I thought for a minute that this posting surely had to be made by Meg, who, as a recent puppy acquire-er, has surely learned this lesson several times over by now!
Can Cute Overload put up some kind of link to donate to the Red Cross to help Japan? It’s the very least we can do given all the cuteness they have contributed to the world. See, e.g., anything by Miyazaki, cats in bowls, monkeys that go hot-tubbing and deer that eat out of your hands.
– My guesstimation would be that Meg et co might already be checking out those access points. In the meantime, one other poster (I’ve forgotten his/ her name just now) and I both connected some potential donation links, the other day under the little fluffy white hamster pictures. I created my set of searches under ask.com, which somewhat tries to prevent the worst-known spammy/ phishing weblinks … so hopefully those links might be worthwhile. Between both of us, there were perhaps about six different links among the two comments: most were specific to Japan, more than one were specific to cats, etc. etc.

Especially concerning paper things such as towels, napkins, toilet paper, tissues (esp. with stuffs on them). And for some reason, my puppeh has an affinity for pencils, combs, and socks.

the white donut around the neck might actually be the new version of an E-collar, e.g. instead of the cone, a big soft collar to keep bebeh’s head from going to the spay or neuter site and nomming it
