I literally said “Go Puppy!” and clapped a little when he achieved that third step. Such a happy little guy. Luckily, its just me and my kittehs hanging out before work, so there were no witnesses to my outburst. I can’t wait till my baby is born (4 months to go) so I can watch my own little one triumph over tough challenges like stairs. Ack ok now all veclemnt. Darn pregnancy hormones. *snuffle*
You will Love being a MOM .. Well I did anyway.. just remember to soak up every momment they grow really fast and before you know it they will be leaving for College.
Lol at that *gasp* at the first step downward, baby just tumbling down. Also, is it just my ears, or is there some weird echo on the “he’s growing” comment? ..omment? ..mment? …ent? …ent? …t? …t? …?
My immediate thought upon watching this was “I WANNA PICK HIM UP AND SNORGLE THE HECK OUT OF HIM.” He just looks so compactly skooshable, if that makes sense.
I loved how the owner gasped and nearly put down the camera to help at that first stumble, but then seemed to think “He’s alright, he needs to learn”. And then the pup’s leap of joy after he makes it down that last step. Awws all around.
Yes exactly. She had a panic’d momma moment then suddenly reigned herself in, “OMGWAITBABYOh.. okay.. you’re fine…you can do it!”
So freaking cute. I love their little pudgy tummeh’s and cute little tushies. ARGH. Bulldog puppehs y’all slay me.
Seriously I think my parents had to tell me that ‘even if the stranger offers you a puppy you can’t go with them’ Candy.. who cares.. but puppies… ARGH
Thank you Kar – I am sure my Ben would agree with you but once – he was – in a brief shining moment – all plump and chubbular – and so darned cute – he was the one they invented Cuterrific for in my never very humble opinion. I just couldn’t put the lil bugger down I just had to cuddle him – when he became too big for sharing my chair – he used to curl up at my feet and get as close as he could.
*sigh* I’ve been having a really bad morning, and I’ve only been awake for 30 minutes. This, however, put a big smile on my face. Little guy persevering so hard and finally making it both -down- and -up- again! Go little guy!
You guys at C.O. are KILLIN’ ME ! I have about 3 1/2 weeks before we move into a house where we can get a new puppy! I can just hear all the folks saying :
“well just don’t look ” Yeah, like that’s a possibility ! With chub rolls like that on my computer I’m supposed to resist looking ??? HAH ! Like that’s ever
going to happen ! Keep ‘em coming Meg & crew ! The torture hurts SO good !!!

Did y’all notice on his way back up, on the top step he has to take a detour to vanquish a threatening leaf on the left side of the step, before moving on to the top? He’s pretty darn fierce, is what I’m sayin’.

Eh, personally I can suddenly understand why some people insist on carrying their pups under their arms or in their purses.
But, 95% of the dogs that I know wouldn’t put up with that sort of molly-coddling. LIfe is meant to be sniffed, barked at and eventually gnawed.
