  5. Mary (the first) says:

Does that puppy have a *doll*??

  6. Moi, Actually says:

Well, I’d never capture a video like this because I’d have dropped that camera at about 0.2 seconds and made with the cuddling.
    Love the little belly-button-in training.
Not to mention the oh-so-fashionable checked trousers.

    • mie says:

Oh that’s no belly button on *his* tummy, ifyouknowwhatimean.
Reminds me of a story someone told or I read somewhere (maybe here on CO?). There was a lady who brought her pet ferret to a vet’s office, and in the waiting room she lifted the ferret up in front of her, and in a loud voice told everyone present how her ferret just loves when she kisses his belly button. She then proceeded to do just that. Only problem, ferrets do not have belly buttons. They have *something else* down there.

      • ffleur says:

I don’t know the situation with your story but virtually all mammals have belly buttons because they are born in urtero and have an umbillcal cord. In dogs and cats the belly button eventually becomes a sort of elongated scar hidden by fur. So indeed ferrets have a belly button.

        • mie says:

Okay, yes you are right, and I was sloppy in my writing. What I meant was that they don’t have a pronounced belly button, and what looks like one is something else. :)

          • Rosie says:

But baby animals like this pup have a more pronounced belly button, cos it’s only recently his umbilical cord was cut from there… :-) )

      • ralfast says:

Eewww…on the other hand it makes for one happy….

        Okay, I’m stopping right now….

        Barooo!

      • Noodles says:

Yep, people can be surprisingly ignorant what it comes to normal mammal anatomy. I’ve seen a grown woman mistake her tomcat’s nipples for tumours. A friend of mine once explained to some lady that the curious fold in her 3-year-old dog’s behind was its vulva. :)

      • Angel says:

OMG. Can you imagine the embarrassment when that lady found out about the ferret’s “belly button”? And in public, too. *dies of shame*

    • Shaz says:

      Not a belly button…

  7. Rosie says:

  14. Teresa in KC says:

Puppy fluffiness + puppy belleh + puppy dreaming + puppy sleeping on owner’s lap + puppy has it’s own “teddy doll” = fatally Cute Overload!
I am officially ded from the Qte!

  15. Teresa in KC says:

Hey, it’s my first time being stuck in the moderation lounge! Wonder if they’re serving free food?

  21. *headsplode*

    So! Adorable!

  22. ffleur says:

These people must be breeders because a pup this young would never be away from its mama.

    • Adrienne says:

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. Also, I’m not sure he’s asleep so much as doesn’t have his eyes open yet. Still cute, though.

    • eternalcanadian says:

I checked out the YouTube site for the origin of the video and it does look like it is a breeder that made that video as there’s other videos of puppies and a note “When we photographed puppies, there was always mother dogs near.” :)

  23. S.J. Hartsfield says:

I love Japanese cute videos (cuteos?), because the people talking in the background are inevitably as cute as the animals being portrayed. This puppy is ADORABLE.

  24. chanpon says:

  31. catmom says:

I wounder what the little guy is dreaming about?

  32. tblue says:

I am afraid that I would have inadvertently cut short the adorable puppy voice because I wouldn’t be able to refrain from comforting him in his sleep.

  33. warrior rabbit says:

Aaaaand I’m pretty sure this is a repeat.

  34. Mary says:

I only wish I spoke Japanese so that I could understand what he was dreaming about.

    • bob drummond says:

If u hav the money invest in Rosetta Stone language discs. I hear they’re very good.

  36. Tania says:

He looks like part puppy, part polar bear! He’s one hundred percent adorable, though!

  37. Rachel says:

    *squeeeeeeeeeeeeeee*

  38. JoshN. says:

The long one at 0:20 is the best :)

  39. Nancy says:

Myself I don’t care if this was posted 100 times or who posted it. I was more into enjoying it than making snide remarks. It was adorable so everyone enjoy how cute this baby is and not picking it apart.

  40. flutterby says:

The little puppy barks, yips, and that howl absolutely bowled me over….sooo cute !!
