And now, a white, blobbular hamster sleepingks

Meeka is so tie-tie.

You can almost hear the mini honk-shus.

I’m going to sit here and wait for a ‘straaaaaaayche!’

Sender-Inner Lilly, does Meeka fall asleep with full pouches!? Sleeping hoverfacts via Mayo Clineek.

No tension here. Must be nice. ♥

  2. I wanna know what Meeka does to fall asleep. It suure does seem to work for her!!

  3. Golden slumbers kiss your eyes
Smiles await you when you rise
    Sleep, pretty Hammie
    Do not cry
And I will sing a lullaby.

*gives a very soft beep to the spectacular nose in photo two…

Sooooo cute looks like my old hamster Sniffles.

  5. Daniel K. says:

Now that’s what I call breakfast in bed!

  6. Love the little tailio!

  7. Queen of Dork says:

Maybe Meeka must fall asleep with full cheek pouches. Perhaps this is a technique utilized by hamsters to stretch out the pouches for future maximum food stuffage capacity.

  8. I’m amazed that she can breath in that position. Can’t sleep face down flat like that.

  9. Soooooooo much cuteness!

  10. Ali-baba says:

    Wicked whiskers, what!

  11. It’s melting, meeeeelllltiiiing!

  12. Man, it’s Schoolhouse Hovertext up in here.

to lull me to sleep, sleeeeeeeeepy…nighty, night!

  15. Awww, blobbage! Adorable furry pink-nosed fuzzy-footed blobbage!

  16. I always love the informative hovertext over redonk pics. Something about that always cracks me up.

  17. B-b-b-ut …. no one mentioned the luscious hamster ‘tocks in the first pic! I love me some cute, sleeping ham tocks!

  18. All hail the Beatles! Of course, now I have this stuck in my brain. Well, there are worse songs for that … ;)

  19. Yes! fuzzy tocks!

  20. nite nite
    pat pat
[makes sure tucks are all tight]
    ….sweet dreams!

  21. *winces at informative facts*
Welp, I’m doomed. Good-I am falling asleep around the same time!
Bad-that time is around 6am, when I finally lose consciousness from being awake for about 20 hours straight.
I function on very little sleep. It’s weird. Useful for school, but since I’ve graduated…just weird.

  22. victoreia says:

    [waves] Hi, Teho!

  23. How come he so FAT!

  24. kittehgalore says:

    Is not fat! Is snorgalicious!

  25. And be sure to plan your bedtime with your wake-up time using the sleepyti.me bedtime calculator! http://www.sleepyti.me

  26. Queen of Dork says:

And don’t forget to “spring forward” this weekend! (for those who live in a place that insists on doing that time change thing)

  27. beeegirl says:

it’s all about the bum w hamsters, unless they are male, then it’s all about the balls!
but seriously folks, i love a good hamster tail….
    xox

  28. You can feel the softness. I would love to sleep in a bedful of these adorabuhl creatures, all cozy and warm, not a care in the world.

  29. Tribble with feets.

Loved the factoids – read them nightly, and you will fall asleep with not trouble at all.

  36. Sara-bell says:

    *no

  37. Plumpy tocks with tiny feets sticking out!

  38. This is not related to this photo,
but I am sending up wishes and prayers that Maru and all other adorable Japanese pets are safe.

  39. Teho!!!!

  41. MommaMackie says:

I saw a note online, with a picture of Maru and his emergency exit carrier. He was sitting it it, quite happy and unconcerned. The message read that Maru was ready to run if needed, but it had proven unnecessary. He is safe and happy, or was as of last night. Probably still is.
His carrier is probably the most high tech cat carrier/box that I’ve ever seen! Leave it to Maru’s owner to find yet another box that Maru will jump into happily! LOL!

  42. wuyizidi says:

Yes, probably the longest CO hovertext ever. All good advice though. Getting up early would not be a problem if we can just go to bed early. And if you have a cat that wakes you up at 5:30 even if the food dish is full, getting to bed early is really not a problem either :)

  43. wuyizidi says:

It’s hard to tell where his cheeks stop and where his body begins.

  44. IT SO BLOBBULAR.

  45. O No He/ She/ It DI-unt!!! says:

    “Blorp”.

