Greetings, programs! Time for this week’s look at the newest, thumb-thrashinest video games, and up first it’s Super Mario Ultra Kitty Cart Turbo (Wii, $45.99).
A disappointing entry in the SMUKC franchise, this “Turbo” is anything but, combining sluggish controls and limited speed with a loud 16-bit soundtrack that’s so 2003 (cubicle monkeys, dial it down before you press play). Rating: Two stars.

By the way, the music in the video is from a game on the N64 called “Diddy Kong Racing”, NOT mario kart. Just FYI.

Kyle – Wwell yeah, but he’s riding a turtle shell!… I am, however, impressed that you knew that. Or that I get the Mario Kart joke without having ever actually played that game. That worries me.

That turtle shaped Roomba isn´t very good at cleaning, but great for a kitty ride nevertheless!
It is fun to see the adorabuhl kitteh riding in style on that swanky autortoisemobile. However, at the risk of sounding like a nuffer, that dear tortoise is suffering from serious nutritional imbalances. The “pyramiding” and dryness of his/her shell is a tell-tale sign of significant dietary problems.
This tortoise is suffering, and the shell pyramids are just one symptom. If the problem continues, bones and internal organs will suffer. The shell will never be normal, it can’t be “healed”, but the problem can be turned around and the tortoise’s health will improve with the right diet.
Love the “why am I suddenly moving backwards?” expression on the kitten’s face halfway through!

stormcat~ I doubt that tortoise died from old age, that was a sulcata and they can live up to 100+ years, it may have died from improper care however.
Incidently, that is a tortoise and not a turtle.

i had no idea that tortoises could display ANYTHING about themselves. it's kinda cool that you can read a tortoise shell and learn something about it's health. i suppose that's why they make tortoise shell rims for glasses.

Maybe it’s me but I thought the kitten looked confused because he was trying to figure out the cabbie’s tip.
I liked the way the tortoise paused so kitten could mark the edge of the wall.

Wow, with this music I expected some zaniness to ensue. But it really was just a cute kitty taking a s-l-o-w, p-l-o-d-d-i-n-g, l-e-i-s-u-r-e-l-y-p-a-c-e-d ride.
Well, this wouldn’t be the first family wherein the old & sick got stuck entertaining the kids.
