This little piggy went to the jungle, this little piggy climbed a tree…
I am SO going to Cabo next Christmas!
What is this cutey?
*TOO*STINKIN’*CUTE!*
I am ded from teh QT!
But, what IS a Tarsier? Monkey? Sugar Glider? What? Besides adorable and endangered?
….and “green”
Tarsiers are primates — apparently prosimians, which means they’re among the primates that aren’t monkeys or apes:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prosimian
This little Tarsier is toooo precious!! I just want to snuggle wif him and keep him safe. Totally inspires the maternal instict.
Hes not letting go! Made me laugh. “fingies” and then seeing how lol
Tarsier-see they are on the endanger species…:(
Put in zoos when they are nocturnal…errrrrrrrrr
Why not put them in zoos? It’s about the only way not to let them get extinct!
They do know how to change night/day-rhythms in zoos, you know
Oh! You meant the local zoos. Never mind then
I come from the land of tarsiers, the Philippines.
We don’t put them in zoos. Instead they can be found in a man-made forest just about in the same spot/land where they are normally found. They are very well taken care of there.
As for the little buddy’s question, yes indeed, it’s going to rain again my dear. Our New Year will be a wet and cold one.
Now I’m jealous
If you come over here, you can actually get to snorgle a tarsier at the forest! There’s a part of the forest that’s open to the public and visitors can hold a tarsier and have pics taken wif ‘em.
Another Tarsier, check out this guy! Looks just like a Magwai!

You can’t fool me…..that’s a baby ET!
Yup! Endangered Tarsier.

Ebby day….
(we can hangs out at night and bar hop. You will flip quarteres and I will call ‘em and we will get our drinks for FREE because of your natch dexterity!)
Are those toofs or whiskers under his nosicle? Either way, he’s an adorable little fellow.
Whaaaat? So cute, but where’s my CO Extreme Close-Up? Huh? Huuuuh?
…
Yus, too cuuute.
My… [long pause]… preciousssss.
Oh man, I have ONE idea for a comment and you were there first. heh.
Cutest Smeagal EVER.
Boosh bebeh?
So. The Scientific Point of Inquiry here, follows.
Established: cute. green. tropical. Eye capsules = “plink” and “plink”.
Question: does one attach a “plink” or a “pwock” sound effect for each suction cup “fingie”????
[NOTE: PLEASE DO NOT shift this choice of terminology into
use of pedestrian yuck rhyming nasty words.
Let's keep this one in silly or in virtual science mode, pweeeze peeps????]
I think it would sound more like “pwop”, with a bursting-bubbleish sound, as opposed to the “pwok”, which would seem to be more akin to the crisp, irising-type sound.
“plink”
“pwock”
“ka-thunk”
in that order
The “ka-thunk” is, of course, me falling over ded from the “plink” and “pwock”.
Excellent adjustment!
My. What big eyes he has!
oh, the poor creature looks all scared….
Someone probably forgot to put on pants?
I’ve never such a pathetic need for cuddling in my life. Come here little one and I’ll tuck you under my chin and keep you safe.
A tarsier used to be my computer desktop background, f’realz. I’m mildly offended that it’s called “The Survival of The Weakest,” though. The little guy — well, I’m convinced that he’s strong in spirit.
no CO Extreme Close-Up? awwww, c’mon
Stay safe little one.
Tarsiers have the biggest eye size to head ratio than any other mammal.they come out to feed at night and eat insects. They love to gobble up crickets.
I see they start pole dancing quite young in the Philippines, but where do you tuck the dollars?
This is the FIRST site I check even prior to reading my own e-mail. I love how the pictures make me smile, the comments make me laugh, and some even make me SMARTER (thanks for the answers to my questions) And only a small percentage make me wish I had not read them..only a FEW… I’m jus’ sayin’ ..Thanks CO!
endangered what a tragedy, like so many others no doubt~
haha, is it just me? or does the poor li’l dude look utterly PARANOID? hahaha
Is that… Gollum?
Seriously. That’s Gollum.
haha yeah you can see those lil’ cute monsters in our country Philippines.
some of ‘em look awful but still cuddly. most of them are extinct already and Gollum still exists, hehe
