I was surprised to see it gone, but also quite relieved, for sure. Unlike lots of other posters, I would never say “take it down!” — this is Meg’s site and she’s free to post what she wants. It’s up to us to decide what we view and don’t view, and we had been duly warned. I remain a loyal reader despite the occasional post I may not like as much (we face the same issues on our own site – can’t please everybody!), and I’m SO SO SO grateful to Meg & Co. for the goodness they provide. I can’t count the number of times I’ve come here in desperation in the midst of a horrid day to find comfort, and found it every time. So massive thanks to them for that.

what’s great is that they really seem to be playing? i mean, there’s not much of the flat-eared ready to pounce tension. they just look pretty comfy.
This is hilarious. I thought it was a mirror at first because they were so in synch, but the “lick break” gave it away. And then there were those head slaps at the end, which the other cat seemed to take in stride. If my cats tried this, it would end in a fur-flying brawl.

My cats do this all the time. Sometimes they peter out, like these guys, or sometimes they suddenly decide to amp it up, and run at each other and bump chests like frat brothers!

Thanks for giving details on these cats. Seeing them play with each other in a uniform way may seem to give hope to owners who want to incorporate more play with their own cats.
