    Oh. My. God!

Lookit the teensy leetle smooshed face, the ear niblets and the peenk leeps!!!

  2. Nuffer Extrodinaire says:

Oh the horrors! This puppy should be with it’s mother, not served for tea! Don’t you know that if you touch it, you’ll leave your scent? Then the poor thing will be abandoned!

-stuffs pup in mouf and scarpers-

  3. Birdcage says:

    gulp!

  4. Puppy Police says:

Get that puppeh back with Mama right now! Ur else.

  5. silentk says:

Oh… so shiny and new! *sip*

  6. silentk says:

Make that *sip with one raised pinky finger*

  7. BStrange says:

Cats ‘n’ Racks, meet Poms ‘n’ Noms.

You know this tea is ready when it crawls out of the cup. Also, hovertext win: I guess that top one is Captain Pupcard?

  8. JustanotherHeather says:

It’s two different Poms, right? Because then there’s a second helping. Mmm..thank goodness I’m not on a diet. Although I do wonder how many WW points a cup o’ Pom has.

  9. Lindsay says:

    Want.

  10. Lil says:

too small! Back to Mama- she will be fretting!

  11. victoreia says:

That’s exactly how I like my tea!

  12. BabyOpossum says:

    Fancy a puppa?

  13. dub1 says:

Earl Grey Puppon, the result of a happy genetic experiment: some kinda bear/silky pom/otter/bun custom blend.

  14. Pixy Misa says:

    Ehn!

  15. frogboots says:

there is no way that PomTea is ready – the Pom’s eyes are closed too tightly. PomBaby needs to steep awhile longer before the full rich PomTea flavor will be released.

  16. Snoo says:

    Milk In First, I hope!

  17. BStrange says:

I wouldn’t worry about Mama fretting. The pups look healthy and shiny, and wise owners utilize Mama’s need to go for a wee-walk if they want a Mom-less photo op. Though with close-ups that close, Mom Pom could be sitting eight inches away watching the process and you’d never know it.

Speaking as the Supplementary-Bottle-Feeding Bonus Mom of the runts of various litters, which necessitated finding ways to pull off the low-stress picking-upping of tiny baby critters, it depends on the mother in question, anyway. I’ve known a multitude of mamas from mice to horses, and some are nervous, hyper-protective and easily upset (first-time human and animal moms often have this in common), but others are actually pretty comfortable with people they trust handling their babies. Especially if they are experienced moms, or have a litter and are busy with the rest of them – unless they actually see or hear signs a pup is being moved, some don’t even realize one’s missing, which is the best way to go if you can swing it.

Here’s hoping this helps the concerned folks relax and enjoy the cuteness!

  18. dub1 says:

Thanks for the de-nuffification and buzzkill resuscitation attempt, BStrange.

  19. Brandi says:

zomg!!!! who does zis?!? LoL /cuteness Luvs eet!

  20. ViolaDeLesseps says:

    Ooo, pometinis!

  21. Marie says:

One day old? Nah. That’s a bit hasty. I’d wait at least a week before I made pup tea. The flavor needs to be aged a bit.

  22. BStrange says:

You take your tea with milk(teeth), for that extra bite?

  23. Theresa says:

Oh my STINKIN’ GOSH!! I am DED!!!

  24. ffleur says:

beautifully elegant, serve with warm milk please.

  25. Lee says:

You know, until this post, I don’t recall having ever really noticed how much the letter “m” looks like the letters “rn”.

  26. BStrange says:

I think I first noticed that while spell checking an email containing the word “pomegranates”. I couldn’t figure out why it kept nagging me about that word, looked fine to me… I understand the n for m, but how I hit the r I have no idea. I now cannot see a pomegranate without thinking of it as a pornegranate.

I did nit read this post’s title that way. Until now. Thanks for that. ;)

  27. BStrange says:

er… “did not”. Speaking of times a spell check would’ve been good.

  28. Queen of Dork says:

Awwwwwwwww! So sweet! That caused me to swoon. I can smell puppy. (and tea)

  29. 260Oakley says:

    Squeetotaller

  30. Heather and the Boston Terriers says:

I’m afraid my cup of tea has some hair floating in it. :)

I do believe it’s getting cold as well.

(Adorabuhls babehs. Now get them warmed up!)

  31. Queen of Dork says:

*gently nibbles paws and claws in the last picture*

  32. kristie says:

Nooo! Cuteness is forced, not cute! Noooo! Too young, cups are cold, babies can’t regulate temperature well, nooo!

These puppies are adorable, but cuteness should not be staged or forced. No no no… :(

  33. crazy weinerdog lady says:

@Lee funny you should say that about “M” and “RN”. I was reading my friend’s fb page and she’s the sponsor for the jr. high cheerleaders. They had camp and I read her post as this “yeah! We took first place in porn” She actually said pom….as in cheerleader pompoms LOL

  34. Skip says:

LOL, BStrange! Captain Pupcard. Heh heh heh.

I loves me a NextGen reference.

  35. Queen of Dork says:

BStrange: Me and my ex had this GORGEOUS all grey, sleek cat who we got as a kitten and named Picard. He grew to be quite a fabulous kitty. Well, we took a camping/road trip in our VW bus. Sometimes when we woke up in the morning, Picard would be laying on the dashboard of the bus and we would say, “Captain’s on the bridge.”

  36. QoD, that’s fantastic. Picard was my favorite, so…dashing. Mmm.

  37. Queen of Dork says:

whiskers: I KNOW! He was just recently knighted! Now he’s SIR Patrick Stewart.

  38. Queen of Dork says:

Here you go! I hope this works. I hate when I try to embed something and it doesn’t work. You can’t really tell until after you submit.

  39. T.U.M. says:

That sleek little thing is going to grow up to be Mr. Muggles?!?

  40. suz says:

Yikes. The helpless baby animal photos are so pathetic. You’ll never learn.

  41. Queen of Dork says:

    *sluuuuurp. gulp* yummmmm… Earl Grey!

  42. Kris says:

Puppies this young should not be used for our entertainment….
    I am not amused.

  43. Beverly says:

    I love it!!!
I also would love to find out where I can get the china pattern that the precious puppy is in. ???? Any idea?

  44. Donna says:

That is my cup of tea for sure! Love it.

  45. Queen of Dork says:

Beverly: Me too. There’s a neat site called something like Thriftstoreromantic or something similar to that. You may be able to find tea sets on there. I myself love tea sets. I saw the site thanks to our friend Resriechan who showed it to me.

  46. Hon Glad says:

“My god Celia, there seems to be some live stock in my tea, I told you Smithers was
past it, what next a cat instead of a tea cosy!

  47. Queen of Dork says:

Hon Glad: Do you have a tea time at 4:00 every afternoon? I’ve heard the British do that. If you do, can I come over? I’ll bring the cakes. :)

  48. Queen of Dork says:

Hon Glad: Also, I gave something to you on that Doug the koala bear thread. ;)

  49. Hon Glad says:

Hi QoD, I was thinking we hadn’t “spoken” for a while thanks for the Panda, on Utube
it’s followed by granny hits car…. a guy hoots at her she hits the car with her bag and the air bag inflates, I think it’s set up, but still funny.
I do have mug of tea around four at work, but with two rather dull digestive biscuits
(got to watch my sugar intake). At the weekend I dont have time, I was on my vegetable patch from 11:30 till 3:40 today, so lunch was at four.

  50. Bat-Snake says:

It reminds me of the ol’ kitten in the bowl (From “Two Mama Cats”)

  51. Queen of Dork says:

Hon Glad: *heart* :) Thanks! You’re cool! Next time I have a cup of tea at work around 2:00, which I always do, I’ll think of you and England.

  52. Kar says:

I love how those flowers and the china pattern match puppy’s peenk nose and lips!

  53. Samantha says:

    so sweet!

  54. RoseyPosey says:

Aww… pommie-tea. Just what I needed to see today after having to put down one of my kittens last night. Poor little Beanie didn’t even make it to her first birthday. She would have been one in July. Too bad her brothers and sister can;t take solace in cute pictures. They are all wandering around looking under furniture and calling for her.

  55. Fis-kissen says:

Could I have a cup of pup to go, plz? ^.^

  56. Daphne Moss says:

    Sowwy…
T’anks for sharing adorable baby pom…
But l agree that it’s more disturbing than charming to see little one this wee away from mom…and far more adorable to see with mom and sibs…
Putting something tiny in a tea cup…cliche.

  57. Julie says:

I’m all for cuteness, but when I first saw this I too had a disturbed feeling at the thought of putting such a fragile newborn in a teacup for amusement and probably promotion of said pup. tsk, tsk

  58. Queen of Dork says:

Oh good grief. I’m sure they’ll be fine. Things are heartier than you give them credit for. I’ll bet when you were born, some doctor took you away from your mom for a while so she could sleep and put you in a bassinet in a nursery room. And look! You survived!

  59. Marie says:

^^ What no one else is entitled to come here and state their opinion? Correct me if I’m wrong, but I thought this place belonged to everyone not just the regulars.

The comment was kindly worded and no big deal. Some people have softer hearts and that’s A-okay!

  60. KatieZ says:

^^ Agreed. Anti-nuffers just can’t handle a difference of opinion.

  61. Queen of Dork says:

*looking for the part where anybody said no person can state their opinion* Hmmmmm. I don’t see that anywhere. Oh. I just see where people express the thought/opinion that the puppies will be okay and are not being brutalized.

  62. Julie says:

Yikes! Didn’t mean to start a ruckus! Animals are not toys.
And no, I did not turn out okay…I have severe separation anxiety and bonding issues.

    ha ha just kidding!

  63. Yelsel says:

Beverly, you could try sending the picture to the folks at replacements.com and asking them to identify the pattern. They have a ton of old and new patterns. (I’m sticking to dishes and not weighing in on tiny pup in cup controversies.)

  64. Queen of Dork says:

Julie: Haha! That was funny! :) I’m very sorry to sound mean to anybody who doesn’t like the picture. Peace to all!

  65. spb says:

Actually I thought that everyone was on their best behavior in this thread… commentroversyly-wise (is that a word?). It could have been a lot worse.

  66. Jaymes G says:

An update for all those who were worried, the puppies are doing fine, growing how they should. They just opened their eyes. @Beverly, my parent’s picked up the china in Alaska on their 25th anniversary cruise. The cup says “25th Anniversary” on the side and “by giftcraft toronto” on the bottom.
