The Invaders Are Here!

Ladies and gentlemen, we interrupt our program of dance music to take you to Grover’s Mill, New Jersey, where a pair of alien spacecraft have just landed. The craft appear to emit a Goofiness Ray that affects anyone who approaches…

This all seems so familiar

The craft also emit a musical accompaniment that perfectly captures the mood of aforementioned goofiness! :-)

  4. kittiwoman says:

Yes! The first one! This is ADORABLE! I love the look at the camera–big, scary kitten. LOL

  5. Lol!!! This is really fun!!!

  6. Nikki says:

The music is perfect. It definitely sets the tone of Impending Doom…

  7. Gaz says:

Well if you don’t like green apples, you only have to say so. No need to pitch a hissy about it. :)

  8. Nanners says:

    Whew!! Did Hitchcock direct this?

  9. Gigi says:

How can the human simply continue to film like that? Why doesn’t he do something? Why doesn’t he help instead of laugh?
I mean those apples are green with fright!

  10. patris says:

Where do they find such extra-wackadoodle kittens?

    • debg says:

Oh, like that’s hard! Kittens are born extra-wackadoodle. At least all mine were!

      • Teresa says:

 Now I know what “extra-wackadoodle” means watching this kitty

        • Hilary says:

HAHA! Mine does this ALL the time, had her since she was orphaned at 4 weeks :( she does this, my older 6 yr old cat does too, I call it KITTY GEEK OUT TIME!!!!!! LOL and I can never get the cam out in time, or if I do he looks at me and is like, “What??? Oh, crap, gotta act normal now. ” LOL

  11. Dub1 says:

    Ticking time-pommes!

  12. 260Oakley says:

Soloist Rudolf Purreyev dances with two members of the core.

  13. SheepishKitty says:

I knew it! my sequential art teacher is wrong! Round things are evil, not triangle or pointy things.

  14. JannieWolf says:

My 6 year old cat did this last month with a Banana peel. I just watched like he was nuts.

  15. Emily says:

In Soviet Russia, cat has never seen an apple.

  16. Coco's Mom says:

Ok, now I must get a Scottish Fold. I didn’t think anything was cuter than kitten ears, until I saw Scottish Fold kitten ears. Now those are the cutest thing ever. Oh, and the little kitten tail that sticks straight out.

  17. Fluffy says:

The best part is when Mr. Pouncy Pants stops to take a little bath.

  18. Pinchy says:

Kittens: keeping the world safe from inanimate objects.

  19. Aliens: There is no hope. The beast besets us from all sides. We have landed on a barren desert plateau and we have no supplies or means to escape. All we can do is disguise ourselves as fruit for as long as possible in hopes that the creature will grow tired or lose interest in us.

    • We don’t know how much longer we can emit the Goofiness Ray.

    • Fird Birfle says:

aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand Scottie comes in over the PA system:

“Keptin, she JUST CYANT TEK IT. She’s gonna BLOW, enny minnit now ….”

[and by "she", Scottie meant the Engine of the SS Enterprise.
None of your locker-room insinuations, Eddie Haskell!!!!]

    • Ali-Baba says:

      “They’re…(sniffs objects) uh, green.”

(Bonus points to who can name TOS episode that’s paraphrased from :-) )

    • Theresa says:

      BWAHAHAHAHAHA!

  20. Kate says:

haha. my cat hates apples. he gets so mad if he realizes that I have one, that he’ll slap it out of my hand!

  21. Nicolletta says:

    Ggggrrr….I iz ferocious hunter….gggrrr…..

    • Fird Birfle says:

      :)

      Possible Silly Embellishment:

      “grrrr; I iz fur-rocious hunter; ggggrrr” :)

  22. this reminds me of The Ghost and Mr. Chicken, but rather The Apples and Mr. Kitten………..kitty is as squirrely as Luther Heggs ;)

  23. kodalai says:

Ahh, the music really makes it :)

  24. Kar says:

How can a clip under two minutes beat the last ten spielberg-bay film fiascos in terms of suspense, moodiness and twists? Well, butt and tail twists but still, Shyamalan can only wish to pull this off.

  25. ash says:

LOL omg this is why I come here. pause at 1:07!!

  26. Janelle says:

Oh My! So funny! Lovely colour too. (The apples and the kitty)

  27. Moi, Actually says:

Some of these moves remind me of Simon’s cat.

  28. scarletgunn says:

I love the tail wiggle at .51.

this video and the first one just makes me hysterical with laughter.

  29. Jenn says:

    Love that kitteh!

  30. LPL2 says:

What is it about apples and tennis balls that make cats lose their ever-loving minds? Is it the color (or rather, how they perceive the color) that sets them off?

  31. victoreia says:

(sigh) Eventually they out-grow the “extra” part of the “extra-wackadoodle”…… I miss that phase.

  32. bookmonstercats says:

But HOW did they get the kittayn to do all that in time to the music?

    *Shakes head in wonder*

    • BonzoGal says:

Easy- 10% of the gross profits, 5% of all merchandising, and a personal assistant to bring cappucinos, same as any other professional actor.

  33. Theresa says:

    NTMTOM = Orson Welles!!!

  34. ROFL! That was hilarious!

I love the moment at 1:07 – “I IZ FIERCE KITTY! PH33R ME!”

  35. Alice Shortcake says:

Yes, even in moments of soul-shattering horror kittens still find time to wash their paws!

  36. Red Toenails says:

    Synchronized silliness! hahaha…

  37. Samantha M. says:

I love the last few seconds where he’s cleaning himself then seems to get distracted by his own tail moving. I had a cat that spent the whole 19 years of her life trying to catch the annoying furry snake that followed her everywhere.

    • Fird Birfle says:

and you weren’t sufficiently moved, to set her up in cognitive emotional therapy??

      Signed,
The Neglect of Our Furry Friends

  38. Kathy says:

There is nothing in life like a kitten. They are everything that is good, happy, joyful, frustrating, goofy and hilarious all rolled up into one little ball of frenetic energy (except for when they suddenly drop off to sleep).

  39. wuyizidi says:

Some people become frightened after reading horror novels, for others it’s slasher films, then there’s the impressionable young Emo Kittehsky, who after attending the blockbuster Cézanne exhibit at the Hermitage, became convinced everyday inanimate objects that surrounds him, fruits especially, are ‘pulsating with energy’ (the dark occult kind of course).

    • Theresa says:

BWAHAHAHAHA! He also became convinced that Mont Ste Victoire in Provence was some kind of landing pad! :P

      • wuyizidi says:

Well yeah, that and Château Noir:

“It was built in the 18th century by an industrialist from Marseilles, who manufactured lampblack paint (derived from soot). He also used it to decorate the interior walls and furniture of the château. As a result, he was associated with black magic among the local people, who believed that the château was also home to the devil.” -WebMuseum

  40. JerilynS says:

I have definitely been spending WAY too much money on cat toys… ;)

  41. Jorj says:

This is absolute, utter, without-a-doubt GENIUS. Laughed my head off!

  42. llism says:

Now we know where “green apple quickstep” originated.

  43. LisaL says:

ROFL. I love that the music matched the action puuuuuuurfectly!

  44. HP says:

“I should’ve listened to Bobby Russell,” thought Filius, as he studied, warily, those . . . things . . . that lay before him. Meanwhile, on the crackling radio, a panicked newsreader announced the second straight month of severe drought in central Indiana.

  45. wuyizidi says:

Like his hero Beowulf before him, kitteh knows vanquishing Michael Myers, Jason Voorhees, and Freddy Krueger was just the beginning. They were but juvenile demons. Eventually he would have to confront their little known evil matriarch, the ultimate horror – Granny Smith.

    • dub1 says:

Ah, iz all clear to me now. Iz old Soviet interpretive densse against apartheid (South Effrikan Granny Smiths) by thet famous Russian blue, Igrr Stravinskitteh.

  46. Ruffian9 says:

    I have apples…I could find a soundtrack…I need a kitten!

  47. muchbetternow says:

  48. Gretel says:

Why are there 2 green apples on the bed?
If they need a late night snack, there’s that adorable kitteh to hand!

  49. Alex L. says:

Still finds time in the middle of the epic struggle to notice it needs a clean though.

‘BATTLE, DUN DUN DA DA DA… Oh I’m dirty…’

  50. Empressgoth says:
