Dear CO peeps,
I’m not a celebrity and this is about a cat but I’m not ashamed to threadjack just this once. My best friend Yiska is missing, and I need prayers for him and all lost kittehs everywhere.
Last night he was hanging out in the hallway of my building, his favorite thing to do (he’s an indoor cat, I live in a city but a quieter area) and got scared by a man coming up the steps. Right after that my rabbit started running around like crazy and the cat was running too — BunBun had a plastic bag stuck on him. So I rescued the bun and straightened things up and figured kitty was hiding. When I went to look for him I finally found a screen had been broken through …. he’d jumped out. It’s a high first floor. I was out with a flashlight until late calling & looking for him, and out putting up flyers this morning. I will keep looking of course, but you know how these things are. You just don’t know.

My dog growing up HAD to sit on the drivers lap, even if there was no room. For some reason, I read this quickly and thought that this adorable pup was starring on Broadway. My immediate response was, “how can they see him in the nosebleed section?”

Rooanne – I had not had my two boys long when they dissapeared on sepeate occaisions. I did what you have done with no result, they both reappeared a week later as if nothing had happened, Sid looked a bit dirty, so perhaps he’d got locked in somewhere but Stan looked fine. So hold on and hope and I and other peeps will keep our fingers crossed for you and Yiska XXX

Thank you everyone for your good thoughts. I have been putting flyers around and am going out to look again….. I am in a very large city (Chicago), & there are numerous shelters & animal control, so it’s hard to know which ones to contact. I may try some tomorrow ….
Rooane your baby will be close by don’t forget to try putting out some food near the window kitty escaped from and hang around.
