omg I love the trilling action! arrrrrrrrrrooooo! I wonder if I can join him in puppy dream-land? is a passport required?

  2. Ohhh My! look there goes my heart in a puddle on the floor.

  3. The Japanese are just unfair (when it comes to cutieness).

  4. BikerGirl says:

Duhlecious :))) Want one, want one, want one !! And then neverending snorgeling…

  5. Mary (the first) says:

Does that puppy have a *doll*??

  6. Moi, Actually says:

Well, I’d never capture a video like this because I’d have dropped that camera at about 0.2 seconds and made with the cuddling.
    Love the little belly-button-in training.
Not to mention the oh-so-fashionable checked trousers.

  7. pink puppy-piggy-paws!!

  8. Belinda says:

Awww ‘I am a big fierce wolf! I AM SO!’

  9. 260Oakley says:

I believe this is part of an Oscar-nominated short(s) film.

  10. kimmaroo says:

Puppeh? Or white teddeh bear come to life?

  11. scarletgunn says:

it’s a nightmare brought on by that creepy doll. also, how does she hold the camera when there are fat puppy bellys to rub? tsk tsk!

  12. Shiba: Inudreams!

  13. looks like a honey bear. sounds like a puppeh. *scratches head*

  14. Teresa in KC says:

Puppy fluffiness + puppy belleh + puppy dreaming + puppy sleeping on owner’s lap + puppy has it’s own “teddy doll” = fatally Cute Overload!
I am officially ded from the Qte!

  15. Teresa in KC says:

Hey, it’s my first time being stuck in the moderation lounge! Wonder if they’re serving free food?

  16. Oh the sweet little yips and squeaks!! Heartmeltingly adorable.

  17. This is a rare breed of Dream Warrior Dog, they guard the portal of Dreamland to keep nightmares away from your dreams.

  18. OHMYDOG, I’m officially ded. That little howl at 0:20 killed me. Ded.

  19. cubbybutt says:

    what a morsel!

  20. kibblenibble says:

The yips! The howls! The tiny growlingks!

  21. Ana Félix Pires says:

    So! Adorable!

  22. Oh that’s no belly button on *his* tummy, ifyouknowwhatimean.
Reminds me of a story someone told or I read somewhere (maybe here on CO?). There was a lady who brought her pet ferret to a vet’s office, and in the waiting room she lifted the ferret up in front of her, and in a loud voice told everyone present how her ferret just loves when she kisses his belly button. She then proceeded to do just that. Only problem, ferrets do not have belly buttons. They have *something else* down there.

  23. I don’t know the situation with your story but virtually all mammals have belly buttons because they are born in urtero and have an umbillcal cord. In dogs and cats the belly button eventually becomes a sort of elongated scar hidden by fur. So indeed ferrets have a belly button.

  24. These people must be breeders because a pup this young would never be away from its mama.

  25. S.J. Hartsfield says:

I love Japanese cute videos (cuteos?), because the people talking in the background are inevitably as cute as the animals being portrayed. This puppy is ADORABLE.

  26. Okay, yes you are right, and I was sloppy in my writing. What I meant was that they don’t have a pronounced belly button, and what looks like one is something else. 🙂

  27. chanpon says:

    Head completely asploded. Mission complete.

  28. cellarmouse says:

    belly, belly, belly, belly …

i got a fire in my belly for more belly …

  29. kemeyer says:

i’m fairly certain you’ve posted this video before. i know you look at so many cute baby doggies that it’s hard to keep track – but certain degrees of cuteness – i just can’t forget.

  30. Adrienne says:

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. Also, I’m not sure he’s asleep so much as doesn’t have his eyes open yet. Still cute, though.

  31. kemeyer says:
  32. Ali-baba says:

Yesh! Please have a seat at the bar where Maurice will whip up the beverage of your choice. And for your nibbling pleasure, we have S’mores, chips and salsa & queso, as well as a plethora of crudités! Please enjoy! 🙂

  33. Ali-baba says:

Ear nubs! Ear nubs! Ear nubs! Ear nubs! Ear nubs! Ear nubs! Ear nubs! Ear nubs! Ear nubs! Ear nubs! Ear nubs!
    And did I mention….Ear nubs! 🙂

  34. Fird Birfle says:

Me, to widdle puppeh: “You TELL ’em, Scamp!!!! ” 😉

  35. Fird Birfle says:

wow, they serve “crudites” in the Mod Lounge????

