They look like seals after a while

These pups are cutting high grooming costs by cleaning up AU NATUREL!

I love how they slide AND try and eat the snow, Susy P.

  1. Threshique says:

I cant see any pic or video?!

  2. There aren’t any pictures here…. :-(

  3. No video, just white space between the 2 sentences. Halp!

  4. mervtheflamingo says:

  5. Is this a white animal in the snow = blank white space joke?

  6. Do they look like baby seals in front of a polar bear in a snow storm? YES! I see it!!! ;) tee hee hee! Sorry, couldn’t resist!

  7. need a fail tag on this one :)

  8. O NO He/ She/ It DI-unt!!! says:

fairly accurate & on-point, to moi. But then, whaddo I know? not much…)

For me it’s always “The Girl from Ipanema.”

Doop…doo doo do doop doot n-doo….

  15. Which makes me think of “Guantanamero,” which when I was a kid we used to sing as “One Ton Tomato.”

  16. Lewis n' Clark says:

Exactly – I STILL sing “One Ton Tomato”!

  17. me too!

  18. I thought it was “Once in a meadow”…(how romantic!)

  19. My husband is on the “one-ton tomato” bandwagon.

Don’t get me started on what he hears in Mr. Mister’s “Kyrie”.

  28. Oh the suspense!

  29. O NO He/ She It DI-unt!!!! says:

  30. To hold you over

  31. Cricket: a squeeze toy in a sausage body saying, “Squeeeeeeee”!

  32. man, I played this video and my dogs went crazy! The squeeky sound really did something to them… :D

  33. Litterbox r srs bzns

  34. Ohhhhhhhhh……………itty bitty mews! [ded]

  35. Martha in Washington says:

Yes Dear Lady…We DO want to watch them for three minutes…and more!

  36. soooo cute! thank you. nice to see some kitty cuteness, in the midst of all of these puppy posts.

  37. My cat just wake up at the mews, came to my office and is looking at me, indignant, wondering why I’m letting a baby kitten cry like that. He has the temper of a mother cat in a giant eunuque tom.

  38. Ok, I’m ready to have babies now. Every possible mommie instinct I have (and some I didn’t) just came to life.

  39. Ana Félix Pires says:

Argh, no cute! I NEED CUTE! Dx

  40. cyberpunkrocker says:

I see white pups on white backround, what’s the problem, dear peeps?

  41. LOL you guys are cracking me up without the picture!

  42. Lewis n' Clark says:

“Your call is very important to us. Please listen as our menu has changed. Press “1” if you are experiencing a CO whiteout…press “2” if you are still trying to snorgle your computer screen anyway…press “3” if you have already gone into the snickering lounge and require a cocktail…press “4” to hear this menu again”

  43. 3

  44. I will not imagine anything cute. I will instead imagine huge, steel-plated war-hounds lumbering across a pristine field of snow… pausing only to eat of the frozen water before… well, maybe just batting a bit of snow at another dog… and maybe having a lie-down for a moment… and they’re actually all pugs.

  45. I’m picturing a combination of a malbari war hound and Ioric Borenson.

  46. IOREK <333333

  47. I like the way you think ;)

  48. Lewis n' Clark says:”5″ if you are trying get out of the moderation lounge…:(

  49. victoreia says:

  50. O NO He/ She It DI-unt!!!! says:

  51. Was this the result of censorship?

Perhaps we reached such a level of cuteness that it had to be hidden for our own safety, we don’t want to die from Qte dont we?

  52. The pups are “au naturale”. Obviously the pix has been censored.

To protect the children, of course…

  53. Anybody else around in the Moderation Lounge?

  54. It’s fixed !
    Thank you CO !

I made a mustake! Code is HARD!

Excellent commentary while waiting for the video!

  56. O NO He/ She/ It DI-unt!!! says:

    YAY MEG!!

(WHAT mistake? We din’ see no STANKIN’ mistake….) ;)

  57. These guys really cheered me up today! :)

  58. These dogs are loving the sliding! Get them a toboggan stat!
Funny how dogs hate baths but love the snow. (Psst: its just cold, hard water doggies)

  59. The video works! And it is adorable. Labs are SO AWESOME.

  60. Oh my gosh! That is exactly what I do in the snow. Am I being followed?

  61. That’s awesome! They look like they’re having so much fun!

  62. 260Oakley says:

If it isn’t the Ivory Snow babies! What a lovable couple of flakes.

  63. Polar bears do that!!

  64. Oh they are having soooo much fun! I just LOVE this! They are such happy happy pups. What a riot.

  65. I think the “grooming” in question is not self-grooming (“cleaning up”) but rather snow grooming, the kind that is usually done with a large, not cute machine (I live in a ski town). I wonder how long those dogs take to groom an entire run? :)

  66. so you’re saying they’re like little downhill zamboni’s?!

  67. Damn, late for the Zamboni races again!

  68. Usually, this is the machine they use. And this one is for sale!

  69. Lewis n' Clark says:

*Tapping foot* Hello…hello? Anyone else in here? Why do they keep the mod lounge so dark? *One bead of sweat breaks out on forehead*

  70. O NO He/ She/ It DI-unt!!! says:

    Here’s a handkerchief :)

  71. SheepishKitty says:

    new kind of snow plow?

  72. I love it- that’s just pure play right there! I wish I could slide down with them!

  73. Gigi (the original one) says:

We just had our first snow storm in Montreal :-(
Wish I could have fun in the snow like these pups instead of shoveling :-(

  74. I’m a Montrealer too — I’m loving the snow but mind you, I’m snug inside and don’t have to drive anywhere tomorrow morning. LOL

  75. janet2buns says:

Tee hee! Still no snow in Toronto! *Wonders why other Canadians find peeps from Toronto so obnoxious*

  76. We poor Montrealers, buried in snow.
I just hope I get home ok!
Maybe I should try that sliding technique those dogs are using…

  77. OMG! *_* Too cute!
This was totally worth the wait!!!

  78. Holy Cow ! That’s SOOOO much better than snow angels !
I just knew my hubby was trying to teach me how to ski the “wrong way”
(standing up ) the first time . It’s going to be hilarious when I tell him after 25-ish years I want to try skiing again ! I can’t wait to see his face =oD especially when I show him this video !!!! At least this time this super clutz won’t be worried about breaking a leg ! (as long as there aren’t any trees around me .)

  79. This looks remarkably like the times I attempted skiing. Nobody could understand how I got three black eyes in two ski trips. Sticking with yoga now!

  80. O NO He/ She/ It DI-unt!!! says:

PS: Is that WHY they call ’em “skiing TRIPS”????

(similar to having chosen to call the little black thing on the computer screen, “a CURSOR” :) )

  81. I never thought about the “cursor” thing! That’s soooooo true!

  82. You said it x2, O NO.

    Mathlete athlete

  83. Er,

    Mathlete athlete.

  84. Oh, heck, just mentally imagine a “not equals” sign in there. Stoopid interwebz.

  85. O NO He/ She/ It DI-unt!!! says:

    To quote The Meg: “Owsche!!”

  86. Teresa in KC says:

    Ladies and Gentlemen
    Take my advice
    Pull down your pants
    And slide on the ice!

  87. You beat me to it!!!!!

  88. I swear I can hear them go “Wheeeeeee!” No, wait. That was me.

  89. me too!

doesn’t it look like they live in that little house on the slope all by themselves and that’s what they do on their days off as ski bums? like they live at the chalet where all the cool dogs hang out after their rescue team shifts? listening to some choice reggae and chillin’. then someone said, ‘hey, we should roll some fatties,’ and someone else said, ‘yeah, how about dewey and daisy?’ that was sweet!

  90. oh too funny……..great creative writing

  91. thanks mom.

  92. I feel the snow, I feel the wind, but I felt nothing.

  93. Um, it’s a chorus line peeps.
    :( nobody got it :(

  94. Devon in Canada. says:

My goodness, if that doesn’t put a smile on your face then you would have to be the biggest scrooge on earth!!

I wish I could be there with these doggies….

  95. You mean you’re not supposed to slide down face-first with your mouth open?

Dang! I’ve been doing it wrong all these years…

  96. what if a bunch of us spread out and started skiing like that in different parts of the world. i bet the kids would pick it up in no time.

  97. It’s the only way I know how to ski. I don’t even need skis, I just go to the top of the hill and FALL. Very similar fashion to these pups except I haven’t had nearly that much fun.

  98. yup. it’s similar to the way i surf.

  99. Talking of kids picking things up, I walked up the road with one trouser leg rolled up and one down, because my eczema was itching; a few weeks later, the local streetwise kids were doing the same (sans the eczema) .

  100. Are you responsible for the “pants on the ground” abomination, too? ;)

  101. Lol. It reminds me of a todler who’s messed its diaper. I beleive crutch round the ankles round the ankles, stems from prison where they are not aloud a belt, similarly the bandana round the head, although why baseball caps are forbiden, escapes me. If they like prison so much, let them go there and be some hard guys b***h

  102. LOL! that’s a great insight into the new, improved Sansabelt phenomenon*.

the bandana is a replacement for a cap?maybe caps were good for hiding shifty eyes.

i think the other street affectation is the slouching driver who lives in fear of being shot.

*remember Sansabelt? they’re still around (though the website was last updated in 2008.) i like the “Stretch Denim Jeans,” personally.

    cramps my style

  103. oh, the power! i am drunk with jealousy. how can you keep from abusing it?

  104. Wow! they’re really stylee,must tell the bros. :)

  105. Over hill, over says:

And yet my dog is huddled under 3 blankets and has threatened not to go out again until April. Are we sure these are the same species?

  106. i love it!

what about a dog who is not only too cold to go out in the snow but too tired to make his OWN blanket nest?!

he stands there and points at it with a whimpery little paw and waits for me to create his little blankie donut cave.

  107. LOL Sharpy We know who the pack leader is in your house HEhehehehe!

  108. at least he let’s me sit on the couch with him!

  109. This is one of my favorite comments ever: “he stands there and points at it with a whimpery little paw and waits for me to create his little blankie donut cave.”

Our wiener rescue does the same thing, only using pitiful eyes instead of paw. He usually likes to cover only his head and leave his behind sticking out. But he lets us on the furniture, too, so no complaints.

  110. *snort* What a couple of whackadoodles. So adorkabuhls!!!

  111. Lewis n' Clark says:

I hope they aren’t eating the yellow snow.

  112. Something tells me that snow isn’t all that clean. If it’s roll-worthy, it’s got to be either deer poop or dead animal, right?

  113. oh, i’m sure it’s snot.

  114. From past experience, I’d say not nec: something about snow compells dogs to revel in it, even if it is “clean” snow.

  115. Ha! Labs – that ‘splains everything.

  116. warrior rabbit says:

Just checking this thread now, and I have to say it cracked me up. First, the recorded hold messages, et al, and then the skiing tales (or fails). Ahhh… good times. :)

  117. Aww happy doggies!

  118. Martha in Washington says:

Practicing for the 2014 Goggie Olympics obviously! USA USA USA

    Labs are silly! :)

  119. Our Golden Retriever does that too!

  120. heehee. They’re having so much fun!

  121. williams mummy says:

my staffy just stands and eats the snow….he’s soooo greedy

  122. does he do driveways?

  123. Chris Eichbaum says:

Great stuff, made me laugh on this rather dreary thawing morning! Up slip’slidin’ dogs!

  124. Sooooooooooo muuuuuuuuuuuuch fuuuuuuuuuuuun, weeeee!

I’d love to know where this was filmed. Looks exactly like the hill where I grew up! :-)

  125. warrior rabbit says:

    Sugarbush in Warren, Vermont.

  126. Don’t eat the yellow snow!!!!!

  127. ah, I wish we could all be so joyous in life… :)

  128. snorglepup says:

    It’s a lab luge.

  129. If those dogs aren’t just plain having fun I don’t know what they are doing. What a joyful, carefree sight. Thanks for sharing.

