Baby ducks will def attach to whatever they see first. Husband’s family has ducks, turkeys, chickens etc. Had a turkey hatch duck eggs and the little ducklings would follow around the turkey everywhere it went. Very cute

Whenever my mother, who seemingly has no soul, sees some picture of some baby bird inside someone’s house, will invariably say “What happens when it starts crapping in the house.” Mom sees all living things as essentially crap machines.
Ha! Does she say that when she sees a picture of a human baby? “Yeah, it’s cute, but wait ’til it starts crapping in the house.”

1. My niece, Fiona, as a baby, looked remarkably like a duckling.
2. When my cousin’s wife was preg with their fourth baby, he told the older three that they were going to have a baby brother, and his name was going to be Declan. One of the twin girls looked at him with that “Dad’s crazy” look, and said incredulously, “Duckling?”
Looks like a white Pom, I’m surprised she isn’t scared of the baby duckling.
I got a baby chick when I was a kid and it would follow our Pom around and the daft thing was terrified of it even if she was 10 times the size of the duckling.
She would run to me and I would have to “save” her from the big bad duck LOL!
