We danced the Mamushka while Nero fiddled, we danced the Mamushka at Waterloo. We danced the Mamushka for Jack the Ripper, and now, CO, this Mamushka is for you.

  31. Queen of Dork says:

I’m trying to avoid saying things that are off subject but this kind of is as it’s about cats. Me and my cat SamKitty were sitting in the living room chilling when we heard this blood curdling cat shriek from out in the back yard! Holy Crap, was that startling! I went back there and it turns out it was Boots sitting on the fence screaming at this marmie cat that lives next door. Jeez. Nearly scared all the hair off my head. Anyway, while I was out there, I turned around and there was poor little Sammie kind of peeking out the doorway with these huge, terrified eyes like, “Mommy! What’s happening out there?!” It was scary but kind of funny all at the same time. Sheesh.

  32. lurkingsmirk says:

@Barbarella: I think it has been on CO before(?) I seem to remember the discussion of how it was done with laser pointer, the identification of the crusha commercial, and discussion on whether it was looped. I can’t think of any other site which would have brought together the same blend of great videos and commentary so I think it was CO.

  33. @QoD, did he get the poofy tail? I love the poofy tail. 👿

  34. Queen of Dork says:

Theresa: I couldn’t tell if his tail was poofed or not because they were too far away to see details such as that. But I bet he did have the poofy tail going on. Boots was just in here a bit ago wrestling a little with Sam. They will kind of growl and wrestle but never scream and fight. I petted Boots when he came in and he ate some food and left again. I think he’s in the back yard. I’m glad he and Sam get along relatively well because I couldn’t take those horrifying shrieks on a daily basis. Sam is currently laying happily in the dining room. Also, there was an earthquake nearby not long ago which was felt here (not by me) but both of them came dashing madly into the house with tails poofed and hid under my daughter’s bed. I love these two cats! There is never a dull moment around here! 🙂

  35. QofD I didn’t Realize you are in CA, if you are in Northern CA let me know and you can maybe come to the Next Northern CA Cuteoverloaders get together.

We go to really fancy places like Oakland zoo, Aquariums and Nature Museums and places like that.

Do you see a theme going on there?

  36. Queen of Dork says:

KittyAdventures: I WISH I was in Northern CA and I’m not sure what I said that caused this misunderstanding. Alas, no I don’t reside in Northern CA, I live in the Mojave desert right in the heart of Las Vegas, NV. (Best sunrises and sunsets and sky in general I’ve ever seen in my life, and I’ve been everywhere). 🙂 If you are in N. CA, how about a CO get-together in the Red Wood Forest!?!?! (yum).

  37. @ QofD…
Ahhh it was the earthquake comment ..
We just had a little one yesterday… and there was one in Southern CA too too bad you are in Las Vegas, IT would be so much fun to have you join us.

LOL @ Redwoods We have not done that yet! They are really beautiful and quite wonderful..

  38. Queen of Dork says:

KittyAdventures: Oh. Well, that earthquake happened actually in Mexico I think a bit ago. I really didn’t understand why the cats were freaking out so badly until the next day when I heard about some massive earthquake in Mexico (I think? I can’t remember for sure now and I’m sorry about that) which was felt here. Many of my co-workers felt it but I didn’t. I know what they feel like as I have felt them when I lived in Seattle. Anyway, the cats must have felt it because they freaked. At the time, I was like, “what the heck is wrong with the cats? Are they broken?!” But then the next day when I heard about the earthquake, I realized why the cats had become so upset.

I think a picnic in the Redwoods would be fabulous! I haven’t seen that beautiful part of this country since I was a little kid. I would love to see the forest again as an adult!

  39. @Theresa: the owls were awesome. They did a great job synching the motion to the music.

You are a scary person, you! I’m completely cowed by your knowledge and all the wonderful cutebits you share with us here. 🙂

  40. bookmonstercats says:

I like the chilled kitteh lying down.

  42. AnnieStuart says:

@ Melissa: that is one of my favorite birdie vids ever! i watch it when i need to get out of (or maybe into) a funk. 🙂

  43. Sarah M. says:

    Sprockets reference, FTW!

  44. I just can’t help but imagine them all singing in the depths of their little kitty hearts, “God I hope I get it, I hope I get it!”

  45. Melissa says:

Not trying to be a downer but this video is kinda old news… still cute nonetheless.

  46. 😆 Those kitties certainly know how to move in time to the music 😆

  47. @Queen of Dork 🙂 I am not surprised those kitties ran with poofy tails into your house 🙂 They know where it is safe to go 🙂 Just don’t be surprised if one day, hopefully never, they want you to follow them out of the house because they will be the ones leading you to safety.

  48. Love the kittehs, and the zombie cats, too, but can’t believe no one has posted this classic yet:

  49. Sure hope the sofa cover isn’t a relative!

  50. O NO he (she/it) DI-unt says:

hey Theresa — NICE curtsey, there.

(wanders away, mumbling about “didn’t know, that any of these young whippersnappers still KNEW about wimminfolk curtsey-in & all, it ain’t as thoug;aasdfsklfd;aosidf;asd”)

  51. O NO he (she/it) DI-unt says:

    (waving @ HonGlad)

Hey there!! I gotcher reference!!! YAY for HonGlad.

    also — How’re ye?

  52. thats the cutest thing I have seen in a long time kittens are the best!

  53. @ Theresa – I used to love the poofy tail too, until it got used on me. 2 weeks ago I got this ‘cat ears’ headband for dressing up, and whenever I wear it my beloved freaks out and gets the poofy tail. In fact last time she hissed at me! *sob* She only chills out when I take them off. You would think, what with the feedings and cuddles and strokes and what not that she would at least recognise my smell…. my voice.. the generally human-esque rather than freaky-giant-cat-esque demeanour… *sniff* 😦

  54. domanato says:

haha these cats are very cute…I especially like the small white one that’s smacking the grey one. Here’s another video of three big cats and one little cat dancing to a feather….the little cat is the cutest:
