That’s me after watching Jesse the Jack Russell!

  11. kibblenibble says:

She IS so beautiful and silvery. I’ve never seen a cat do that before. Poor tie-tie baby. :-)

  12. Hilarious.

  13. Well what i want to know is how they put the sleep on me.. you know when it is time to get up and they come lay by your head and before you know it you are back in dream land.

    how do they do that?

  14. hrhqueencat says:

MOLOL !!! the head thud got me – poor tired pudddytat :(

  15. chanpon says:

    I think I heard a thud.

  16. Cannot breathe

  17. Martha in Washington says:

Perhaps it vas der votka? (This sometimes happens to me after drinking votka.)

  18. o no he/ she/ it DI-unt!!! says:

Alternative capshon for our consideration: “ker-PLOP!!!11!!”

Also in re. closing text….I think possibly
    it’s an “eye-CLOSING find from Brinke G” !!

In any case, ce(tte) chat(te) est tres beau/ belle!!!1!! AND YAY for “sleppy”!!1!!

  19. Like the cat isn’t funny enough, the wheezy laugh in the background gets me every time!

  20. (The Original) Mel says:

    Cat-nap-tized!

  21. That’s what I said! I laughed twice as hard because the owner stifled a laugh!

  22. I don’t know what’s funnier, the kitty head kerplunk or the human snort!

  23. Face plant!

  24. :-D

  25. Must be a *really* boring show on tv!

  26. Starlinguk says:

I do wish people would switch the tv off when they make videos. I suppose if it’s on all day you don’t notice it anymore.

  27. Can´t stop watching that and giggling over and over again at the head drop. ;)

  28. You take time to turn the TV off or turn down the sound and you miss the cute stuff your pet was going to do!

  29. Not that it contributes anything, but the title of the video means “the cat really feels like sleeping.” My hostess when I stayed in Russia over the summer would often say the same thing about her cat – Fyodor Fyodorovich/Fedya/Feduska (boy, Russians love diminutives) – and how “ему очень хочется кусить” – he really wants to bite! He was a great cat.

  30. bookmonstercats says:

Reminds me of Garfield falling asleep in his food bowl.

  31. I think the background noise adds to the video… I would fall asleep to that guy yakking in the background, too.

  32. lol! omg i’ve never seen a cat do it quite that way before!

  33. starling says:

That would only work for psychics ;)

  34. BelindaRoar says:

That happens to me *all the time*! And never mind trying to use it as an excuse for being late for work! ;-)

  35. That’s the name of my cat! Fjodor! And he likes to bite, achshually… :D

  36. Emmberrann says:

This is also a perfekt description of *heddesk*. Which sometimes happens to me after reading a NTMTOM intro. BTW, NTMTOM, when is that coffee table book happening? PS, I once had a kitten (by the name of Miss Matilda Mae) who used to do this in the middle of strenuous playtime with my older cat (the famous Cool Paw Luke). Luke used to then look at me as if to say, “the kid ain’t no trooper!”

  37. Brinke G says:

once again, all credit where credit is due—Mrs Brinke G found that one at first

  38. It does seem unnatural! The guy has another vid of another cat in “deep sleep” that is somewhat more alarming to watch.. just seems a little fishy that both of these cats belong to the same guy..?

  39. WendyPinNJ says:

Awww, poor kitty is so tie-tie!

That is one gorgeous kitty. What kind might he be? I want one!

  40. EXACTLY like Garfield’s nap attacks–anywhere!!!!!!!!!

  41. My late sweet Stinky used to thud when he jumped down from the window sills, and also make a little “oof!” sound. :D

  42. flutterby says:

I also luff teh markingks on teh puddy tat! The face-plant is awesome…

  43. is it just me, or are the russians pretty good at capturing cute kitties? almost like the japanese?!??

  44. Not me – mine want me up to let them outside!

  45. Same here, ashagato :D

  46. kodalai says:

It really should be made into a GIF and captioned with headdesk :D

  47. Georgiabelle says:

Replayed three times after bursting in surprised laughter.

1st time: To make sure I didn’t imagine how quickly his little head dropped to sleep.
2nd time: To admire his tiny little earsies.
3rd time: To snigger along with the person recording this.

  48. I snorfed!

  49. hahaha! I had to come back & watch this again

  50. Wasn’t expecting that sudden headdrop! Had to stifle giggles at work!

  51. (literal translation) “Cat very wants to sleep” Yay these Russian classes are paying off! :-P

  52. True fact: This is funny EVERY TIME you watch it.

  53. Fleurdamour says:

From workholic Jack Russell to narcoleptic kitteh in one step.

  54. baby birdie says:

Classic NTMTOM–funny accents always add to Cute Overload posts.

  55. Aurhora says:

Ahhhh this gets better every time I watch it! The anticipation… the videotaper’s laugh at the end…The whole thing just makes me laugh so much.

  56. I never saw a cat do this until I got the one I have now. She does it all the time. When she was littler I used to have to keep an eye on her when she was in my lap or close to the edge of something because if she flopped over entirely the momentum sometimes made her roll onto the ground. After you get over how incongrous it is to see a cat sleep deeply, it’s pretty hilarious (once you’ve mastered the one-handed cat catch).

  57. Peasie would sleep in the little hammock between my knees if I rolled onto my back. This made it effectively impossible to get out of bed. If that didn’t work, she would work the reflexology point in my armpit until I went back to sleep.
