  3. O NO He/ She/ It DI-unt!!! says:

I think he/ she would be splendid as a sqwyrl belleh dancer …. :)

    [insert uber-cheezy B-movie instrumental here]

  4. Mary (the first) says:

Yes, that’s quite a shimmy he’s got goin’ on!

    • Theresa says:

      I just have to . . .

      • Gigi (the original one) says:

LOL! I had to watch the clip on YouTube it’s blocked on Cute Overload.
To provocative I guess (insert wolf whistle) :-)

        • O NO He/ She/ It DI-unt!!!! says:

          ….which makes me wonder, what
[other than an incident of Interspecies Snorglingk]

would result from the union of a Wolf and an Otter????

      • Greywolf says:

It would have been better if it hadn’t been looped.

        • kzgz says:

I was about to write that I thought it looked like it was looped… it looked kind of awkward that way. (I agree with you that it kind of ruined it.)

      • (The Original) Mel says:

Shh-shhake it! Shake it like a Polaroid picksha!

        • Ali-baba says:

THAT’S what it says?! I thought it was “Shake it like a paranoid Shaker”. My bad!

          • (The Original) Mel says:

“Paranoid Shaker” gets points for creativity and silliness.

          • (The Original) Mel says:

I desperately wish the song did, in fact, say that.

          • Theresa says:

            O that it were!

This goes in the Hall of Fame of Misheard Lyrics, beside “Scuse me while I kiss this guy,” “There’s a bathroom on the right,” and “I’ll never be your pizza burger.”

          • Surrealle says:

My favorite is still from that sitcom The Nanny, instead of a girl with kaleidoscope eyes, its “a girl with colitis goes by”

          • Brigid says:

I thought I was the only one who heard it that way! I felt really silly when I found out what the lyrics really were.

  5. Diane in Los Angeles says:

Slain by the cuteness! The kitten pouncing nearly killed me, and now the otter has DONE ME IN!

  6. Skip says:

Hahaha! What’s he doing, just playing? Very cute!

    • Dash says:

I dunno . . . . knowing how hyperkinetic otters are, I’d bet that within an hour this lil’ gal is not only juggling, but she has five plates spinning and she’s started on fire eating. Never underestimate the power and ability of one motivated otter.

  7. chanpon says:

“This works much better when I’m in water. I swear.”

  8. Theresa says:

PS Is this an Asian small-clawed otter? They are insanely cute.

    • Dash says:

Oh see, if she was a LARGE clawed otter, it would be easier to juggle. Darn these small claws!!

  9. Queen of Dork says:

Oh crap. That is so cute I almost imploded. I really, REALLY want to pet the glossy neck/tummy fur and then SMOOOOOOCH!!!

  10. anner says:

what is happening?! this is maybe a young otter working on its shell-cracking technique? but on dry land? i’m so confused!!!

reminds me of a realistic stuffed animal otter i had when i was little, probably from the seattle aquarium give shop. she was in floating-on-back posishe and came with a shell stuck to her chest. definitely a favorite!

  11. LisaL says:

There would’ve been an endless Squeeeeeeeeee sound if I had been anywhere near there and witnessed the lethal cuteness!!!!

  12. Tori says:

OK I’ve been painting trim in my house and the paint fumes have gotten to me!! But that was otterly adorable!!! :) Sorry just couldn’t resist.

  13. Gigi (the original one) says:

Otters are the number one clowns of the animal kingdom!

  14. Nita says:

I saw this version of this vid a couple of weeks ago.

  15. ash says:

    what is he doingks?

  16. Kathy says:

I had a hot stone massage like that once, only with a lot less squirming. Cute!

  17. virtualjess says:

Otters like to do this, it’s a dexterity game- balance the rocks on your tummeh.

  18. virtualjess says:

Otters like to do this, it’s a dexterity game- balance the rocks on your tummeh.

  19. Queen of Dork says:

    *THREAD GRAB*
Hey peeps! Here are some flowers for you. Especially those of you who are in the grips of winter weather making it seem like the snow will never end. Spring is around the corner! Hang in there! :)
    http://www.sgaac.org/images/Wild_Flowers.jpg

  20. Marie says:

Lol!! Clearly I’ve been missing out. Gonna go outside and try that myself today!

  21. Sarah says:

I LOVE MY PEBBLES I LOVE THEM SO MUCH

  22. Kelly says:

Hot stone treatment.. this is how animals do it! :)

  23. Alice Shortcake says:

Actually his juggling skills are more impressive than mine.

  24. Lorel J says:

I don’t know, this Otter seems to know exactly what he/she is doing. Prolly Otter juggling is on a whole different level than mere Human juggling.

  25. 260Oakley says:

I think this must be a river otter. His name: Rock Hudson.

  26. Rosewolf says:

    *faints from too much cute*

    • Queen of Dork says:

Oh dear. *tucks Rosewolf into bed with a kitten and a puppy (who get along) and a hamster tucked under her chin. (I can’t remember who came up with that fab treatment for hurt peeps.) Feeds Rosewolf some waffles with maple syrup fresh out of a tree in Vermont and my own (have to pat myself on the back here) freshly whipped whip cream. squeaks away down the hall in practical squeaky shoes and freshly starched and pressed nurse cap and apron*

      • O NO He/ She/ It DI-unt!!! says:

YAY NURSE STEFFIE, TO THA RESQTE agin!!!!

        *fireworks and glitter everywhere*

      • Rosewolf says:

:D Thanks! *snuggles critters* And that sounds really really good, those waffles…I may have to come visit you, lol! Now I have to go see if we have waffles…

  27. Matthew says:

it looks like he’s having a seizure!!!

  28. Queen of Dork says:

Hey peeps! The adoption place that I got Albert from just called me on my cell phone TO ASK HOW HE’S DOING! How utterly fabulous is that?! I told her he’s right here and he’s wonderful (although often naughty) and that I wish he could speak human so he could say hi. :)

    • Redbone says:

I always heard the follow-up is a sign you adopted/bought from a good source, as they actually care what happens to the animals they deal with. On the other hand, I wonder how often – if at all – they might call someone and hear, “yeah man, this dog is awesome; he loves beer and pot as much as me and my friends do” or something like that.

      • Theresa says:

Of course the day the peeps at Dante’s shelter called to say “How’s it going?” I screamed at them “He had fleas and he gave them to my other cat!!!” He did, and he did, and caused a major upheaval in the house. The smug little cheesemeister.

    • Rooanne says:

That is otterly fabulous!! And thanks for the flowers.

  29. marmar says:

At first I thought he was sleeping and playing with the rocks in his dream.

  30. marthava says:

    Neck Rock Juggling. Who knew?

  31. Becky, Bubba's mum says:

He’s giving himself a hot river rock treatment. There otter be a law against this kind of cute.

  32. Jane says:

Poor baby needs water to float in and shellfish to crack open with those rocks. Oh the neglect! Please tell me there is some water and food nearby.

  33. (The Original) Mel says:

Otter Bob juggled rocks and dreamed of the day when he could run away, join a circus and put his Evil Otter plan in motion to take over the world.

  34. MoonCatty says:

Otter keeps increasing the pebble count to demonstrate his/her amazink dexterity skillz. Neck/tummy coordination combined with paw juggling talent rank in the highest category of Otter capabilities.

Two pebbles… three pebbles…. FIVE pebbles… and with my eyes closed too!

    Ta Da!!!

  35. bearfoot says:

it’s even better in this verison.

    same video translated. :)

  36. Cambridge Rat Mom says:

Hmmm. My first impression was stereotypic behavior. So sad if it is.

  37. Mudbug says:

    That’s not juggling that’s a hot stone massage !

  38. Jen says:

For the record, this video works when getting someone with Alzheimer’s out of a cranky/confused/cranky/confused loop.

Look Ma! Cute otter doing, something, uh, yeah, I don’t know what it’s doing, but it sure is cute!

    Aaaaand everyone’s happy again.

    • Toki says:

I’ll have to try that. I work in elder care and… I know the cranky/confused/cranky/confused loop soooo very well.

I’m convinced, otters can cure anything.

  39. psychethos says:

He is like Scrooge McDuck bathing in his gold. My pebbles… my precious pebbles.

  40. curious says:

Almost looks like the video is being run backwards.

  41. dfn says:

    Unfair.
He doesn’t seem to be aware of the gravity laws.

  42. I think… he is using the biscuits and the stone for *exfoliating*. :D

  43. Wendy says:

I’m thinking hot stone massage….. and really enjoying it.

  44. faith says:

sad, not cute! he looks frustrated!

  45. Gigi59 says:

I agree with faith…he looks a tad frustrated, but very cute!

  46. Tigress says:

“Frustrated”? And how do you figure that? I’m voting with “Itchy” myself.

However, I was wondering whether or not the video was speeded up, until I realized that the background voices sounded normal.

    • baileysgrandmom says:

If I have guessed correctly from the background voices, “In Mother Russia, little rocks juggle YOU!”

    • curious says:

The background voice can be dubbed in after film is altered?

Still cute as all get out.

  47. barkbark says:

    Pebble benchpressing!
    EEEEEEEeeeeggggh… difficults.

  48. MarFar says:

What the frak?! Practicing the back-stroke? Bad dream? All of the above. Poor baby. Me thinks maybe he/she/it was dropped on his head early on… Very cute, but yep, the poor pup looks rather frustrated. Just think, if global warming gets totally out of hand this may be the only way that Otters will be able to do their thing. Sorry – such a downer sentiment!

  49. eknirb says:

stop eeet. please make eeet stop. Eeet is too too much.

  50. Lesli3D says:

I don’t think that’s how a hot stone massage is supposed to work…

  51. Marz says:

this is THE most single cutest video I have seen on this website! I have fallen in love with this otter.

Pretty sure she’s doing this just like we would roll around in a million dollars if we had them!! “my precious rooooocks”
