YAY! My favorite animal!!! I adore Fennecs! I got to work with one at the Knoxville Zoo.
So so so adorable!
I want one so badly! However, keep in mind that all “rare or exotic” animals that are being sold are striped from their homes……… and though you feel like “well, I’m saving THIS one,” there are hundreds and thousands being ravished from their homeland all the time. Fennec foxes are SOOOO cute – and if one were in distress or lonely, I would take or buy him…… please check out this article about exotic pets before you act!
My neighbor has a ring-tailed lemur (Doma) and got it from here…. and she takes damn good care of it…. but regardless, many people buy these sorts of animals and have no idea of how to care for them (ah, hum, Paris Hilton, you shrew!) all while encouraging the hostage that incurs in gaining exotic pets…..if no money is made, more animals will remain in their rightful habitats….. its SO sad!!!!!