  46. I hate time changes. They make me grumpy… but I hide it really well. ;)

  47. And next on your All Beatles, All The Time station

Everybody seems to think I’m lazy
    I don’t mind, I think they’re crazy
Running everywhere at such a speed
Till they find, there’s no need

    Please don’t wake me, no
    don’t shake me
    Leave me where I am
    I’m only sleeping

  48. Queen of Dork says:

Me too! Other posters are saying that Maru and family are okay. Now I pray for others in Japan who are trying to cope and for those who did not make it and their loved ones.

  49. thank you for the link, Soccer Mom.

  50. i must have this blorpular babeh. i must!

  51. Hallo Teho!

  52. Well, time to regain the day and get more sleep. You’ll find your brain will work even better.

S’funny about those hoverfacts: a few weeks ago, I decided to make sure I always went to be bed at 11 pm in order to get at least a solid 7 hours (I’m a night owl by nature and often go to bed too late) to see if it would improve my moodiness. It has! It’s kind of my happiness project.

  53. Please forgive, but the schnozz puts me in mind of Jimmy Durante. A schnozz like that is WAY cuter on this lil’ hammie.

  54. Haha. This made me yawn.

  55. muttluver says:

Yeh, I was all, “Oh, new post.” *read captions* *look at pic* *check hovertext*

  57. he looks a little bit like a meringue, albeit a slightly underdone, blobby one. gosh what a cutie! i want to kees heem.

  58. puddlepeppers says:

Thanks, Teho. I am ready for restful dreams of fluffy white hemstirs.

  59. He looked like a partially melted marshmallow. You know, when you put them in the microwave for a few seconds ’cause you don’t want to take the time to properly roast them and themicrowave makes them puff up really big.

Stick some chocolate and graham crakcer on that little ham and she’d be the cutest s’more ever!

  60. Queen of Dork says:

Really?! A microwave makes a marshmallow puff up really big?! I did not know this. How big? Oh gosh! I want to see. Thanks Hadley!! :)

*rolls up sleeves and marches with determination into the kitchen to try this out. Crap! No marshallows.* :(

*re-rolls up sleeves, puts on a jacket and marches with determination to the corner store in search of marshmallows for experimental purposes*

hmmmmm. I wonder what other interesting things I could put in the microwave to see what will happen. hmmmmmmmmm.

  61. O NO He/ She/ It DI-unt!!! says:

    *affectionate giggle*

    ["re-rolls up sleeves..."]

  62. AWW so cute!!! I wish I could sleep like that right now…

  63. I hope that there are people in Japan helping the animals out to, I know people need help ,but so do the pets there homes are gone to, and they need food and water to . they are lost and don’t know where to turn! this whole thing is just awful, they not only lost there home, but they lost there owners to. they just need lots of “prayer” and help to get threw this.

  64. O NO He/ She/ It DI-unt!!! says:

Hi catmom — while I myself don’t really have any ability to vete or judge the items rec’d; I did a search via ask.com which does tend NOT to have lots of junky spam/ malware-y/ phishing links. I hope that the overlords of CO will forgive me for any errors in my search or inability to ferret out any problems.
However below is a link to a page. On that page, are listed numerous individual ARTICLE links to specific animal welfare thingies which are also tagged for the Japan tsunami (earthquake). Can’t promise 150% perfect results but if you open up this link, then you can click on multiple individual references/ titles/ links on THAT page when it loadsIf you click on this, later than Sun Mar 13th, navigate around until you locate the page dated 3/13.

Best of luck, peace & well-being to all.

catmom– I just listed something (hopefully) useful here; a link to several possible articles. However for now the Moderation Robot has put my item on hold. Please check back here maybe twice/ day until my item (presumably) might be released from preview by the Cute Overlords. Thanks.

  66. boy, she’s gonna carry that weight, carry that weight a long time…

  67. Yeay, Ashagato! I was hoping someone would catch my reference…LOL. :)

  68. Queenie, Peep Jousting in the microwave works too…

  69. muttluver says:

My counsellor made me promise to go to bed by 11…….. I’ve been staying up past 12. Ah, well……. I have at least a month (or five) of sleep to catch up on.

Be careful where you give $$$. Not all rescues are created equal, and some just scam money when disaster strikes.

  72. Daphne Moss says:

The tailio…the leetle face…whiskers and knowing happy little white hammy all relaxed thinking…I have my snack all ready…doan ebben has to move…
I miss my little teddy bear hammy…wish they lived a little longer.
