Stardate 6134.32: The engine repairs are nearly complete, but a complication has arisen. A pair of indigenous creatures have been sighted approaching our ship.

As the massive beasts roar menacingly, the crew scrambles to finish the repairs. Even if we could only restore impulse power, that would be enough to…

Too late! Hull breaches in sections C, D and F! My brave crew is tossed about like playthings, but refuse to leave their posts… Damage reports pouring in…

Now the second beast is joining the attack… My god, they’re tearing the ship to pieces… no hope of escape… all hands, abandon ship, prepare to jettison log… To whoever… finds this message… recommend full posthumous honors for… for all crew memb… xXxx@@rtT)Tqkl%jh +++++++++ TRANSMISSION ABORTED

Rani (macaw) and Kaley (Corgi) by Sandra Chow of SanSanParrots.

“Stan.”
I am happy.
In theater this summer: Close Encounter of the Pet Kind!
OMG, I am weeping with laughter.
I second that Theresa! Great job NOMTOM!
Mike, you Pyrit & Meg are the funniest writers on the Cheeze blogs !!!!!!
Um, CO isn’t part of the Cheeze blogs. Jus’ sayin’.
EPICFAILPOSTISEPICFAIL.
Save yourself…from NOM!
Oh, I so needed this just now. Thank you NTMTOM or NOMTOM or whatever acronym you use. (Maybe NCC1701?)
mmm~ creamy filling.
[speechless with laughter]
Yes! This is just what my Monday needed. giggle!
[In Jack Benny voice] Now, ya know, with a story like that, you just know that NTMTOM has been at it again! We are not worthy, Mike, but keep on doin’ whatcha do! You just made my day a little brighter, despite the rainy rain here. Thankxs!
HAHAHA!!! Silly NTMTOM…
Awesome.
Oh, the horror! Farewell, ye brave men and women of the USS Nerf!
[salutes]
*solemnly begins folding American flag into triangle shape in memoriam of Stan and other Unknown Crew Member*
PS: could an opinionated gal, git an “Interspecies Snorgling” Tag, up in heah???
Love,
Opinionated Gal
A couple of Star Wars wannabes: Chewbarka and Luke Skytalker
Well done, young Padawan.
Fun fact: “Sobaka” is the Russian word for “dog”.
Puppeh looks so soft!
PS: one of my neighbors here saw these pics and was wonderin’ if the doggeh were possibly a Papillon. I gotta say, that made sense to moi? But I see ’tis identified as a Corgi stubby-laig person in the notes ….
That parrot is intrigued…
If you ever do a NOMTOM Cute Overload coffee table book, let me know. I’ll be first in line!
HEHE
You do realize the back of the line is over there ———>, don’t you?
Actually, it’s way, WAY over there—————————————>!
Not a prob, I am pre-ordering mine from Nom-a-zon.com
Yeah, the end of the line is somewhere in Paraguay now, I think. (** not knowing exactly where Paraguay is, I’m sorry to say **)
Hey! Mine has been on pre-order for ages! /pouting/
heh heh
Which one is Stan? I need to know!
I love that parrot!!!!!!!
Me too!!!!!!!
My dad almost had his wallet lifted by a macaw. When Dad realized what was happening, he looked right at the bird, who looked right back at him, and said “HELLO!”
Your Dad sounds like one awesome person. Love the stories.
Such a sad twist on an adorable photo. Too bad the federation shrink ray messed up…
Beautiful plumage…
Clearly a Norwegian Blue, and, erm, Red.
(runs through the Dead Parrot Sketch in my — alleged — mind ….)
I am in love with the third pic, with the parrot checking it out.
“You’re such a liar, Stan!” ROFL.
And long haired Corgi?? Didn’t know I could possibly fall more in love with a breed!
Yep, they’re called fluffies. I own such a one, and they are awesome
It’s obvy the Macaw and Corgi have a fabulous relationship. A heartwarming photo series!
And what about the poor starship crew? Have you no heart?
Damnit Jim, I’m a doctor, not an ornithologist!
*Snerk* The monitor just got sprayed with coffee.
*hands you a rag soaked in rubbing alcohol*
Hilarious captions as always, NTMTOM!
(Is this macaw adopted from a rescue? That would make this story more awesome…)

A gorgeous macaw, and cute pics. But it makes me cringe because doggie slobber is toxic to birds! Please don’t let your bird chew on dog toys or be licked by your puppy!
How do you KNOW that, Carina (as in, from where did that piece of arcanery come – not questioning your obvious knowledge)?
*Amazed*
It’s not toxic as much as it’s very germ-ridden (relatively speaking) and the possible pathogens that can be transmitted could make the bird very sick. Makes one think about all the people out there who let their birds explore their tonsils.
[runs off to brush teeth for ten minutes....]
I am the vp for a parrot rescue group in California. We hear lots of sad stories about birds die from bacteria from being licked by puppies and kitties.
I love to see all the animals get along (one of my parrots loves to preen my dogs and sing to them) but… safety first always when it comes to slobber!
wow — “verreh interestingk!!”
Love the last photo the most where we can see allll the beautiful feathers on Rani. And the expression on Kaley’s face.. the under-the-eyebrows look: “Don’t touch my spaceship/toy or ELSE.” Love it!
NTMTOM! You got the Star Trek perfect. May could’ve used a reference to “structural integrity”, but spot on!
Nice job.
Capn the warp drive definitely f***ed
“Doesn’t it ALWAYS ???”
I canna change the laws o’ physics!
(mutters) “whiner!!!”
NOMTOM, you’re great.
How appropriate! Today (March 22, according to my CO calendar) is Captain Kirk’s 80th birthday. Live long and prosper.
Well, it’s Shatner’s, anyway, which is amazing enough. He’s older than my parents, who knew? Couldn’t be Captain Kirk’s 80th without changin’ the laws o’ physics.
In the first pic, the doggeh is like, “You know what this means?”
PS That “creamy filling”– Oh the humanity! ROFL
Reminds me of that polar bear pic, where one is in the background all shy and the other is face first, in an igloo…”Cream Filling”. Think someone is roasting marshmellows in there?
These two look like adorable BFFs – would like to see further adventures!
Hey exactly what kind of gorgeous corgi is this?
where did you get her?!
That’s some fine comedic writing there! Thanks for the late-night laugh!
