Want.
THAT’s the desired objective/ result of any SUCCESSFUL Bento creation!
That looks good….. I want some too!
Groovy!!!!
*shimmies pompoms enthusiastically for the use of psychedelic terminology*
is it lunch time yet ???
perfect solution for those pesky “omg so cute I could pop you in my mouf but I caaaaan’t because that’d be weird” problems – mold its likeness into sticky rice and chomp away!
That charaben stuff looks amazing but I can’t imagine taking the time to do that everyday.
Heck, my mother’s idea of ‘special’ sandwiches was cutting them on the diagonal. I do remember my father though using cookie cutters one time for my birthday party.
Agreed! Life’s too short to make bento boxes. Non-cute.
Remember being told not to play with your food…?
I thought the same thing. This makes it really hard.
Loving this! If a bento place opens up here, I’ll be a bento customer.
There goes part of my rento-o money.
I would keep in mind though that bento doesn’t neccessarily mean fun rice and cold cut figures with imaginative seaweed silhouettes.
This stuff apparently started with mothers trying to entice their kids to eat their homemade lunches.
I want some! I want some! I want to make some but no time! I want some one to make them for me! I want some!
That really sums it all up, doesn’t it?
O look!!! It’s the White Rabbit from Alice in Wonderland!!!
["I'm late!! I'm late!!! for a very important date!!"]
Thanks CO, new obsession for the evening!
Wow. All I can make are those octopus hotdogs. This is amazing.
I don’t imagine Linda McCartney would have been a fan of these lunches. After all she wouldn’t eat anything with a face. Come to think of it, I find this rather creepy. I don’t want my lunch looking at me.
I ordered a fish special on holiday abroad once. I got a plate of delicious assorted fish pieces with no faces, arranged around a centrepiece consisting of ……. a large fish head……. balanced on its cut end…. with all its scales… fins…. gills….. eyes….. lips…. teeth……
I still wake up screaming.
Ah, gawds! Now I have that “fish heads” ditty in my head! *wails* What a terrible earworm!
Victoreia — in related news, evidently, in 1993, Rolling Stone Magazine listed “FishHeads” as one of the Top 100 Videos of all time……Hope it won’t ruin your weekend ….
More amazing lunch boxes!
Try this one too:

Pictures 1, 2, 3, 4, 7, and 8 look like Pokemon characters.
That’s ‘cuz most of them are! (I should know, big Pokemon fan.)
These are neat. That’s all I have to say.
I sudenly feel really hungry.
The Japanese have once again cornered the market on cute, this time with food !! Stomach growls loudly in response!
Loooong ago, I was the only kid at the birthday party who didn’t eat the marshmallow rabbit off the cake. Somehow bento doesn’t seem quite like my thing.
OMG I want one too!!! But I have to say that’s only now, when I was litte I would have been in floods of tears for hurting the cute animals!!! I hated rabbit shaped jelly because I didn’t want to hurt it, and I even hated eating boiled eggs because you had to hit them over the heat
!
I meant hit them over the head
