and we will investigate. If Amazon.com is not helpful, you may want to try ordering from Amazon’s Japan site instead.

  25. My only problem were the animals in racks photos… in my office those don’t really fly at all, so I had to skip and trash those days altogether each time, that was rather sad. Here’s hoping less of that on this edition so I can really enjoy each day this time lol.

  26. I was given one as a gift – and what a great gift it is! A bona fide block of pure, genuine, concentrated CO!
::modestycoff::And, there are the pages with captions I inspired::modestycoff::

  27. Not That Mike The Other Mike says:

Good feedback, thanks. There are no “n’ Racks” pages in the 2012 edition, but this may have been due only to the lack of suitable photos. We’re assembling photos for the 2013 edition now, so your insight is helpful.

  28. I just ordered mine through Amazon.com, I can never find this one in the stores!
    Can’t wait!!

  29. TrixandSam says:

I ordered the 2010 page-a-day but passed on the 2011 because the print quality of the 2010 was poor. I don’t think the printer did a very good job of adjusting the output for the paper stock, resulting in muddy colors and lost details in the dark areas of the photos and blown out details in the highlights.

How does the 2012 page-a-day calendar look? I’m willing to take a risk because I love the calendar so much.

  30. We DEMAND more Goose!

No, actually, we grovelingly beg for more Goose.

  31. You are the consummate CO professional, NTMTOM.
    *hats off and deep bow*

  32. victoreia says:

*huge sigh* [in little-kid voice] Is it here yet?

  33. Not That Mike The Other Mike says:

I’m taking my first look through my file copy of the Page-a-Day calendar (it just arrived), and I think for the most part, the printing is pretty crisp and the colors are clear. The issue we have every year is that we use snapshot-quality images instead of professionally-lit studio photography. So even though the animals are all cute, there are sometimes dark shadows or areas overlit with flash, and we can only do so much to compensate for these issues.

For 2012, Meg brought a new person on the team whose sole job is to wrangle photos and prep them for printing, and she’s been doing a great job.

  34. Funny…I was off yesterday so when I got to work today I kept yesterday’s “Chastity Ferret” up because I thought he was cuter than today’s puppy. My only complaint is the the pages don’t always rip off cleanly so I won’t have a perfect strip of glue at the end of the year like I did last year. (I’m easily amused.)

  35. I’ve ordered mine. *happy dance*

  36. Is there a mistake in the front or does it actually miss 29th February? Next year has 366 days:)

    yours sincerely,

    boring nerd

ps. I’m going to buy it nevertheless:D

  37. Thank you. I’ll try :)

  38. TrixandSam says:

That’s exactly what’s needed!! Thanks NTMTOM! My order for the 2012 is getting placed today.

  39. Hi TrixandSam, I haven’t seen the 2010 calendar but I can tell you that all of the photos in the 2012 calendar have been vetted for proper quality, resolution and color-corrected. I’m a professional photo editor and have been color-correcting all of the photos for the 2012 and 2013 calendars and most of the photos that you see on the website too. There’s always some quality loss when the ink goes to the paper, depending on the paper stock. However, I just received the 2012 calendars yesterday and I can tell you that I’m quite happy with the quality and appearance of the photos. Having worked for National Geographic I have high standards and I think both the wall and page-a-day calendars look great.

  40. baby birdie says:

    NEED!!!

  41. Not That Mike The Other Mike says:

Both the page-a-day and wall calendars do have a Feb. 29 space for Leap Year. The error is only in the cover artwork, and we hope to get this corrected in later printings.

  42. luvstehQte says:

i laughed out loud at your comment! i thought i was the only one who loved that perfect strip of glue!!! maybe we were separated at birth…do you have super flexible-grippy toes and an obsession with lip balm too?
