This goes in the Hall of Fame of Misheard Lyrics, beside “Scuse me while I kiss this guy,” “There’s a bathroom on the right,” and “I’ll never be your pizza burger.”
I dunno . . . . knowing how hyperkinetic otters are, I’d bet that within an hour this lil’ gal is not only juggling, but she has five plates spinning and she’s started on fire eating. Never underestimate the power and ability of one motivated otter.
what is happening?! this is maybe a young otter working on its shell-cracking technique? but on dry land? i’m so confused!!!
reminds me of a realistic stuffed animal otter i had when i was little, probably from the seattle aquarium give shop. she was in floating-on-back posishe and came with a shell stuck to her chest. definitely a favorite!

Hey peeps! Here are some flowers for you. Especially those of you who are in the grips of winter weather making it seem like the snow will never end. Spring is around the corner! Hang in there! http://www.sgaac.org/images/Wild_Flowers.jpg
Sorry about your pooped out washing machine, Gigi. I myself am doing laundry right now. Hey! Remember that “Maytag repair man” guy from those commercials in the ’70s? He was always so bored because nothing ever broke for him to fix. Well, WHERE THE HECK ARE YOU NOW, BORED REPAIR MAN??!! GIGI NEEDS YOU!!
Oh dear. *tucks Rosewolf into bed with a kitten and a puppy (who get along) and a hamster tucked under her chin. (I can’t remember who came up with that fab treatment for hurt peeps.) Feeds Rosewolf some waffles with maple syrup fresh out of a tree in Vermont and my own (have to pat myself on the back here) freshly whipped whip cream. squeaks away down the hall in practical squeaky shoes and freshly starched and pressed nurse cap and apron*
Thanks! *snuggles critters* And that sounds really really good, those waffles…I may have to come visit you, lol! Now I have to go see if we have waffles…
Hey peeps! The adoption place that I got Albert from just called me on my cell phone TO ASK HOW HE’S DOING! How utterly fabulous is that?! I told her he’s right here and he’s wonderful (although often naughty) and that I wish he could speak human so he could say hi.
I always heard the follow-up is a sign you adopted/bought from a good source, as they actually care what happens to the animals they deal with. On the other hand, I wonder how often – if at all – they might call someone and hear, “yeah man, this dog is awesome; he loves beer and pot as much as me and my friends do” or something like that.
Of course the day the peeps at Dante’s shelter called to say “How’s it going?” I screamed at them “He had fleas and he gave them to my other cat!!!” He did, and he did, and caused a major upheaval in the house. The smug little cheesemeister.
Otter keeps increasing the pebble count to demonstrate his/her amazink dexterity skillz. Neck/tummy coordination combined with paw juggling talent rank in the highest category of Otter capabilities.
Two pebbles… three pebbles…. FIVE pebbles… and with my eyes closed too!
What the frak?! Practicing the back-stroke? Bad dream? All of the above. Poor baby. Me thinks maybe he/she/it was dropped on his head early on… Very cute, but yep, the poor pup looks rather frustrated. Just think, if global warming gets totally out of hand this may be the only way that Otters will be able to do their thing. Sorry – such a downer sentiment!
What the …. is he itchy?
no otters use there chest as a dinner table when they eat in the water so this is practice.
I won’t start the word play jokes or about how I “otter” be doing homework.
Oh…darn.
Hee, it just ottermatically happens!
I think he/ she would be splendid as a sqwyrl belleh dancer ….
[insert uber-cheezy B-movie instrumental here]
oops — “OTTER belleh dancer” –
Yes, that’s quite a shimmy he’s got goin’ on!
I just have to . . .
LOL! I had to watch the clip on YouTube it’s blocked on Cute Overload.
To provocative I guess (insert wolf whistle)
….which makes me wonder, what
[other than an incident of Interspecies Snorglingk]
would result from the union of a Wolf and an Otter????
It would have been better if it hadn’t been looped.
I was about to write that I thought it looked like it was looped… it looked kind of awkward that way. (I agree with you that it kind of ruined it.)
Shh-shhake it! Shake it like a Polaroid picksha!
THAT’S what it says?! I thought it was “Shake it like a paranoid Shaker”. My bad!
“Paranoid Shaker” gets points for creativity and silliness.
I desperately wish the song did, in fact, say that.
O that it were!
This goes in the Hall of Fame of Misheard Lyrics, beside “Scuse me while I kiss this guy,” “There’s a bathroom on the right,” and “I’ll never be your pizza burger.”
My favorite is still from that sitcom The Nanny, instead of a girl with kaleidoscope eyes, its “a girl with colitis goes by”
I thought I was the only one who heard it that way! I felt really silly when I found out what the lyrics really were.
Slain by the cuteness! The kitten pouncing nearly killed me, and now the otter has DONE ME IN!
Hahaha! What’s he doing, just playing? Very cute!
I dunno . . . . knowing how hyperkinetic otters are, I’d bet that within an hour this lil’ gal is not only juggling, but she has five plates spinning and she’s started on fire eating. Never underestimate the power and ability of one motivated otter.
“This works much better when I’m in water. I swear.”
PS Is this an Asian small-clawed otter? They are insanely cute.
Oh see, if she was a LARGE clawed otter, it would be easier to juggle. Darn these small claws!!
Oh crap. That is so cute I almost imploded. I really, REALLY want to pet the glossy neck/tummy fur and then SMOOOOOOCH!!!
what is happening?! this is maybe a young otter working on its shell-cracking technique? but on dry land? i’m so confused!!!

