If you do a CO soich for “disembodied head,” you get quite a few entries. I think it’s time for a new tag.

Looks like a Tribble from Star Trek.

  5. Colonel Jenna says:

Is it just me, or is this bun not so much Disapproving, as Vaguely Menacing?

    Fluffcorn! Mini-squeeee!

Just lost one of our family cats to a dog off its leash last night, so I came here for some cheering up. Thanks for delivering.

My condolences :( That must have been horrible.

    • Fird Birfle says:

me condolences to your household, Chandra :(

    • Chandra says:

Thank you for your condolences. She was a little sweetheart, and very close with my parents’ other cat, who came home terrified a couple of hours after the attack and was looking for her all over the house. :( I hope the dogs’ owners have learned a lesson.

    • WendyPinNJ says:

Oh no. How utterly horrible. I’m so sorry.

I am so sorry, Chandra. We get it here. We’re never ready to let ‘em go, even under less shocking conditions. Dante is the big purr machine, and he’ll send you big-time healing purrs tonight.

I am so very sorry for your loss, Chandra. Please give a huge snuggle from me to the furbaby that’s left behind.

    • Chandra says:

Thanks, everyone. Yeah, you do get it. I kind of didn’t want to derail the comments with sadness, but I knew if there was anywhere I could find people who would understand why I’ve been crying for two days even though she was “just a cat”, it would be here.

It’s always hard to lose a friend, regardless of age, race, color or species. We lost a fine young fluffball named Puff under similar circumstances many years ago. I still get misty over here, but I remember her special silliness and am glad I had her for the time I did.

    • Rachael says:

I’m so sorry! What a nightmare that must’ve been. And she was never “just a cat,” she was your sweet baby. I hope in time you’ll keep only the good memories in your heart.

Guinea pigs also make excellent popcorn. And they actually “pop” from time to time when they’re happy!
