It’s Disapproval Bunday!

I never thought I’d live to see the day.

If that doesn’t beat all, then I don’t know anymore.

I’ve never heard such utter nonsense, I mean really.

I just don’t know what this world is coming to sometimes.

I’m just happy your father isn’t alive to see this, that’s all I have to say.

This Disapproval Bunday brought to you by Robobobobo, Chelsea T., Carly & Art, Beth B. and finally Little Bay Poo. Not enough disapproval for you? Check out Disapproving Rabbits! Disapproval hovertext quotes by BrainyQuote.

The third and fourth little guys down really need a hug ♥bad!♥

  2. Theresa says:

Those captions belong in a composition by PDQ Bach.

    • HP says:

I was thinking the same thing, but I can’t find a decent YouTube of “Golly, Golly, Oh.” Nine bazillion amateur versions of “Please, Kind Sir,” and “Nellie Is a Nice Girl,” but the one non-dirty song in the bunch has apparently been dropped from the repertory.

  3. (The Original) Mel says:

Slapped unsuspectingly on a Sunday with a mammoth wallop of bunny disapproval. It’s like being quietly judged…to death.

  4. swallowing books says:

The last one looks a little too optimistic for a dissaproval bunny.

  5. Lizzy says:

Third one down: “You never call, you never write… I only GAVE BIRTH to you… but no, no, it’s okay, you’re busy…”

  6. Birdcage says:

I love that big velveteen one. You know the one I mean. Third from the bottom. I’d like to build him a dream house and devote my life to making him smile.

  7. Theresa says:

THREADJACK: Peeps, could you please spare some good thoughts for my Dad (yes, you know, the Spit Bath King)? He’s been fighting a lung infection for while and he’s just gone to the hospital for observation. Thanks, all!

    Theresa

    • kibblenibble says:

Oh, yes, Theresa! *sends good thoughts, positive energy, love, and hugs whizzing through the interwebs bound for Theresa and her dad*

    • Nikki says:

Theresa, prayers and good thoughts are winging their way to you and your dad. Hugs.

    • Queen of Dork says:

Oh my gosh, Theresa! I am praying for your dad. And Theresa, please remember to take care of yourself. If you are stressed out, you need to remember to take care of yourself and be gentle with yourself. Please go to sleep early and often and take vitamins and eat healthy. But most of all, try to sleep as much as possible. Sleeping is soooooo good for the body, mind and everything.

    • O NO He/ She/ It DI-unt!!! says:

Theresa, tell your Da’ that here at CuteOverload,
we all Disapprove of his being ill and that he really should remain available to you. Ask him, who does he think is gonna provide Spit Baths if he should head off to other parts????

ps: sending Good Karma, across the innernets…..

  8. warrior rabbit says:

Hey, I recognize Billy (fourth). He’s been captured doing the Bunny 500 — and demonstrating how not all bunnies are snuggly. That last one just looks like he’s saying “Neener, neener.” Not sure there’s much disapproval. I see glee.

    • warrior rabbit says:

Oh, and Cinnamon, of course, unless that’s Cinnamon’s doppelganger.

And, um, Billy’s been captured on YouTube, I meant. Such a cutie.

      • Michelle says:

Actually, #3 down was Derby, who, sadly, is no longer with us. :(
I remember having seen a lovely photo tribute from his people when he passed. And a shout out to the MD/DC/NoVA chapter of the HRS!!!

Cinnamon’s fur is darker/redder. Also (I believe) Cinnamon only appears on her own blog, and, not even there anymore, as she has retired at the dignified old age of 13.

        • warrior rabbit says:

Yeah, I think Derby’s been featured here before (and we all thought he was Cinnamon).

Also, I made a mistake — #4 isn’t Billy but his buddy Ronnie. But here’s one of Billy’s vids that I mentioned. (He’s a funny bunny.)

  9. Miriam says:

Fourth one down….I think that’s my grandmother reincarnated. Oh wait, she’s still alive and haunting all of us.

The baby bunny perfectly exemplifies the spectacular Rule of Cuteness #48. Squeeeee! Just look at that glorious pink tongue.

  10. Theresa says:

PS: Pic no, 2, Mr, Black and White, there? The symmetry there is totally insane!

  11. Queen of Dork says:

    I just died.

  12. 260Oakley says:

I’m bunderstruck. This level of disapproval is unwarrented.

  13. Nikki says:

While I personally just love this post, Pallina and Pixie, who were on my lap, looked at it, wiggled their noses and hopped off in Complete and Utter Disapproval.

    • O NO He/ She/ It DI-unt!!! says:

Good to be reassured that P & P are still “on the job” !!!!!

      • Michelle says:

I know! I just love that video where Pallina does her chores. My rabbits never do ANYthing around the house. I’ve come to the conclusion that Jersey Wooly is not an, ahem, “working” breed. :p

        • Nikki says:

Michelle, Pallina was easy to train. But I’m still working with Pixie, who is much more stubborn–she’s a lionhead and has a very spunky little personality. We just finished a training session and little Pixie is coming along slowly…

  14. Queen of Dork says:

I wish I had bunnies. I think my cat Albert would disapprove of me, my life, my body, my eyelashes, my nails, my house, my hair, my clothes, my shoes and my soul if I brought home bunnies.

    • warrior rabbit says:

Bunnies and kitties typically make great pals! You should consider it. Albert might love a friend.