  130. That is redonk. :) So cute.

  131. Alice Shortcake says:

For some reason I’m reminded of the skiing scenes in the Beatles film “Help!”

  132. O NO He/ She/ It DI-unt!!! says:

Excellent connection. I say Alice Shortcake wins!!!

    (and the goggies too, ‘course…)

  133. those dogs made me grin like an idiot, i should have so much fun!!

  134. I looooove the fat doggie bellies! No wonder they had such momentum. (The music was soooooo perfectly Benny Hill-ish, too!) :)

  135. They sure looked like they were having fun! (I could see the video fine, maybe it has been fixed?)

  136. I loved the video, but the windows browser at work, is so old, it’s fenestrated and takes half a century to load :(
Last week we had 8 to 10 inches of snow did we cope, NO of course not. No buses no trains no post. I live in the burbs of London, it might as well have been Siberia.

  137. Last winter we had a SPRINKLING of snow (maybe an inch), and it shut everything down for at least half the day. We southerners didn’t know what to do with this funny white stuff falling from the sky!

  138. It amuses me that many younger folks, who have only experienced mild winters (Seven in a row) have got no boots, only thin fashion coats and stand there arms crossed shivering tee hee.

  139. We had 42 inches on the ground at one point last winter and were snowed in for a week (we live on a hill and the SUV 4wd decided to go on strike at the same time).

It was not a normal winter…

  140. THAT! MUCH! SNOW????

  141. Catsquatch says:

Oh wait, these dogs can only pull a sleigh downhill…..

  142. At first I wondered what breed the silleh goggies sliding down the hill were;
then I hooted in recognition: LABS!!!11!! Of course!….and yellow ones at that…..!
my second silleh goofy yellow Lab is sitting at the kitchen counter right now, begging for food, as usual…… (our first yellow Lab was even nuttier….. when we finally got a black Lab, he was so sedate and quiet, we quite didn’t know how to react to a Lab that was Normal…!!!) RIP, my old Labby-Boys…….

  143. i think lab’s are nature’s perfect dogs.

  144. Agreed

  145. snow-snorfling should be added to the X-games for 2011

  146. This vid makes up for all the traffic-horrors the snow caused!
    *likes winter again*

  147. PS: also like the fact that one of my dogs can wear v cute wintercoat when it snows

  148. I can’t believe nobody’s said it yet — this gives new meaning to DOG SLEDDING!!!

  149. That was my first thought exactly!

  150. This video is awesome!

  151. What I love is the way you can tell near the end of the video that the pups are starting to get tired from all that fun. But, of course, it’s a good kind of tired.

  152. What a pair of endearing goofballs. I dare you not to smile!

  153. Marianne H says:

Carefreeeeeeeeeeeee!! GOSH that makes me want a slope and a pair of skis (and a lab :D)
That was just the perfect end to my day, now I go to sleep here in snowy Sweden and dream happy dreams of yellow labs, sliding down an endless hill!

  154. That was worth the wait. Huppy doags! Huppy huppy!

  155. My lab does this all the time. It’s adorable but you get slightly tired of it when she does it for the hundredth time during a walk. Any pile of snow and she’s headfirst into it.

  156. Dogsledding!

  157. JacquiBlue says:

This video has put a smile on my face all day today, I absolutely love it! This is pure happiness at it’s finest!!

  158. LOVE!

This video made my day. I’m not a fan of winter or snow but these pups seem to be having so much fun it made me smile.

  160. I love, love, love, this video. Thank you CO for posting this, it made my day. : )

  161. I love this video, what a way for dogs to have fun in the snow ,there like two little kides playing .it was fun to watch and for them to just slide down the hill I bet they slept good that night I really injoyed there snow sliding it was very cute

  162. Me morí!! que lindosss los bros!

  163. The caption on Youtube terms this activity “body snurfing”. Haha! They are indeed. Perfect.

  164. Most of my wants in life, all in one video! Amazink.

  165. Must be a lab thing … my black lab does the same thing! LOL!

  166. FUN!!!
    I want to play too!
