I’m pretty sure I would have done the same thing if I’d had watermelon on New Year’s morning. Coolness would have helped the head, sweet melon would have been hydrating (and easy on the stomach) . . . my feathers aren’t quite as pretty, though.
Sometimes I do that to my watermelon too.
