  7. Valerie says:

Hes not letting go! Made me laugh. “fingies” and then seeing how lol :)

Tarsier-see they are on the endanger species…:(
Put in zoos when they are nocturnal…errrrrrrrrr

    • Taemon says:

Why not put them in zoos? It’s about the only way not to let them get extinct!

They do know how to change night/day-rhythms in zoos, you know :-)

      • Taemon says:

Oh! You meant the local zoos. Never mind then :-)

      • Yaelski says:

I come from the land of tarsiers, the Philippines. ;) We don’t put them in zoos. Instead they can be found in a man-made forest just about in the same spot/land where they are normally found. They are very well taken care of there.

As for the little buddy’s question, yes indeed, it’s going to rain again my dear. Our New Year will be a wet and cold one.

        • Taemon says:

          Now I’m jealous :-)

          • Yaelski says:

If you come over here, you can actually get to snorgle a tarsier at the forest! There’s a part of the forest that’s open to the public and visitors can hold a tarsier and have pics taken wif ‘em. ;)

  8. Itsme! says:

Another Tarsier, check out this guy! Looks just like a Magwai!

So. The Scientific Point of Inquiry here, follows.

Established: cute. green. tropical. Eye capsules = “plink” and “plink”.

Question: does one attach a “plink” or a “pwock” sound effect for each suction cup “fingie”????

[NOTE: PLEASE DO NOT shift this choice of terminology into
use of pedestrian yuck rhyming nasty words.
Let's keep this one in silly or in virtual science mode, pweeeze peeps????]

    • Malinki says:

I think it would sound more like “pwop”, with a bursting-bubbleish sound, as opposed to the “pwok”, which would seem to be more akin to the crisp, irising-type sound.

      • Martha in Washington says:

        “plink”
        “pwock”
        “ka-thunk”
        in that order

The “ka-thunk” is, of course, me falling over ded from the “plink” and “pwock”.

      • O NO He/ She/ It DI-unt!!! says:

        Excellent adjustment!

  17. victoreia says:

My. What big eyes he has!

  19. Kar says:

I’ve never such a pathetic need for cuddling in my life. Come here little one and I’ll tuck you under my chin and keep you safe.

  20. JME says:

A tarsier used to be my computer desktop background, f’realz. I’m mildly offended that it’s called “The Survival of The Weakest,” though. The little guy — well, I’m convinced that he’s strong in spirit.

  21. yogajen says:

no CO Extreme Close-Up? awwww, c’mon
    Stay safe little one.

  22. kross10c says:

Tarsiers have the biggest eye size to head ratio than any other mammal.they come out to feed at night and eat insects. They love to gobble up crickets.

  23. Hon Glad says:

I see they start pole dancing quite young in the Philippines, but where do you tuck the dollars?

  24. April's NaNa says:
