Babysitter #63

OMG, where’s Mary Poppins when you need her?!

Sarah, looks like it’s either Chloe’s way or no way!

  1. bookmonstercats says:

The look of *panic* on Chloe’s face is magic.

  2. Aww, poor puppies 😦

  3. don’t let’em out… don’t let’em out…. don’t let’em out….

  4. TrixandSam says:

Chloe’s face says it all: Dear God in Heaven, FTW!!??!!111!!!!

  5. Hon Glad says:

Just a bowl full of kibble, makes the medicine go down.

  6. Up next: Chloe heads into the bathroom to see if there are any mother’s little helpers in the medicine cabinet…

  7. Nanny Pit Bull to the rescute!!!

  8. Reminds me of the time I sat the neighbor kids and made them stand in the corner.

I hope Chloe doesn’t have to listen to what I had to listen to…OTOH, from her expression, maybe she hearing it.

  9. 260Oakley says:

    Crate Expectations

  10. someone needs to start writing the “babysitter’s pup” series asap!

  11. Oh my! If she wags her tail, maybe all of the chew toys will pick themselves up!

  12. Gigi (the original one) says:

    Dear Lord that’s to cute!!

  13. Gigi (the original one) says:

It’s OK Chloe, just keep repeating to yourself:
    Valium is good.
    Valium is your friend

  14. Alice Shortcake says:

*sends Chloe a virtual gin and tonic*

  15. Hysterical! Pit bulls are truly adorable, especially the teeny pupster variety.

  16. That is an absolutely perfect caption for the look on Chloe’s face. Chloe, hang in there, girl!

  17. Ali-baba says:

Peeps – Lucky crossed the Rainbow Bridge this morning. My mom told me that the overnight vets reported he was sitting up and talking to them throughout the night and purred when scritched. When they were getting him ready for pickup this morning he had trouble breathing, and then passed soon after I want to thank you
all again for your kind thoughts and words. I know they will continue to help.

  18. Oh honey, I’m so sorry. It sounds like he didn’t suffer for very long and now he’s at peace. I’m not sure where I saw this (it might even have been here) but I offer you these words of comfort:

Grieve not, nor think of me with tears,
but laugh and talk of me
as if I were beside you
    I loved you so
    ‘twas heaven here with you

  19. Ali-baba says:

Rachael- thank you! I will share that poem with my parents on Sunday- we’re having a wake of sorts for Lucky & that is perfect.

  20. Ali-baba, I am so sorry. Losing a beloved bet is very difficult.

  21. Did any one notice that there is to many puppies in each crate . T here is hardly any room for the puppies to move around in. the crates are made for only one puppie the face on the big dog is funny but there is to many puppies in the crates ;maybe the big dog is trying to say let the little guys OUT!

  22. Theresa, I had completely forgotten about that post! Still makes me smile.

  23. Ali-baba, I am so sorry for your loss. It’s so hard to lose a pet. 😦

  24. Blessings to you and your parents, Ali-baba. Lucky will always be in your heart.

  25. take a deep breath catmom, I think they are just on a trip to the vets for shots and a checkup… and they are up together at the door wrestling so it may look more crowded than it actually is… you know how puppies are. … there is plenty of room in there. But good to point out that a dogs crate should be big enough on a long journey for them to stand up and turn around in it.

  26. Hugs to you and yoru parents Ali baba… it is always difficvult to lose a cherished pet. Take time to grieve… and keep the wonderful memories fresh in your mind.

  27. I love the look on the momma dogs face.. “Four .. I have to babysit four puppies… are you insane.. look at them rolling around in there. Gahhhh!!!!!”

  28. That is a look of panic if ever I saw one.

I Know Why the Caged Pup Howls?

  30. Book # 1, Corgi’s Big Idea!

  31. Lucky was a lucky cat, to be so beloved. Blessings to you and your family, and healing thoughts.

  32. 260Oakley says:

    I love litter-ary references.

  33. …For The Win? :/

  34. Chloe: “My footloose and fancyfree days are deffo over …”

  35. puddlepeppers says:

Ali-baba, I believe you have a little friend waiting for you
at Rainbow Bridge. You are never forgotten. Virtual hugs
    to you and your family.

  36. Mary (the first) says:

I think Chloe’s regretting those few moments of bliss out in the back yard with the neighbor’s boxer.. iykwim.

  37. “Fhat the wuck!???!”

  38. One of my all-time favorites. 😀

  39. bookmonstercats says:

Speaking as a mother, I tend to find my little helpers in the drinks cabinet…..

  40. It’s OK though, sender-inner Sarah tells us the puppies had just arrived to be fostered until they are old enough for adoption at the local SPCyay!

  41. bookmonstercats says:

Heaven is a much better place now, Ali-baba, with a beautiul new silver and black kitty gracing it. He will always be in your heart and I firmly believe in animals living in heaven, so you will see him again.

  42. The look on Chloe’s face is probably because she knows the puppies will be let out.
Chloe is “particularly displeased” according to sender-inner Sarah, who fosters puppies for the local SPCA, just to irk Chloe of course.

  43. 260Oakley says:

Foster pups? That explains Chloe’s “This isn’t permanent, right?” look.

  44. TrixandSam says:

    Thank you Spit King Off-Spring!

  45. I am so sorry, Ali. It’s a wrenching moment, when we have to let them go.

  46. TrixandSam says:

Don’t we all do things just to irk our Overlords?

  47. I’m so sorry to hear this. I recently lost my kitty companion (a couple of months ago)… it is SO hard… please allow yourself time and space to grieve. My thoughts are with you and your family. ❤

  48. damn right animals are in heaven! otherwise I don’t want to go there.

  49. TrixandSam says:

You’re very own Moderation Lounge outpost? I have one of those… no kids though. Just work.

  50. That is EXACTLY what Chloe’s thinking, 260!

  51. How about spinach?
“I’ve hads all I can stands and I can’t stands no more!”

  52. So sorry to hear it, Ali. 😦

  53. oh my! anyone that fosters puppies is a saint!! I used to do kittens, and that was like having a circus in your house – I can’t imagine puppies! Bless Sarah’s heart!

  54. tracylee says:

baahh hahaha just noticed the Impending Doom tag

  55. She will certainly remember “who let the dogs out.” 😛

  56. And the puppies are all “Yay, there’s someone to play wiff us! Let us out!!1!”

    Poor Chloe. Hehe…

  57. Argyle Donkeypants says:

I love the “Impending Doom” tag to eleventy.

  58. Lerrinus says:

    *schnork* 😆

  59. HEhehehe. Who who Who let the dogs out Who who!

  60. baby birdie says:

    Definitely. 😉

  61. Those crates actually look quite large, and sometimes it is hard separating puppies because they don’t want to be alone!

  62. If there aren’t animals in heaven, then by definition it wouldn’t be heaven.

  63. Release the hounds! Wacky hijinks ensue!

  64. Just to clarify 🙂
There’s two puppies in one crate, three in the other, and they had just arrived at my house from the local SPCA, where they had been abandoned but were too young for adoption. Only in the crates for the journey in the car…
My dog Chloe (also a shelter dog) is of course spayed– no backyard hijinks happening at my house 🙂

  65. OMGosh…the stress!!!

  66. I’m so sorry for the loss of your pet, I have lost some dear pets over the years and my last dachshund that died I had her cremated and put in a dachshund eran and every once in awhile I believe she still with me in spirit and I’ll pass the the idea to you that even when they pass you can then remember your pet in the good times