    *is impressed*

  36. cassandra says:

d’aaawwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! he is precious. I lof his ear nubs and his little pawscles, and his tum tum. and the axis of snorgling is totally exposed.

  37. Eewww…on the other hand it makes for one happy….

    Okay, I’m stopping right now….

  38. Yep, people can be surprisingly ignorant what it comes to normal mammal anatomy. I’ve seen a grown woman mistake her tomcat’s nipples for tumours. A friend of mine once explained to some lady that the curious fold in her 3-year-old dog’s behind was its vulva. 🙂

  39. I wounder what the little guy is dreaming about?

  40. I thought crudity was what got you in the Mod Lounge!

  41. I am afraid that I would have inadvertently cut short the adorable puppy voice because I wouldn’t be able to refrain from comforting him in his sleep.

  42. Fird Birfle says:

If I may quote you, back to yerself, re. your comment:

    “HAW!!!!111!!!” 🙂

  43. Not a belly button…

  44. warrior rabbit says:

Aaaaand I’m pretty sure this is a repeat.

  45. warrior rabbit says:

Oh, but I forgot it came with another great NOMTOM story.

  46. My thought, exactly!

  47. I only wish I spoke Japanese so that I could understand what he was dreaming about.

  48. The Pope says:

Yes…the legacy of the Crudites, a fabled tribe of vegetarians.

  49. Ali-baba says:

    Niiiiice! 🙂

  50. victoreia says:

Yup. That was a killer howl!

  51. Pfarful says:

That puppy IS a warm fuzzy DOLL!

    Oh, and beep!

  53. eternalcanadian says:

I checked out the YouTube site for the origin of the video and it does look like it is a breeder that made that video as there’s other videos of puppies and a note “When we photographed puppies, there was always mother dogs near.” 🙂

  54. Copperbat says:

I think that’s a Sonny Angel doll. I have a tiny phone charm version of it. They’re similar to kewpie, but are boy dolls.

  55. bob drummond says:

If u hav the money invest in Rosetta Stone language discs. I hear they’re very good.

  56. He looks like part puppy, part polar bear! He’s one hundred percent adorable, though!

  57. *squeeeeeeeeeeeeeee*

  58. But baby animals like this pup have a more pronounced belly button, cos it’s only recently his umbilical cord was cut from there… :-))

  59. The long one at 0:20 is the best 🙂

  60. I only wish.

  61. Myself I don’t care if this was posted 100 times or who posted it. I was more into enjoying it than making snide remarks. It was adorable so everyone enjoy how cute this baby is and not picking it apart.

  62. flutterby says:

The little puppy barks, yips, and that howl absolutely bowled me over….sooo cute !!

Must stop now and go laugh at my Bucky kitteh who swiped a dress from my closet and is now all wrapped up in it. Anipals, can’t live without ’em!!

  63. flutterby says:

Wow…stuck in Mod Lounge a lonnnng time. Where are the horsdouvers and crudities?

  64. OMG. Can you imagine the embarrassment when that lady found out about the ferret’s “belly button”? And in public, too. *dies of shame*

  65. about being a big guy with a big howl…..:)

  66. i was just wondering the same. maybe doggy biscuits, melks, fluffylar pillows, squirrels, squeaky toys?

  67. This was posted before, right?

  68. This just made me smile on a Monday morning…How many things do you know that can do that?

  69. Julia (the one in BC) says:

Seriously, feel free to post this daily if you like. You can’t have too much trilling baby bear-pup. *prepares to belleh-snorgle*

  70. Fleurdamour says:

Are you sure that’s a dog and not Knut the Polar Bear?

  71. They really take no prisoners.

  72. baby birdie says:

Yeah, they have cute food, (http://cuteoverload.com/2008/08/25/betcha-cant-eat/) cute dogs, (this video was presented as a scary ghost story once: http://cuteoverload.com/2010/10/20/whatever-you-do-dont-pull-its-string/) cute kitten videos, (http://cuteoverload.com/2011/03/03/and-now-kittens-in-bowls/) and cute everything.

  73. tobesograteful says:

Pick him up already–give him a hand!!

  74. Aw, this made my big Akita quite concerned! She even came over to tilt her head, listen closer, and wag her tail at the “baby”!

  75. sure, he’s cute yapping NOW…but when they get older, Shibas dont SHUT UP…(speakin from exp..) lol