      • Queen of Dork says:

Really!? Gosh warrior rabbit. Really? I’m so loving the thought of that. Buns and cats can be cool together? I’m soooooo thinking about adopting a bun. Gosh. I just thought my cat and a bun would = no.

        • warrior rabbit says:

My bunny Radar loved his two friends, Tillie and Petunia (my roommate’s cats). They would take turns chasing each other around. It was like the Gran Prix to the front door and then back again.

        • Nikki says:

QofD, My bunnies love other animals. They get along really well with my mother’s little Havanese dog, who follows them around like a little sister…

        • Annie says:

I’ll also throw another vote in for kitties and bunnies in cohabitation. The rabbit loves chasing the cat around the house. They also like snoozing under the bed together.

        • kisekileia says:

I think a lot depends on the respective size of the cat(s) and bunny(/ies). With a big cat and a small bun, you can get predator/prey stuff going on. But if the bun is just about as big as the cat, it can be just fine.

  15. nismo says:

Look at the frown on that fourth rabbit! WOW! Disapproval so intense, it burns.

  16. O NO He/ She/ It DI-unt!!! says:

Also, if it please the Court, I would like to particularly note
the EPIC amazingness of the MOUFs on Buns/ Pics # 3 and # 4.

Them are the biggest FROWNS I dun evah seen.

    • Queen of Dork says:

*comes back from cute induced coma*

Wow, Oh No. You are correct. I had to go back and look at the pictures after you said that and I must agree, the disapproval in those photos is SMOLDERING. I have just burst in to flame because of those looks.

*poof* (flames) (fire department sirens in the background)

  17. chanpon says:

That 4th bunny is gagging with disapproval.

  18. Jesseeca says:
  19. Bunny Hop says:

4th bun acturally looks utterly disAPPOINTED

  20. RJ says:

I feel like I just received a rather severe dressing-down from the admiralty. A stiff drink may be in order, but not where they can see me.

  21. Andi from NC says:

    The bun – it burns!!!!!

Love the bun tongue – primo!

  22. N. Fritz says:

I still like #2 best… looks like an ancient Greek theater mask of disappointment!

  23. Theresa says:

That second bun with the black markings reminds me of these nature programs I used to see as a kind, with different example of protective coloration– that silly bun reminds me of the critters that had giant terrifying fake faces, someplace other than their actual face. :P

    • Alice Shortcake says:

The first time I saw that photo I was completely baffled. For a few moments I thought it was a previously undiscovered animal with a tiny face and hugely elongated skull.

  24. Theresa says:

Why does everything I post get into moderation? I’m a good girl, guvnor, that i am!

  25. Hon Glad says:

    O soave bun-du-lar.

  26. Mary says:

omg that first one looks exactly like my Aflie
named her after the song alfie and the fact the she loves alf alfa
    dead ringer though adorable

  27. jujube says:

Bun #4 is disapproval to the nth power. If I look at it too long, I’m sure there will be some kind of dire consequences.

  28. thorn says:

    “I’m just glad your father…”
    …wow that’s cold!

  29. Kallisto says:

The second bunbun has really dirty feetz! I disapprove.

  30. Mary Cummins says:

The last little wild bunny with her tongue sticking out is actually from Animal Advocates. Here she is eating a flower.

    • Sharpy says:

a bun what eats dandelions!? i’ll take 700, please.

you really have to watch all the way to the end (PAW WASHING!) for the secrety best part (PAWS! WASHING! PAW WASHING!).

      (\ /)
      ( . .)
      c(”)(”)

  31. muttluver says:

Srsly….. why has NO ONE else mentioned that the last bunneh HAS NO NOSE!!!! It’s like, nonexistent!!

  32. Pam-cakes says:

Oh please oh please, more bunnies! I love that someone posted the real energizer bunny video, I love that.

So for the other bunny lovers- here is some more buns (my buns!), playing, inbetween disapproval

    • Sharpy says:

awesome bunny squeezage action! and the music is waaayy out!

    • warrior rabbit says:

Popcorning, binkying, and floppage (and loppage, too). What more could you ask for?

      • janet2buns says:

@Pam-cakes: I have to say Hazel and Shadow are very tolerant to allow you to clutter up their home with your furniture and to allow you to use their kitchen. Be sure to thank them every day for indulging you thusly.

  33. Art D. says:

Thanks for reprising Derby’s appearence on CO. it’s always nice to see him bringing smiles/inflicting terror to people who may not have as of yet felt his wrath or soft, brown fur

  34. Denise A. says:

    Bunny #3:
“You were expecting maybe BUN-phrey Bogart?!”

‘Cause he does look like him. A lot.

  35. catmom says:

Didn’t any one tell that bunny that it is bad manners to stick out there tongue at people! also who hit that poor bunny and gave him two black eyes!

  36. April's NaNa says:

    - “unwarrented disapproval” haha *snerk-snerk* :-) BTW our bunny got along famously with our kitteh but when the neighbor’s cat wandered too close during outside playtime (supervised, natch) Thumper ( I kid you not) sent that interloper packing post haste!!! >:-)

  37. April's NaNa says:

I don’t know what went wrong.. that comment was supposed to be punctuated with an “impish grin”

  38. Neopatra says:

Bunny Number Two is not so much disapproving as Deeply Saddened and Terribly, Terribly Disappointed In You.

    • O NO He/ She/ It DI-unt!!! says:

Now THAT is somebody who grew up with parents like mine …..

      (ooooooo tha guilt and angst….)

  39. Andrew says:

    The bunstache is awesome!

  40. Anna says:
