Day 45: My unit has been transferred from the ice planet Hoth to the cut-pile carpeting planet Blayvin, in a vain attempt to locate a Rebel stronghold. Alas, after many fruitless weeks of searching, I fear I must return to Lord Vader empty-handed. Also, RQG-49910 was eaten by a giant space kitten, which really sucked.

I have never figured out how to send a pic or video to this site, but I ran into this adorable interspecies snorgling video on YouTube, and it blew me away. The dove is bowing, head cuddling, and cooing to wake up a sleeping cat (obviously they are friends). The cat doesn’t want to wake up, so he gently grabs the dove and mouths him a bit, but the dove keeps trying to get the cat to respond:

Cooing. I think the bowing, head-butting, and cooing are probably “cuddling” behaviors.
I think the bird is just trying to get the cat off the newspaper so he can read it.

How many views is OK? What is the limit? I have watched this dove -n- cat video 4 times in a row (5, if you count having made the family come watch). Isn’t that a bit obsessive?! I think I might need an intervention or something, or to be patted on the head and told that I am perfectly within the normal parameters -at least in CO world!

I just wish I knew how to send an image or video to CO. I used to find a link for it on the front page, but I don’t see one now. Nevertheless, even when the link was there, I couldn’t make the “send” work when I tried to send something to CO.
oh — well — if you’ll excuse my pulling out my OWN Nerdy Spectacles and trying to be Little Miss Helpful –
There are kinda two paths to that destiny.
1: up at the very top of every CO screen you load up, is a little area which says “submeeshons”. That’s Meg-speak and when you click there, an email form to copy / paste an item and also write some description, will load onto your screen. However I find that some computers will see that form, let you fill it out but then my computer doesn’t know how to function with that email form.
2: You can also open up that tab, CUT & PASTE the correct address for submissions (separate from other divisions of the CO Gub’ment) and just use an email form of your own personal email system ….
If it’s of any consolation to you, my Personal Motto when attempting NOT to apply a sledgehammer to all computers in sight, is:
“Computers are NOT nice people.”

Our sainted but late Winnie the Puss, of blessed memory, enjoyed sitting on paper. He preferred the feeling of white A4 paper specifically.
Winnie the Puss used to leave bottom circles on those papers. Mum went through a lot of printer paper back then.

I have owned a ringnecked dove. Yes, they do “laugh”. As amusing as it sounds, after hours you may start referring to it as a wring neck dove. Anyhoos. That is a boy dove and it’s behaving like the kitteh is it’s girlfriend!
Well. Currently, my cat is totally freaking out. I think he’s high or something. Really, he seems to have lost his mind and thinks that everything in the house needs to be attacked. Including my hair and my feet.
And also, his own tail seems to be something that he feels needs to die.
Daisy does that sometimes…I know it is a really bad trip when she starts playing my Hendrix LPs using her claw as the phonograph needle.
