We just took all our 5th graders to the MN Zoo for their final “HOO-ah” field trip of the year. Saw some of these little guys snuggling in their riverside den. One of my little girls said, “Awwww, they love each other!” Priceless.
Since I’m already in Moderation Station, might as well let it all hang out:
“All the animals come out at night – otters, bears, salmon, crabs, junebugs, coyotes, moose, deer, racoons. Someday a real rain will come and wash all this scum off the riverbanks. I go all over. YAY for the MN Zoo! I miss the Bactrian camels. We have elephants at the Oregon Zoo, but no camels.
Not only do I like camels, but I also rather enjoy the word “Bactrian” all by itself ….
