Just wait until kitteh starts making biscuits…

    • Teresa says:

Then one carefully removes said paws from chest and place said paws on shoulder to avoid pricking of little claws :D

Thank you for this uplifting post, Pyrit. I assume you got in under(the)wire.

  4. Gigi says:

Awww! I miss the days when my Mia was a baby and used to sleep on my chest like that.

  5. Kar says:

You’re just a little kitty from Kansas.

  6. marthava says:

Kitteh better watch out he/she doesn’t get swallowed up like Priscilla and the sofa.

  7. J. says:

I preferred the other “kittens on racks” shot.

  8. Jenne Frisby says:

I’m having some serious rack *and* serious kitten envy. So cute! So warm!

  9. Noelegy says:

I was sitting in my recliner the other night, watching TV, and Maggie the kittayn was in my lap. She arranged herself into a snuggle configuration, but a few minutes later popped up her head, looked around, and then climbed up onto my chest and re-snuggled. I guess that was more comfurtabuhls. *Ahn*

  10. Kute kitten knaps in kushioned kumfort.

(sometimes you just have to take liberties) ;)

This picture is the best thing I’ve ever seen on the Internet. For so many reasons.

  12. Liebs says:

    Nuffing in 3…2…1…

    *grabs her popcorn*

  13. Christabel says:

My rack is sadly short one snuggly bebeh kitteh.

My fuzzy boyfriend (who is full grown, I might add) loves to sleep in that same spot… Only problem is, he’s much bigger than this little fuzzball… But that doesn’t stop him from trying! I usually end up holding his butt to keep him from sliding off… LOL

    • victoreia says:

*snort* I think my pudge-muffin would try it, if he didn’t already know his mummy wouldn’t like it. (He’s tried the “walking on her head” bit already……)

    • kibblenibble says:

I like how you call him your fuzzy boyfriend. My George is my kitty husband. :-)

    • starling says:

Mine does it when I’m reading in bed (sitting right in front of the book, of course), he can’t do it when I’m sitting on the sofa, then he falls off!

    • Trabb's Boy says:

Holy moly, I thought you meant human boyfriend! Then I thought — that must be one small guy or one huge rack. Then I thought — and he sounds just a little bit creepy too. Then I thought — Trabb’s Boy, you is a idiot.

My kitty used to do this when she was a kitten, but I had to be leaning back quite a ways to maintain any kind of platform for her.

      • pyrit says:

No, not an idiot. I spent a good part of yesterday dreadfully certain that it was a huge hairy guy… nevermind.

  15. Juno says:

Aww, such a sweet, happy, warm kitty. So innocent, and so completely unaware of the nuffing that is to come!

  16. Nikki says:

I’m normally opposed to fur accessories, but I’d definitely make an exception for this little cutie pie! (And cushiony-comfort aside, I wonder if it is being so close to the heartbeat that makes all kitties love this particular spot…)

  17. lizzybee says:

    POPCORN!!!

  18. Janet says:

    OMG! That is soooo cute!

  19. KittyMarthaPoo says:

Ruby slippers = booby sleepers, it took me a minute to get it!

    • ceejoe says:

It took me till now, and you pointing it out, to get it. heh heh… I never worry too much about the word play references I’m missing, I figure I’ll just keep enjoying the cute pics!

  22. Martha in Washington says:

    Envious of Cat AND Rack!

PS This is so timely…my son just finished up the community theater run of “The Wizard of Oz” last night. He played trombone in their orchestra.

    “Booby sleepers” *snerk*

  23. Nicole says:

Ahhnn. Every Cats N Racks post makes me remember how long I have been reading this site and then I get all warmfuzzy and happy

  24. hyura says:

how small is this kitty, or, should i ask, how big is that rack?

  25. catmom says:

What a place for the kitten to fall asleep on , at least he warm! and it soft and padded for him.

  26. Theo says:

So wait, that’s not the way the script was written?

  27. Sarah says:

Now this is a good cats ‘n’ racks pic. Leetle kittie looks snug and comfy and happy. So cute!

  28. buggycas says:

I must say, I am shocked that CO would post this… and no ones complained yet. so much for the popcorn eh? that said, serious kitty envy, I’ve two 60 pounds Pit mixes and when they try to snuggle THAT close, I can no longer breathe. I’ve not had a furry rack warmer since the youngest was a pup

    • Kar says:

My mother once dreamt that she was drowning in a car accident. Woke up and realized the 30 lb cat was on her chest snoring.

    • muttluver says:

I wish I’d thought to do that when my youngest baby was younger. Even she’s too big now, and she’s the small one. I can still plop her on op of my belleh, tho. :D

  29. MudBug says:

    A – Kee -Tee – I – C (snerk)

  30. Copperbat says:

Awww. I wanna be a tiny kitten. I wish someone made a bed that comfy in my size.

  31. Hon Glad says:

Cats always find the warmest most comfortable place.

  32. blair says:

soft kitty, warm kitty, little ball of fur…

    (everyone!)

  33. Laura says:

Man, when my cleavage gets cold, I just settle for a shawl! I should demand a kitteh to warm me up!

  34. Trabb's Boy says:

While my cats have loved to snuggle on all sorts of body parts, I’ve never had a cat that was willing to rest on actual human skin. I always assumed they thought humans were a bit slimy, like humans think snakes are.

  35. hilz says:

WHYYYYYYY are kittens so funny?? I miss when my fluffball was that small– she used to sleep on my chest and try to stick her nose up my nose, haha. But sadly, like pretty much everyone else– I don’t have the cantilevering effect to do that sitting up.

  36. psychethos says:

D’aww. This reminds me of the first night we brought our kitten home. She chose my room for sleeping in, and after attempting various positions she ended up sleeping on my neck. I didn’t get a wink of sleep because I was too afraid of waking her, but I remember being so happy about that feeling of warm weight there.

  37. Gizmo says:

Ahh, now that’s a familiar scene, considering I have a fully-grown cat that still does that to me. She’s little, so even though she’s all grown up, she still fits. That, and for some reason, when I hold kittens, climbing onto my chest always seems to be their first instinct…

  38. Halie says:

haha! My cat Loki loved to sleep on my boobies when he was a kitten too! He has since gotten to be too big, and he’s quite upset that he now has to resign to my lap.