I think that’s what this “play” is. Sort of a training exercise.
There would’ve been an endless Squeeeeeeeeee sound if I had been anywhere near there and witnessed the lethal cuteness!!!!
OK I’ve been painting trim in my house and the paint fumes have gotten to me!! But that was otterly adorable!!!
Sorry just couldn’t resist.
Otters are the number one clowns of the animal kingdom!
I saw this version of this vid a couple of weeks ago.
ROFL… that cracked me up
That was excellent! Thanks for sharing!
what is he doingks?
I had a hot stone massage like that once, only with a lot less squirming. Cute!
Otters like to do this, it’s a dexterity game- balance the rocks on your tummeh.

Thanks I needed that, not having a good day.
Washing machine just died
I always hated it when that happened. My husband would always fix it. I waited thirty years for a new washer.
Thanks for the giggle!
She may have to wait a long time. His name was Jesse White, and he’s dead. (They’ve got a new one, but he just can’t hold a candle to the original.)
Two weeks to pitchers and catchers!
Oh happy day.
YAAAAYYY!
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh! I needed that so moishe! We had almost 40″ of snow this month!
Lol!! Clearly I’ve been missing out. Gonna go outside and try that myself today!
Make sure you’re nekkid.
Roger that. And I’d like to. But I fear the rocks’ll hurt too much! Heh. I lack proper otter fur coverage.
(Note to self: when playing rolling stones otter game must wear thick hoodie.)
“Rolling Stones Otter Game”: Obviously a tribute band.
I LOVE MY PEBBLES I LOVE THEM SO MUCH
lol! fer shure
Hot stone treatment.. this is how animals do it!
Haha, I came here to say “DIY hot stone massage, not as easy as I thought!”
Actually his juggling skills are more impressive than mine.
Ditto, Alice!!
I don’t know, this Otter seems to know exactly what he/she is doing. Prolly Otter juggling is on a whole different level than mere Human juggling.
I think this must be a river otter. His name: Rock Hudson.
*faints from too much cute*
Oh dear. *tucks Rosewolf into bed with a kitten and a puppy (who get along) and a hamster tucked under her chin. (I can’t remember who came up with that fab treatment for hurt peeps.) YAY NURSE STEFFIE, TO THA RESQTE agin!!!!
*fireworks and glitter everywhere*
it looks like he’s having a seizure!!!

That is otterly fabulous!! And thanks for the flowers.
At first I thought he was sleeping and playing with the rocks in his dream.
Neck Rock Juggling. Who knew?
He’s giving himself a hot river rock treatment. There otter be a law against this kind of cute.
Poor baby needs water to float in and shellfish to crack open with those rocks. Oh the neglect! Please tell me there is some water and food nearby.
Otter Bob juggled rocks and dreamed of the day when he could run away, join a circus and put his Evil Otter plan in motion to take over the world.

Ta Da!!!
it’s even better in this verison.
same video translated.
Hee! Adorabuhls!!
Tee-hee!
OMG! That had me in stitches.
Hmmm. My first impression was stereotypic behavior. So sad if it is.
My first impression was that he was tickling himself!
My first impression was alien invasion from the evil otteroid planet of Jugglaron. So sad if it is. ; )
Snerk
My first response was “sea otter practising”.
Let’s face it, if they practised on water, the stones would sink every time they dropped them.
Well, in a way. The video is looped, so he was probably only playing with those rocks like that for a few seconds. Still cute, tho!
That’s not juggling that’s a hot stone massage !
For the record, this video works when getting someone with Alzheimer’s out of a cranky/confused/cranky/confused loop.
Look Ma! Cute otter doing, something, uh, yeah, I don’t know what it’s doing, but it sure is cute!
Aaaaand everyone’s happy again.
I’ll have to try that. I work in elder care and… I know the cranky/confused/cranky/confused loop soooo very well.
I’m convinced, otters can cure anything.
He is like Scrooge McDuck bathing in his gold. My pebbles… my precious pebbles.
Almost looks like the video is being run backwards.
Unfair.
He doesn’t seem to be aware of the gravity laws.
I think… he is using the biscuits and the stone for *exfoliating*.
WINS!!!
I’m thinking hot stone massage….. and really enjoying it.
sad, not cute! he looks frustrated!
I agree with faith…he looks a tad frustrated, but very cute!
“Frustrated”? And how do you figure that? I’m voting with “Itchy” myself.
However, I was wondering whether or not the video was speeded up, until I realized that the background voices sounded normal.
If I have guessed correctly from the background voices, “In Mother Russia, little rocks juggle YOU!”
The background voice can be dubbed in after film is altered?
Still cute as all get out.
Pebble benchpressing!
EEEEEEEeeeeggggh… difficults.
bwah! ees funny.
What the frak?! Practicing the back-stroke? Bad dream? All of the above. Poor baby. stop eeet. please make eeet stop. Eeet is too too much.
I don’t think that’s how a hot stone massage is supposed to work…
this is THE most single cutest video I have seen on this website! I have fallen in love with this otter.
Pretty sure she’s doing this just like we would roll around in a million dollars if we had them!! “my precious rooooocks”
