Teacher’s Pest

You know, there was a time when I enjoyed teaching kindergarten. I sailed into that classroom on a cloud of joy, greeted by happy children eager to learn and grow.

And then he arrived. Now they snicker whenever my back is turned, conspirators sharing some unspoken secret. I know he’s behind it all, subtly mocking me without saying a word. I don’t know how he does it, but I won’t rest until I find out.

Actually, Tubby is the chinch in this picture, by Ippo456 of Chinchilla Nation!

  10. AuntieBellum says:

You guys have to make sure your screen is small enough when you come to Cute Overload that you can’t see the photo while you’re reading NTMTOM’s stories. They are so totally worth the suspense and the scrolldown. LOL!

  11. 260Oakley says:

Anyone notice that last block on the right? Little guy is obviously a TeleTubby.

    • Gigi (the original one) says:

I was tying to find something witty to say about those blocks and all I could comme up with is his nomming on the the A is for apple block to keep the doctor away. Once again I bow to the Master of Wit that you are!

    • Suzy says:

I noticed that, but I decided not to comment on tha, because dude, TeleTubbys are freaky and the chinch is totally adorable.

  12. J. says:

  13. Lizzy says:

LOL! Having worked with small (and medium and large) children before, I feel this poor teacher’s pain. However, had I had a chinchi to snorgle to relieve the stress, I feel it would have been much easier to endure.

Also, and I hate to do the hijack-a-thread-with-a-depressing-personal-story thing, but my doggy is having surgery today to remove some rather large stones from her bladder. If you could all just keep her in your warm fuzzy thoughts, I’d really appreciate it.

  14. tracylee says:

    Naughtiness tag, oui?

  15. Mary (the first) says:

I thought the AV at the end with the television was to indicate he’s in the AV club which of course, generates even more mocking and derision. At least, that’s what I’m told.
And hugs to Lizzy and her doglet! I hope he will be fine!

  18. Kar says:

A part of me really wants a chinchilla coat. Except it would have to be a lattice-type that holds live chinchillas who love to snuggle and chirp (or whatever you call that sound).

  19. Bubbles says:

Perhaps you need to give Tubby a real apple!

  20. Andrew says:

    • Brittany F says:

True story time: I work with 3 year olds and one day, they were running in circles like they normally do, only they were shouting nonsense. Eventually the nonsense turned into “Son of Sam, Son of Sam, Son of Sam…” over and over again. I got kinda scared, but I figured, Hey, they aren’t shouting Redrum at me.

  32. Carla says:
