Three-apple-high doggie looks smug in her knowledge that the fashionista responsible will experience an unpleasantly moist squelch when next donning his/her shoes. Also, the Juicy Eyes Rule of Cuteness gets some action!
Aside: I enjoy photo shoots where the dog is dressed up or otherwise put in interesting scenes. And yet my eyes ache from the rolling if I see one walking around like that in daily life as opposed to only “on set”. Go figure.
Not sure about the handbag…. But Nono is wrong. This doggie looks proud and perky…like my sister’s poodle when she dresses him in a stylish teeshirt or little jacket; you can tell he is all ‘Check me out, y’all! I rock!!’
I have those shoes…they look better on the pup…sigh
I alway wonder why people get so distressed about people dressing up their pets. The pets know it’s just one of their human’s strange quirks and is willing to put up with it for the proper ear scritches.
Good one Theresa! I gotta remember that one next time I need it and O NO, there’s only one original and BEST. That NONO is a cheap copycat who badly needs a nuffer snuffer!
I believe the accessories are actually American Girl doll accessories, you know, the ones that are way smaller and three times as expensive as the actual items. Also suggesting this pooch lives in the house with a child.
LOL!! I don’t know what’s funnier, the picture or the nuffers.
I would not personally dress-up my pup unless he/she needed the protection (Chinese Crested in a Canadian winter is a good example) but as long as the pet is loved and happy who cares.
Live and let live is my motto.
sigh…I’m a little jealous that this pup will put up with painted toenails. I’ve personally never tried, but that’s because my dogs run away when I pull out the nail polish.
And they’re shih tzus, that have long hair that covers their nails.
And as for this dog…well, her body language looks a little put off to me (ears pulled back, tail down) but her ears could naturally go back like that. And, if she was truly unhappy about the situation, she wouldn’t be holding her paws in the sandals.
I would totally wear that outfit. I’m just afraid that it’d look better on her than on me…
I’m really sorry, but why does CO keep publishing images where animals are _used_ like toys or dolls? It really ain’t cute to paint a dogs nails, or to dress ANY animal. It might be that it was the only time this dog had to wear clothes, but publishing the pic does promote the idea that pets are just toys.
Sure, worse things could be done to an animal, but this isn’t right either.
so i guess when my vet told me to cover my dog’s hair loss with a coat this winter, she was secretly trying to hurt and humiliate him? the nerve! i will never subject my dogs to boots when i let them out in the snow, frozen feets be damned!
One of my dogs LIKES to dress up. He gets so excited and puts his own legs into tshirts and stuff. We adopted him – he came like this. Some of you are so judgmental. No one has to explain themselves to you just because you don’t want to dress up your pet.
Ooooh, love the red softpaws.
Nice doggie bag and peticure. But a houndstooth jacket would have pulled this outfit together.
not so cute
hmmm….borderline weird.
but if you’re into this kinda thing….
Doggone make overs a disaster and cost me $40, the noive.
Letting a designer off-leash can lead to accidents – like this outfit – on the (red) carpet.
This is why some pets kill their owners.
if the perp was a child, well,ok; if the perp
wantsa child, itsa little creepy …oops – almost but not any cigar – shouldof used “i” not “strike” …
… but ,then again, maybe the perp has a child and this was a parent/offspring project (thus the child-size props) in which case, HOORAY!
Eeeeek how cute xxx
It is the Week of the Chihuahua!

*waves cheerfully to NONO* Bye! Forget to write!
Also, Oakley and Hon Glad: *leaves Dueling Pun-jos playing*
NONO ..it doesn’t mean HATE DOGS, either, but your quick dismissal does mean IN LOVE WITH OWN AGENDA rather than
thtphthtpththtpthtpthtp
Of all the things I expected people to nuff, this? Really? I had no idea that resting a chihuahua’s feet on tiny sandals constituted abuse.
Cute puppy, by the way. Doesn’t look at all troubled.
Not sure about the handbag…. But Nono is wrong. This doggie looks proud and perky…like my sister’s poodle when she dresses him in a stylish teeshirt or little jacket; you can tell he is all ‘Check me out, y’all! I rock!!’
clarification: “NONO” is NOT “O NO!!!”
(just in case….)
I don’t even have the patience to paint my own nails.
I have those shoes…they look better on the pup…sigh
I alway wonder why people get so distressed about people dressing up their pets. The pets know it’s just one of their human’s strange quirks and is willing to put up with it for the proper ear scritches.
Not a big chihuahua fan, but I would love to dress my little kitty up in the outfit. He wouldn’t like it though I am affraid to say.
“This is why some pets kill their owners.”
Ha ha! That’s what I was thinking. Definately, not cute. Leans way more toward creepy…
Sometimes I wish I could control the content I see on this site. I’m a fan of the candid, not the contrived.
@O NO (he/she/or it) DI’UNT!!!!! – don’t worry. You’re vaccinated against nuffitis. NONO was definitely a carrier, though.
Haute Couture Chihauhau is in your life fashion policing your wardrobe.
PS NON was a ♪♫♪ trolling trolling trolling in the neverending internets.♪♫♪
Oops that was supposed to say NONO
@NONO– don’t let the door hit ya where the good Lord split ya.
The bag is really what pulls the whole look together!
And yes, some animals will do whatever it takes for food–lol!

The dog is cute, but this whole picture screams creepy and not cute. I reminds me of “toddlers in tiaras.” Gross.
Good one Theresa! I gotta remember that one next time I need it and O NO, there’s only one original and BEST. That NONO is a cheap copycat who badly needs a nuffer snuffer!
Reminds me of this guy– maybe it’s his wife?

“You’re my knight in shining armor!”
Where’s the “Cute or Sad?” tag when you need it …
I believe the accessories are actually American Girl doll accessories, you know, the ones that are way smaller and three times as expensive as the actual items. Also suggesting this pooch lives in the house with a child.
I used to dress my cats in baby doll clothes when I was little…. does that make me wierd? lol
I still can’t believe they didn’t scratch the crap out of me….
I miss those kitties.
LOL!! I don’t know what’s funnier, the picture or the nuffers.

@Theresa: Ahh, I love that expression. Brings back memories.
@flutterbye: Nuffer snuffer? Hmm… I nominate the hamster in this YouTube vid I found:

[Pretty darn funny, though.

@doomchild
so i guess when my vet told me to cover my dog’s hair loss with a coat this winter, she was secretly trying to hurt and humiliate him? the nerve! i will never subject my dogs to boots when i let them out in the snow, frozen feets be damned!
that is so wrong in so many ways
Pretty ridiculous!

I’m guessing NONO got the big dee-leet?
yup, @LeAnn, right between the NO’s.
how precious.
@ sharpy – A coat is totally different than painted nails and a handbag.
I’m not saying she shouldn’t do it if the dog is fine with it, I’m just saying, for me, it’s creepy (to this level I mean). ‘Tis all!
@mgo, so i’m guessing sprocket in his frock makes your eyes bleed!
@Sharpy, you understood perfectly what I meant, your exaggeration proved nothing.
i never, ever exaggerate, @doomchild!
My dog’s ears always look like that and he’s happy all of the time.
